Grey scotch is not enough on fender need to wet sand but first test with thinner if primer comes off you have to sand it off and prime it again if it doesn't it's epoxy primer and it's fine to sand and paint, but be safe and seal bumper and fender, I've seen new paint peel off .
pharrawy, your two videos on the fake GTI Pro Lites are pretty good. I like this video because you actually testing out the gun. After watching the gun spray, I ordered two GTI Pro Lite (both fake), one with a TE20 air cap and one with a TE10 air cap from AliExpress. Both with 1.3mm needles and I purchased a T110 air cap with a 1.3mm needle with a total cost of about $195. Also picked up an extra 600ML pot for $9. I plan on using one for basecoats and one for clear. I have some other guns that have 1.4mm and 1.7mm needles that will do for primers and sealers. I will be watching your videos for more helpful information. Thanks!

Nice job man. That gun seems to shoot great. I have a couple of questions for you.
1. How big (gallons) is your air compressor?
2. What psi were you running going into the gun?
3. What were your settings on the gun to achieve that foray pattern?
4. Where do you get your paint and clear at?

Should paint atleast an inch on back side of edge's to keep paint from peeling off edges

A lot of over spray but the clear looks like it is slick as glass.maybe turn fluid and air down a bit.

It seems like for the money it might not be to bad of a gun I just bought a FRIEND lite used on eBay for $266 dollar's without the box looking at your comparison video I'm not sure I could tell the original vs fake I hope I bought the real thing I haven't tried it yet any idea on tell apart without seeing both

Hello may i know which gun do you think will the best recommendation for spraying, mini gun, DTM epoxy primer or primer surfacer, sealer, base coat and clear coat? The best gun for each use?

i just got this so called fake gun box came with hologram saying original and finish is good too yet to try it out it came with t110 plus i got te20 air cap mine isn't covered in grease very light at best am just paint my own items

You know how I know you love what you do? Because you’re great at painting and body work and your car port wall is half ass painted. Hahaha. I turn wrenches for a living and love every minute of it, but I’ll drive my truck with only one headlight for six months until somebody offers me a free headlight at the shop.
Dang bro that 2nd coat wow mine does the same way if you try to go lower than that it doesn’t atomize very well maybe one day I can get me a better one I think mine is worse than yours lol

Thanks for the review,im looking to get a fake devilbiss also, like many cant afford to get the real deal,besides the gun my question is about your air compressor,wich one your using how many galons and cfm,and were did you get it,also how much,im looking to get into painting motorcycle parts wich are not big and ive been told i need a 60-80 galon compressor and 10-14 cfm, but i see yours is small and heard it recharge a couple of times while spraying but i saw no issues with the spraying when it recharged,bumper and fender looks good👍👍

Pharraway what i might of saw was your power washer,in one of your videos i saw you have a husky compressor looks like a 60 gallon,by the way im the one who commented about what air compressor you wher using and how much,👍👍i was actually looking at one on craigslist for 400 bucks,husky.
Johnny Rivera go get a used DeVilbiss! They will last longer and perform way better! Remember tgat you get what you pay for.
Please explain the can of adhesion promotor? Is that for ALL aftermarket parts metal and plastic?
That will be only for plastic parts new or old

You need to blend almost every time but if you have a good paint rep that can match the paint well you don't need to blend

You mention that you got a lot of overspray when shoving clear with that gun. What air cap did you get on it?
To tell you the truth I don't remember and I don't have that gun anymore
Cant you dial the fluid in so not much overspray. And in previous video. Im pretty sure he has T110. Best for clear

Carlos Montes raw with the adhesive promoter no need to prime, if you want you can ad sealer after the promoter

Your fan setting is too wide and pressure to high for clear, not the gun it's not knowing how to set up your gun,
Nah this gun does not work like the original, its too center heavy
Quit using knock off guns and you won’t have any issues. If you’re looking for a flat finish, get the real gun and use the t110 aircap. Don’t waste your money on fakes. If you can’t make back the money you spend on the first job, you shouldn’t be painting, frankly. People pay for good paint.

@@PHARRAWAY Thanks for review and actually showing a paint job with gun. Some of us are not professionals and may be planning to just paint a personal vehicle one time. Why do we need to purchase a high dollar gun for one time use, when our results probably wont come out perfect anyway ? This gun is no more costly than an entry level gun and might help achieve better results. I watched many reviews on this gun with many people bashing them but you are only person that actually painted with this gun and gave an honest unbiased opinion, thank you for that.

pharraway it is but believe it or not I bought 2 brand new ones from amazon. The first one had scratches on it and a divot in the handle's finish. The second had scratches on one of the air caps and the knobs for the fluid and fan were horribly machined. It looked like they just stopped trying to machine the parts properly. I took off the parts and made 1 decent gun out of em, and returned the other gun. Tekna's build quality and quality control is a joke

Tekna is made by Devilbiss. The Tekna ProLite is the US version of the GTi Prolite. There are fakes out there of both models. AliExpress have the fake guns at real low prices and you will find them branded under different names.
yup you need to be careful where you get them they are fake ones out there
