That could be a life long project to document that collection as it changes over time. Good job!
I agree! I like your idea
Hello Robbie. Another great presentation . Those old cars, lend themselves , very well to B&W . You have a very artistic eye, for things, other photographers may overlook . As for taking notes, I have 74 yr. old fingers , and shooting digital for 20 yrs, I relied on meta data. Now , after getting back into film, and forgetting to take notes , I use voice , and notes on my smart phone. When I get home, I edit them, converting word numbers to numbers, etc. Keep up the great work . Fedex delivered my Kodak 4x5 T-Max today. Now I'm ready for some fun .KB.
EDIT: I sent you a note on your Etsey account, about some cameras I would donate to your cause .KB.
Thank you, Ken! Always appreciated. Our shop is closed for the time being, I've got a lot of projects to work on but I really appreciate your offer :)
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Sounds goods .
I really like how the interior of the Comet turned out. I could spend days taking photos of old cars, great fun!
Thank you! I could spend all day there too
The 4x5/large format really is perfect for you, man. Your last few videos have been your best yet.
I really appreciate it, Jake :)
Beautiful!
What really made this brilliant.. was the story behind the shoot . Your commitment to the documentary in the way you took your time to build a relationship with the person with his passion for these old cars, really brought the story alive.
Lovely photos; very well done 👍
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words :)
This is awesome. Thanks!!! I am really excited about winning this great artwork! 😳☺️🤯
Hell yeah! Congrats, Fabian!
Those photographs are absolutely stunning. I love the galaxie photo and even that comet. It's just so beautiful to watch these cars in the snow.
9:15 is my favourite
I appreciate it! Thanks!
I have to say. The coloring, the editing, no, the whole emotion of your videos really impressed me. I've only recently started 4x5 photography myself and I'm still on the starting line, but very inspiring. Keep it up! You have my subscription ;) Greetings from Hanover, Germany.
Thank you so much, Boris! Happy to have you here.
That photograph of the Comet’s dash was great. Kudos to you for seeing that composition.
Thank you, Jim!
Love the Comet logo something fierce (@9:07 ) Really enjoy seeing someone just enjoy photography, and do what you do.
Thats what its all about - relax and have some fun :)
Really nice images and another beautiful video. I Love the Comet photo @ 9:07 Amazing, and thanks for sharing your work.
Thank you, Shane :)
The interior of the Comet at 9:06 is fantastic. Love the shallow depth of field on that one.
Thank you! My favorite as well
I have never commented on a video but I have to say that your quality is just through the roof, especially for a relatively new channel! Keep it up, looking forward to your videos every time I get notified!
Thank you, Lucas!
That comet shot is so awesome! I wish they made as pretty car today! Well done!!!
I do too!
Great video. The interior shot at 9:10 looks great. Great tonal range and I love the depth of field, or lack of it! This is the first video I’ve seen on your channel. Great work. Keep them coming! 👍
Thank you, Alex! Welcome to channel :)
Great video Robbie... I always enjoy watching and learning from your videos. It would be hard to choose one particular photo that you took during this video as I absolutely love them all. Thank you so much for sharing your days out photographing and for sharing your outstanding work. Keep up the great job!
Thank you, Rick!
Nice job Robbie! I liked to look at the snow too, knowing it is not happening where I live. Lol I learned a lot. Like the cars too!
Thank you, Cindy :)
You made go back in time when i use to shoot 4x5 film theres nothing like the feeling you when you shoot film !!! but anyways stunning images !!! GOD BLESS !!!
Thank you, Juan! You are exactly right
Hey Robbie, great photos as usual. I like the band Galaxie 500...soooooo it has to be the photo @2:30. Stay warm! looks like some really cold weather coming your way.
haha yeah - I love a good polar vortex
Such great content; LOVE the Comet dash at 9:11 (although it's a tough choice over the portrait at 10:30). Really enjoyed this video and your images!
Thank you :)
Fantastic video Robbie and that Comet Dash shot is beautiful.
Thank you my man!
9:15 is the keeper here man! Great job!!
After the first 15 seconds, I just knew this was going to be another great video!
haha much appreciated buddy!
Come for the film photography stay for the bloopers haha, I think 9:15 with the Comet type is a wonderfully detailed and compositioned frame!
haha Im glad you like my mistakes, William!
I liked the truck with the 2 chairs and the Galaxie too. Actually, I liked them all. Nice work Robbie. LarryMac
Glad you liked it, Larry! That one I was indifferent about and I think I still feel the same lol
Cool work! I'm glad I stumbled upon this vid. Favourite pic at 9:14. Love it!
Thank you!
there are so many great things about this video. lovely work
Thank you so much!
Great video. Fun. Thanks
RS. Canada
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the Comet interior at 9:18 , great shot !
Thank you, John!
Well I just discovered you and I will be following your channel. I did like your content but I also found your personality and the way you express yourself very interesting (as in nice, comforting, honest and also your sense of humor). I will be around because of both. Nice to meet you, time to binge watch all your stuff! 😂
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Oh man. In Germany I walk from point a to b all day and hardly find any motifs for my prints. From a photographic point of view, I envy every American. You have so many motifs, I couldn't afford that many films
haha I am starting to not afford film too
I just found your channel and I really like it ! Thanks for sharing what you do! . I’m really inspired to get a large format camera. Thanks again
Happy to hear it, Gustavo! Welcome to the team!
I’m prob too late but still warrants saying @ 9:10 the shot in the comet is INCREDIBLE. Love your work & love seeing you make the art. My bestie turned me on to your channel. 😍
Thank you so much! I love hearing that someone referred you to my channel! Feel free to drop their name and IG :)

Nice Video, id love to spend some time there! I like the photo at 9:07 best, it has a warm cozy vibe to it despite the cold outside.
That's an interesting perspective! I cant think of it being warm because I was soooo cold haha
Damn! It's so beautiful! Thank you for video 📸🤝
Thank you!
Just found your channel. Good work Robbie I really like. 👌
Thank you :)
Awesome production and photography man!
Thank you!
I've always loved photography and old cars. Personally for me the two best shots are the snowy trunk of the Galaxy and the dashboard of the Comet. I love it. Good job.
Thank you!
this car park feels like a treasure hunt. so many beautiful cars. even though they seem left to decay. what a shame. i was hoping for more Color bc of that nice contrast between those reds and blues and the white snow. but the monochrome feels great too. my fav shot has to be the total interior at 10:19. overall, nice video. very entertaining! thanks!
Thank you, Magnus! Whenever I start a project, I try to stick to one type of film but I did enjoy the shots on my OM-4 in color
The Galaxie @2:30. Just wow! Robbie you’ve been a source of my inspiration for capturing these subjects in my home town. The difference is that my format is instant film!
Instant Film can be so much fun! Happy shooting
You see that is the problem with living in the UK, there is a extremely minuscule large format fraternity which doesn't lend itself to on the books available to us, there are very few companies supplying film and chemistry, there is a very POOR second-hand market for equipment, (lovely 90 mm lens you have by the way), there is no land where there is old cars (land is far too expensive for anything other than a postage stamp sized garden, I have seen videos where Americans have larger garages than the whole of our houses including a small attached garage, nearly everything we need has import duty and HUGE postage costs BUT one thing we do have that makes me happy, is ... INTREPID camera Co. So there is hope for us yet, and I am enjoying the video as at the end of the day no matter what we have, or have not, it is a photographers job to take an ordinary everyday mundane subject and make it interesting and stand out.
Wow very well said, Norman. I really appreciate your perspective. Cheers buddy!
At 3:08 was really cool. Great video man!
Thank you, buddy!
Great video man, keep it up. I jus got my Intrepid 4x5 Black, pretty excited.
Cant wait to see your work!
I absolutely love the shot of the owner at 10:30
Yess! I was happy to give him a print of it and he was super eXcited with it :)
Damn... that Comet shot really is the winner of the day dude. Another beautiful video. What a treasure to find his collection and share it with us.
Thank you, Matt! I was really happy with the photos in this one :)
@10:16. Some great shots as always, man. So lucky to have somewhere like this to shoot. You just don’t get places like this here in Scotland, sadly. Also, when my girlfriend gives me sh*t for buying a large format camera, I’m blaming you😂😂
haha I am fine with taking the blame. Im a long way away to feel the true wrath LOL
Very very good. Actually feels like a breath of fresh air in an almost over-saturated film-photo-youtube-sphere!
That comet @9:10 holy hell dude
Thank you so much!
Yassss, Mike!
Really loving your work Robbie you're so talented.📷🎞👌
Much appreciated, Jake!

First video for me, and i know i will see most of them.. nice everything!😊
Welcome to the team!
Beautiful portrait at 10:30. Great video!
I know 90mm isnt ideal for portraits but I had to get the whole car in the shot :)
@@RobbieMaynardCreates nevertheless it turned out great. I live in Groveland, MA so not far from you. It's great to see a New Englander making videos of our area. Keep up the great work!
Awesome mate, Greetings for Australia :D
Thank you, Glen!
9:15 that comet shot is too good! Beautiful work Robbie!
Thanks, Leticia! Happy to see you found me haha
Hey bro, you have no idea the inspiration you mean to me, and i'm sure for a lot of others, your videos push me over and over for not giving up, to keep trying, keep learning. I feel very grateful about finding your channel.
Keep the good work. Keep inspiring people.
Big hug from Argentina.
Thank you so much, Reynaldo! I really appreciate you sharing that. Happy shooting :)
Great video man, thank you. At 6:13 I immediately fell in love with the almost blacked out picture of the bus. Amazing!
oh boy.... I dont know what that is but that is not how it was supposed to look LOLOL
Robbie, first time view for me......very good. I must repeat - I don’t need to go 4x5 shooting, I don’t need to go 4x5 shooting, I don’t............
haha keep repeating it - Thanks for stopping by, Mark!
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Just retired (early) to concentrate on photography at last and have been assembling my varied kit - polaroid, pinhole, 35mm film (normal and pano), medium format film, APS C digital, B&W digital, IR digital, medium format digital, scanner, printer. new to the channel and i absolutely love it man! Keep it up
Glad you enjoy it!
Digging the Letterkenny vibes off the top. Another great video Robbie, cheers!
To be faiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir. Cheers buddy
6:47, I absolutely love the texture from this image. I just recently got a 4x5 and am just waiting on my lens to come in and I can’t wait to start shooting with it. Keep up the great work
Thanks, David! Drop your IG so we can see your work!
@david_shoots_photos
@9:13 that comet shot, love the shallow depth of field! It’s the sort of image you could spent forever studying with all the little details on the dash. I enjoyed the colour shots of that camper van too, but this b&w just beat them for me 😃
Thank you so much, David! The Comet shot was my favorite too :)
6:49 damn the textures are incredible man. Great job 👍🏻
Yessss! Its all about the texture
Great video (and photos!) as ever! Makes me want to get into Large Format photography every time I watch one of your videos
Do it! You wont regret the time you spend on it :)
Amazing work as always! Love the shot at 10:16 (as well as the others)
Thank you buddy!
This was so enjoyable man! The atmosphere due to snow and those cars really was cool
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the comet shot man! 9:10
Yaa! Thanks buddy
Excellent Video Robbie!!!!!
Thank you, Sammy!
The 9:15 comet is very cool, nice video thank you
Thank you so much!
Really enjoyable video. My favourite was at @9:06
Thank you so much!
Holy moly, your photos are good. I mean it's classic.
Thanks :)
Another great video. As far as note taking, I use Microsoft onenote. Very useful for photo info and its free.
Great source! I have dropped my phone too many times to use it in these conditions lol
Your vids are dope man ! Great content
Thank you, buddy!
so cool to see you honing in on this new skill, these are some of your best 4x5s imo.. i would kinda wana send you a copy of my 2018 zine, its a bit cringe looking back and im doin some revisions but will see if its worth printing new ones, ill have to look up how to ship to the US
Im critical of my work too - Im sure its great. Hit me up on IG
@@RobbieMaynardCreates man sry, had some personal stuff come up in my life so havent gotten around to looking up international shipping rates or what ever, but ill hit you up when i get around to it!
Been waiting for this since I saw the photos...great fun. This is another sort of site which we don’t really have in the UK.
Car interior - 10:17 😺
Thank you, Andy! Im glad it lived up to the hype haha
The chairs at 4:26 is my favorit. 🙂
They were so cute - they came from an elementary school that was down the street.
Great stuff, as always. This doesn't help the fact that I really want a 90mm for my Intrepid. haha
Also, those Vans are so good. I bought some last year and was super surprised by how good they are. I mean, I've always loved Vans, but I was a tad skeptical of Vans hiking shoes. hahaha
Dude, I was too! So far, waterproof and warm. As far as the 90, Ill be doing a video on it soon but hit me up on IG anytime :)
Nice photos! I really wanna shoot in the snow but snow isn't a thing here in Portugal :(
haha if you ever make your way stateside, come to Massachusetts! We have tons of snow
9:07 I’m a Black and White junkie especially when shooting scenes! Idk why but your photos have such a nice flow to them!
Thank you! I dont think anyone has ever said that to me so I appreciate it :)
Nice video. Nice shots.
Thank you very much!
I really enjoyed the video. Did you shot the Lomo 800 @ box speed? ...beautiful colors
I did - I did expose for the highlights in most of the shots.
Love the video man!! Was the Tmax rated @ 100 and developed regularly or did you push it one stop?
I shot it at 100 and developed normally - I used fresh chemistry (Ilford DD-X) and it just makes those blacks pop.
great video, well done on the photos, makes me want to get the intrepid as well :) but those lenses seem to cost an arm and a leg...Way to go with the front swing as well
They can get pretty crazy but Ill be doing some videos detailing my lenses.
So nice, good job
Thank you, Carlos!
How do I have only discover this chanel now? Well, guess I will do a marathon
Thats the best way to do it! Welcome aboard!
Fantastic video!
Thank you very much!
Love this !!!! 2:29!!!
I love that G A L A X I E
With 7:34 you got my tears
Oops LOL
Very nice!
i reallly liked the shot at 4:30
It doesn't seem to be the popular vote but I was super happy with how that turned out :)
Love this channel
Thank you Lucas!
Loved the truck at 4:39. I’ve been shooting 4x5 on an Ondu Pinhole and just ordered an Intrepid. What is your process for scanning negatives? Thanks!
Hey Dave! I was using a DSLR to scan but I just wasnt happy with the color rendition I was getting so I pulled the trigger on the Epson V850 :)
The Comet shoot almost made my cry. So beautiful! /Tony Axelsson @fotosbytony from Stockholm, Sweden
Thanks for the IG drop, Tony! I will give you a follow :)
Super rad
Thank you :)
This is awesome, what’s swing?
Thanks, Tristan! Swing is when you alter the front standard from right to left or vice versa. I think its easier to show it than explain it haha
Man I love ur vids
Thank you very much!
Amazing everything!
Thank you!
Generally speaking, about how much would a person have to invest in a sufficient tripod for the Intrepid 4x5?
You're asking the wrong guy - I buy all the cheap tripods lol
@@RobbieMaynardCreates you haven't seen any problems? Intrepid's website says you can use a regular tripod but they recommend a heavy one for more stability. I just wanted to ask someone who shoots with it in the field.
@@pabdiary oh I've had problems. I just hate the idea of spending $700 on a tripod that holds a $300 camera lol
Did you go back and show the owner your prints?
I did! I gave a print of him and his 55'. He was really happy about it :)
@@RobbieMaynardCreates love this ^^
Where is this place? I want to live there.
Ill never tell ;) lol
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Spoilsport.
Hey Robbie. This old rusty cars were really worth it to waste a lot of precious large format film? Come on.
I don't understand why so many large format shooters can't find better motives which at least kind of justifies the use of such big film negatives. That ignorance and waste of chemicals hurts.
Please choose your shots more carefully. It's good for the environment and a relief for the viewer.
That's the beauty of photography, its subjective. Your opinion isn't wrong and my choice to shoot what I want isn't wrong either. Glad you stopped by to say hi.
Great video!
Thanks!
