I just wanted to let you know.. In every teaching I was taught "how to be a christian" they made everyone sound like clones to be acceptable to God. The way you are portraying the disciples, at least so far, there uniqueness stays even as they follow Christ. Thank you.

Yep that's called "cookie-cutter Christianity". But it's not true, God uses us all for different purposes and we can't expect to be treated the same way as others. That's why Paul says to the Corinthians:
      "
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”

Luke 9:23-24 in red, Jesus spoke to his deciples to pick up our crosses & follow Him. Jesus is not cloning us, He fairly shares His purpose He was born into this world commands us to follow Him bc it’s all about turning away from our sins & the world which we where born into a fallen generation be redeemed & be restored unto the Holy Father as initially was planned. Live his life in us & His kingdom on earth & be that light in darkness. God dosen’t enslave us He is life & wants us to live abundantly in his Life and bring others into His kingdom & be spared from sin ,death & damanation …

Ugh. I can't articulate how I love the way this show is (becoming) an instrument of unity. It was as though Jesus knew how divisive we can get as human beings and so prayed for unity in the church...but we still fumbled that. This denomination. That denomination. We vs them. Them vs we. Keep up making the biblical account of the story of Jesus! Always consult the real guy - Jesus Christ - every time you write those scripts, and it'll come out beautiful like always. You can watch this show, but are you 100% sure that if you died today you would go to heaven?
      Do you know Jesus Christ?
I am convinced that most people who call themselves "Christian" know religion instead of Jesus Christ. Or they have created their own God in their head. That is why we must make sure that we know the God of the bible and know that we are truly saved.
Lay religion, Christian culture, and even politics aside. Someone who truly loves you is reaching out to you not willing that you should perish (2 Peter3), but that you be saved from the price of your sins.
With that said, how do you deal with your sin? Yes you. How many times have you lied, lusted, or stolen? I'm guilty, what about you? I hope you feel convicted.
But if you're going to reject the free gift of salvation, you ought to think about where you are going after death.
      Is this your mindset?
      Luke 12:19
“And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”
Please please do not be this person that Jesus described here. I don't care how if you are in a ministry or even behind a pulpit. And their is no shame in getting saved.
      Matthew 7
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
You see there will be professing Christians that were not actually saved.
      I want to help you.
      Matthew 18:3
"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Because of God's holiness we cannot be in his presence as we are in our sin. No matter how righteous one may appear everyone has sinned and one sin can lead to hell, but there is a way out. We don't deserve it but God made a way that we may become the righteousness of God (Romans 5). I want you to have 100% assurance of salvation.
      Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
      John 14
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
      Romans 6
23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
      1Corinthians 15:
      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
      Romans 10
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For WHOSOEVER shall CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be SAVED.
Here is the gospel straight and simple:
      1. Truly acknowledge that you have sinned against a perfect God and you are worthy of hell that can only be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ
      2. Believe that Jesus died for and covered all of your sins and rose again.
      3. Say to God that Jesus Christ he is your saviour.
Please let me know. I am praying for you, today is the day of salvation.
      2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

  • @championsofdestinyllc5694

Love the application of your discussion to today’s cultural tone of acrimony for opposing views. Yes, we could learn from the kind of humility that respectfully holds space for opposing views even while presenting our own. Perhaps we all need to search our hearts? Are we seeking power or truth? Can we love/respect each other as fellow humans as we seek truth? Or must we hate others whose ideas we oppose? And not only deny them space in the marketplace of thought, but seek to destroy them? Lord, help us all!

I appreciate what the Rabbi has said, he is after all quoting the Mishna about the two schools, "A disagreement which is for the sake of Heaven will be preserved, and one which is not for the sake of Heaven will not be preserved. What is a disagreement that is for the sake of Heaven? The disagreement of Hillel and Shammai. That is not for the sake of Heaven? The disagreement of Korah and his congregation" (Pirkei Avot), however, he did not give the full picture.
The dispute between the two beliefs was so great that it split the Jewish faith in two camps. Perhaps their initial dispute was for the "sake of heaven," but the result was certainly not. Their dispute was so deep and device that the Tosefta (compilation of the Oral Law and companion to the Mishna) recorded that, ""the Torah (Jewish law) became like two Torahs" (Hagigah 2:9). The depth of this split hindered every aspect of communal worship and community, perhaps each side would say they were being faithful and they were arguing for the "sake of heave, " (what religious position proponent doesn't say this), but the result was divisive, not restorative.
Sadly, the juxtaposition with Korah is less than helpful and inappropriate in this comparison unless one would consider that, in every instance of Hillel and Shammai's disagreement only one of them is correct and the other is leading people away from God. Further, in every instance, each side said this about the other side thereby (one of them was) misrepresenting God and taking on themselves God's authority. It would seem that the most one could say is that the two schools are both trying to follow God and are thereby being faithful, though one or the other is patently wrong. It would seem also, based on this truth, that one or the other side is actually faithless in proposing the opinion and position that they have taken in which case this is a disagreement "not for the sake of heaven." The historical account records one this for sure, the dispute divided the faith, not united it.

Because Jesus didn’t come and glorify them as they felt they deserved they sought to put their own Messiah to death. Jesus over and over rebuked them. Make no mistake they were Children of Satan as Jesus declared in John. Jesus declared that He came to cause them to blind because of their arrogance. They were not humble. They were self righteous hypocrite. John tells us they preferred the glory of men over the glory of God.

That’s exactly how I read Yanni’s character! He struck me as amazingly agile when it came to manipulating the words spoken by Shimmon’s secretary for his purposes. Yanni has an agenda…which it seems to me is slowly dawning on Shmuel…and is determined to move it forward! It doesn’t seem to matter to Yanni that what is reported is ACTUALLY right, as long as it fits the narrative he’s peddling. Shmuel has become a tool in Yanni’s arsenal. I guess we shall see. 😉. Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be
destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
    - (AMPLIFIED version)
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus.
    Xx

If you truly repent, you will follow Jesus oft said words of "go and sin no more." (Go and break YHVH's Law no more.)
Luke 1:6And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and aordinances of the Lord blameless.
If you want to build up your treasure in Heaven, then keeping the Law is how you do good works .
Works alone cannot save you. You must have faith that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to pay your debt of lawlessness, and ask Him to be your Savior and King.
The laws that Jesus taught against were the traditions of the rabbis. Matthew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the
    commandments of men.
    Matthew 5:17
Don't think that I came to destroy the law or the. prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill.
The Law is the contract of behavior between God and Man. Jesus didn't do away with this contract, and the full contract will not be fulfilled until God the Heavens and Earth pass away. Since we are still sitting here waiting and watching for Jesus to make His second appearance, we can conclude that the current Heavens and Earth are not yet made new, hence that the full agreement of how many will act after signing on through accepting Jesus, and what Father God is doing is not yet finished!
Context is key! Study all of your Bible! It is all one contract for one people: the Elect! The Elect by definition are those that keep the Commandments and have the Testimony of Jesus Christ:
Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Our lives is a gospel even when our lives are not documented on the Holy Bible, but we are assured that our lives are relying to be lived in fullness of truth by the Gospel. To respect ideologies are good, that is why in the script writing when pertaining to the gospels is understandable for creative purposes. However, the scriptures that are accurate are very vital for the story to be conveyed truthfully. Jesus must not be a Pharisee. He didn't need an approval from a High Priest just to preach in the Synagogue. He is assertive that he must be in the Father's house. When he preaches that whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood, I remain in him, He remain in me. John 6:54-57
"The One who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. My flesh is really food, and my blood is truly drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood, live in me and I in them. Just as the Father, who is life, sent me, and I have life from the Father, so whoever eats will have life from me.
The Lord is yesterday, today and always.
The Holy Communion is seemingly as Jesus desire to establish from his words. We benefit from the Holy Eucharist and Holy Eucharistic Adoration.
I think Jesus is not a Pharisee, he always desire to be assertive in his ways of preaching, healing, giving sight, casting out demons and raising the dead, he is way above a Pharisee. He is God.❤

The question is not at all. Anyone who no longer knows that Moses' and Aaron's sister was the first-name prophet can read this again in Exodus. Jesus was with the Pharisees, sinners and sick ones, not only as a prophet, but as the Son of God, as a healer and savior of the souls of all sinners. He lived the commandments of the Father and did only his will. The Pharisees could not do that because they themselves could not hold the commandments. Blot lips knowledge have no strength. Only those who do the will of the father deserve their childhood. As sinners, we can hope for Jesus' grace. His death on the cross made this possible. Let us accept his gift, confess our guilt to him for our transgressions, repent of our renunciation of love for neighbour and enemies before Christ, and implore Jesus for mercy, we may hope for his salvation.

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
Yeshua was a Jew but He never observed law as Pharisees do, he came to fulfill it because the law of Moses and the prophets was pointing to Christ, it couldn't give righteousness to the observers, it was the shadow of the things to come ,(Jesus Christ ).Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

If the Bible did not identify Yeshua, Jesus Christ, as a Pharisee I don't understand the purpose of this discussion or the question. If you want to know, read your Bible. If the Bible says He was, then He was. If it doesn't say so, there is no basis or purpose for this question. What is for certain, He is the Messiah, The Son of God, The Savior of the World, and one of Three Persons in the Godhead.

It is because as a faithful we are bound to find what are truth according to the revelation of God from time to time. The Holy Spirit will teach and guide us. If I will look only on the Bible, I am going to dismissed all the other revelation of God that was not written. In the book written by John (I'm not sure if it is the book of John or the book of Revelation), he said that not all the work of Jesus are written, but what was wrote was there for us to believe. Take for example, Joseph the foster father of Jesus, the scripture indicated that he was the son of Eli and on the other hand he was a son of Jacob. So who is his father according to the scripture? Nothing was written, but the Jews have their customs that if the a brother died without a child with his wife, she would marry his other male sibling to bore a child under the deceased husband. And according to tradition, Eli had died without a child, and his brother Jacob mary his wife and she bore a child. Thus Jacob is the biological father of Joseph, but due to their customs, Joseph was under the name of Eli.
If we focused our truth only on what was stated on the Bible, we will be shorthand of what was God has revealed already. We will be shorthand also in knowing God in His fullness for what we have are partial truth. Partial truth will only lead to partial relationship with God.
In the book of Timothy it says that the foundation and bulwark of truth is the church. So our foundation of truth is the church, for on His church He will reveal His truth.

Steven, you can discuss this topic, but are you 100% sure that if you died today you would go to heaven?
      Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

Yeshu'ah ben Yosef ben Da'vid haMelekh...ben haAdam ben haElohim chaim was most likely a Pharisee. His utterances were identical to Hillel haZaken the nasi of the Sanhedrin; Shammai "built a fence about Torah, which is incorrect. Shammai walled Judaism in and cut it off from the people and made it almost exclusivley an ethnic racial consideration. Did Yeshu'ah and Hillel live at the same time???? it is questionable; but to listen to the utterances oif "Sh'ma" in the Great Temple that our Rabbi made it is highly likely that they may well have. We do NOT know. If Yeshu'ah was against the P'rushim why would he eat with them? Why were Yosef haRamatatheia and N"kdemon [Nicodemus] ben Gurion follow him and speak up against a Sanhedrin ad hoc posse? TYhe Kethuv'im of Yochannan as wellas the Kethuv'im of three of the synotpics are written by Galillean Jews from inside of Judaism. they were not condeming Judaism; they were writing as Jews inside Judaism asking the question: "...why are other Jews persecuting this Jew, one of us,. one of our fiaht...why?" Was Yeshu'a haNotzri a Rabbi? yes..unequivocally. The Kethuv'im of the synotpics say that. Was he a Pharisee [P'rushim] most likely; his judgments were enlightened and his interpretation of Torah were gifted; these two characters "enlightm, ent" and "gifted" were a hallmark of Parisee utterances and Talmudic Judaism. His utterance at the the4 crowd about the woman caught? in adultery are Pharisaiic; he knew the law of Moshe' [peace be on his name] concerning adultery. Only a Pharisee would have judged this way.
