Forget my alarm- in December, the only thing I wake up for are my advent calendars
These vlogs give me such a warm fuzzy feeling! The way you interact with your family and the fun you have together reminds me of my family. I moved out a few years ago, and I wish I could see my family more often. It gets lonely living on my own, but these vids makes me remember the fun times we had together, so I just wanted to thank you for that!

I've never lived on my own, but I may one day soon, I went straight from living with family to living with a roommate.
What's it like alone? Is it scary, lonely, boring, too quiet.?
Is there an upside? Get to make your own decisions, know that something will be where and how you left it? Not have got clean up after someone else?
@@angelika_munkastrap4634 Yeah those are some of the good reasons for living alone but honestly, its good living with someone else because you can share chores and bills etc. When you live alone you have no help, if the house gets messy its on you to clean it, if the bins need to be taken out its up to you, bills up to you, it can be stressful knowing its all on you to keep it all going. I have a cat so I'm not totally alone I don't know where I'd be without her, but she's been very ill for a whole year with liver disease and trying to keep this house running and pay vet bills, take her to vets every week etc all on my own has been extremely hard. It's been the worst year of my life. I sometimes daydream of the times I lived at home and didn't have all this worry. But I wouldn't change it because I'm proud of myself for being strong and getting through it all, just, lol.
@@angelika_munkastrap4634 I lived with roommates a year before I found a place for my own, and I much prefer living alone. I do agree with @UCsrSxRw6YpvHFzSJwQlbeIA, it's nice to split the chores so you don't have to keep up with the whole house by yourself. But I noticed that my hygiene standarts were a little higher than those of my three roommates. They always left the kitchen and shower pretty gross for example, so I loooove cooking and showering in a clean place now!
I also wasn't able to unwind with people always being around me, and even if I was alone in my room I could hear what the other s were doing and vice versa. I could hear conversations and other sounds from the other room right through the wall. Horrible when they would have their boyfriend over :(( I haaaated that haha
When I first moved in the place for my own it was pretty quiet, and I did get quite lonely. Even now I struggle with that sometimes. So I really have to push myself to get out of my apartment and hang out with friends or invite people over. With roommates you always have people to talk to, and on your own you have to make more of an effort to reach out to people if you want to talk. I do also have a cat to keep me company, and that was the best decision ever. She is the greatest and sweetest and I don't know what I'd do without her.
But there are definitely a lot of positives! I for one love that the cleaning and everything is only up to me. That means that I can decide how clean of messy my space is! It did seem like too much to handle in the beginning (bc in an ideal world I want everything clean all the time), but I just do a chore or two everyday to keep up with the housework. I also let go of my high standarts a little bit. Not everything has to be cleaned every week.
I'm sorry for the wall of text, I tried to keep it short but I just can't haha. Also sorry in advance for spelling/grammar mistakes, English is not my native language. Good luck to you for when you're going to be living on your own! The step might a bit frightening, but you only know how you'll like it when you do it!
@@xxxxOS You're doing great, taking care of you're cat like that and trying to keep up with housework and everything. You've probably heard this a million times, but life really does get better. You've already come this far, you can do this! Also, remember that it's okay to ask for help. Maybe you have family or friends that can help you give your place a good clean, or join you and your cat to the vet so you don't have to go alone. From my experience, people are willing to help as long as you just ask for it. Sending my love to you and your cat, I hope he/she is going to get much better soon!

I've only ever gotten an advent calendar once in my life. I ways want to get one but I end up forgetting till it's like halfway through December. I'll have to start a yearly reminder in November to go out and buy some !

Debenhams had a black Friday weekend half price special on a make up advent calender from £90 to £45 for apparently £190 pounds worth of make up. I didn't get one, only saw it advertised but thought it might be interesting. Still expensive though.
