I am a Chinese student who is now studying in Canada. The interior of those apartments in North Korea looks just like the new apartment in my grandma’s home back in Wuhan. 😅😅😅I believe this buildings may be designed by the Chinese construction company in a 1990s style.
Make no mistake. Pyongyang has been going through a long series of such shiny, show-off residential blocks. They all ended up losing their paint and tiles in less than a year and becoming almost uninhabitable not much later, with people installing their own coal stoves with handmade chimneys so they don't freeze in winter and car batteries on the balcony to help them over the city's regular blockouts. Apartments in the lower floors are highly desired because elevator service is completely unreliable. Unless, of course, you live in the very center of the town, in the area reserved for the country's nobility from the Worker's party.
I do believe that their tears are genuine because being a resident in one of that buildings such opportunities status and safety.
I hope the north Korean people prosper. Politics aside, any improvement to their life is good.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish the people of North Korea that they live in prosperity, well and happily!

I hope they have electricity to power the lifts
Amazing how it's all brand new and yet looks so old.
North korea is like a minecraft singleplayer world many buildings but all empty
Love all the shots of people just standing in the middle of empty highways. 😂
These people deserves Oscar
Bro this city is literally better than half of every city i see in Philippines 😭
Notice how every single light in every building is always on at the same time…
Politics aside, it looks very clean
I live in the US. I work 50+ hours a week with a Master's degree. I cannot afford any home in my city and must live with strangers to survive.
In 1 year they built more than my country in 30 years (Croatia)
This whole country feels like a fake reality show to me
North Korea reminds me of the fictional country Panem. A luxurious capital with very poor districts surrounding it.

The acting is amazing
Can you imagine such a big city with literally NO TRAFFIC on the roads?
