an unloved colour palette is a great idea, might start to really like the colours from doing that

Classics in watercolor hues snd mixing are always a win-win, to me as well, never boring. Those tried and true hues are faves as well including already made in tube Payne's Gray/Grey. I would like to include pre-made violets and greens to change up too. Thank you for such an enjoyable video.

Thank you Roksanna! Definitely, I too use pre-mixed greens to save time, although they're not my favorite. Payne's Gray is another really useful color!

I paint mostly botanicals but every time I see your landscapes I want to give it a try. Love your channel and blog!

I like to do the same ...I will look at a tree and want to draw the tree then trunk and roots then a branch with buds or leaves...I'm glad other artist like to do views like this...I thought I was a odd duck that I like to look at everything then draw small views since I'm just in my third yr of watercolor I found I like alot of grandulation type of colors I did buy basic colors as I watch my teachers on ytube used the most, but now I'm adding colors I seem to enjoy I purchased at xmas derwent graphitint set and Joseph z gray set I think it might be a internal think as I'm watching my country struggle thru its reflecting my painting even tho I know something is a bright green I'll go for something a more dusky color...I did just purchase tigers eye genuine and prussian blue/ green and I bought my first black to mix in to a few colors as we have black birds with blue sheen on their feathers at the right light angle...as I would like to paint some bluejays and blue birds I was hoping I could try to use these colors..(.its amazing how many color ranges I see now that I was taught to really look at a object to see colors within said object)......sitting on a moss covered branch even the moss has different ranges.not that I could ever get exactly the right color as mother nature but I do enjoy and laugh often at my feeble attempt to mix a similar color..I guess that's what matters the most is the joy you get in your art soul...when your painting or sketching....and thank you very much for video will eventually like to get neutral tinted wc...mikelle art mom✍👩‍🎨🎨( many art blessings for safety and peace for the Ukraine artists right now💙💛✌🙏🕊)
