I agree with all points my friend Dr Azim mentioned, but, there is a risk for those who will invest at the point when the prices of the seed be very high and due massive production the garlic will have to be sold as commodity for the consumers. These particular investor will get either very less profit or may go in loss
Your concern is valid. However, even if the product is sold for as low as 300/kg, there is still a low risk of loss because the farmer will receive a minimum of 30 lac/acre. Additionally, the farmer has the option to use it as seed for the next crop to increase production, making it a win-win situation.
Dr sb, Thanks to inform about all facts and figures of G1 Garlic. I'm bit confused about quality improvement of this new H😮ibrid verity of garlic. Why not a control seed Management Programme was launched for ease of farmer and producer.
Thankyou for commenting. This is not a hybrid, it’s a collection from our mountain ranges. It’s been in process for around 10 years now. Now as the supply has increased, we expect that this year the domestic players will work on a program that will provide ease to the farmers.
Dr azeem Sb you are true son of the soil great research I request you to search for it's by products medicines etc anti fungus and controllers for fruit fly etc protect vegetables thanks
