Anytime! I truly do hope that you plan on making more analog horror videos like these. I really appreciate how authentic this video looked to something that was made on an actual analog format.
@@SwaggyG_2102 Oh yes definitely, taking the extra time for stuff like that can make all the difference in a video so i make sure to pay close attention to it
@@LiminalLandscapes Except that the Apollo program ended with 17. That we know of. And he's right. You ain't gonna launch a Saturn V without a LOT of people seeing it.
Nice work. As an alternative to the cosmonaut having set out and gotten lost theory (which would've left permanent footprints on the surface, as others have commented) peering into the capsule to see him still inside would've been stunning, which is where I thought you might go.
This is fascinating. I was a kid during Apollo and watched most of the things they broadcast on T.V. I had no clue! I watched Apollo 11 land sitting on the living room floor. This is truly shocking. The Russians did make it there but would never admit such a failure. And it all makes perfect sense. That the cosmonaut got stranded, literally, and could do nothing but die. I'll bet when things got close, he walked out to his death knowing it would all be over soon. Why hang around? And it makes perfect sense that we would know they got there and where and the outcome. The technology grab would have been priceless. They would have used the very best they had. This is incredible, mind-blowing. I tip my old hat to whomever did this. And it's all REAL. The story winds back perfectly to times I can remember and still see in my mind. Oh, my gosh...well done.
@@Vikingr91 I watched it a bunch of times and the more it did, the more I doubted it. I was actually skeptical at first because I lived through all that and never seen or heard of anything like it. The premise is really good. It all fits with the times. Perfectly. But you must be right. I kept going back to it and noticed more and more things that didn't add up. I will say, CGI can be incredible stuff. Well done.
@@Vikingr91 I looked at it a dozen times and never saw that. I glanced right over it. I was convinced that was exactly what would have happened during that time. In fact, I looked at it again and again before I began to question it and never once paid any attention to the description. I started wondering with all the empty food containers thing and no evidence of that. A person needs to pay attention these days...
Well, I bet the creator if the video will be very happy with this comment. This video is really well made. And the old VHS style gives a layer of authenticity to the work too. ❤
I think everyone has no idea that in the plans for a possible manned Soviet landing, a backup lander would've been used that was launched and landed previously on the lunar surface before the lander carrying the cosmonaut actually landed. The backup lander would've been used by the cosmonaut to ascend to lunar orbit in case the engines on his own lander failed, although this would've probably been highly unlikely since the lander also contained several backup engines. Might've been what happened here then. Also, great video and AMAZING rendering, really did look like an actual video recorded on the lunar surface at some times!
@@LiminalLandscapesnice! I love the intro, the fbi and nasa, and the info stuff, it’s so cool. I wanna do something like this. (This inspired me) and I’m guessing you used blender for the models?
Good sci fi short Apollo program ended in number 17 And the Soviets abandon all efforts to send cosmonauts to the moon once we beat them with Apollo 11
This is so phoney. Look at the landing legs of the "Soviet lander". Strong enough to land on Jupiter. I really wish people would stop this sensationalism for attention. A please people, stupidity is not a virtue.
If you had bothered to read the description box, you would have learned that it was a Fictional piece of work created with various CGI and editing tools.
Nobody in the comments mentioned that to find the Soviet cosmonaut all that was needed is to follow the footprints
no footprints that I saw, and they wouldn't vanish
@@guildpilotone Or would they?
lol shush
I like how you took inspiration from the Apollo 18 movie and the scene where the astronauts find the Soviet lunar module N1
Thanks! I absolutely loved that idea in the movie, I wanted to explore it but without those moon spider things they come across lol
The fact that there's no comments under here is so fucking criminal given how good this is.
That's extremely kind to say, thank you!

Cosmonauts got lost on the lunar surface, hahaha, enough to know this is very good, but inmensely fake.
Look at it today 😍👍
To fake the flag you should have bleached out the red. Years of UV light would have made the flag unrecognizable.
So you have been to the moon and know this as fact from all the time you spent there?
@@edwinharrison5992 Research what happened to the US flags left there. It's not rocket science.

100% correct. Good call.
The only weak point is that if you launch a saturn 5 more than a few people are gonna notice
The apollo mission itself wasnt secretive, only the investigations of the lander were

Apollo 22? Wtf? I've obviously missed something. And i live about 30/35 miles north of Kennedy space center.
Apollo 17 was the last mission. Lol
Ascent: Jed Mercurio. Someone read his fantastic book!
im guessing this takes place in a world where the space race didnt end in 1969 with a U.S victory
Correct, the USSR is able to successfully fly the N1, so the apollo missions are extended beyond apollo 17
