  • Hello!
This is part 2 video of 2 that I am sharing with you and it's a Afrcia challenge build, where I tackled my first everf diorama of German Africa corp..
SVM stands for Svet v malem, is a scale model club here in Slovenia of wich I am a part of. All members were given a challange to build somethin Africa themed, so I decided to build a diorama. Because, why not?! :))
Out of 23 participanst, only 13 of us actually finished the challange. Wich is a bit of a shame but eh, what arte you going to do. :))
This video will cover the building of models, that will eventualy go on the diorama and in the second video, I will be showing my build process of the diorama it self.
    SCALE IS: 1:35
The size of the diorama is:
    28,5 mm x 19,5 mm (a smidge smaller than A4 paper)
For this project I have used the following items:
    TAMIYA 351238 Kübelwagen type 82
TAMIYA 35343 German Africa corp. Luftwaffe artillery crew set
    TAMIYA 35074 German tent set
TAMIYA 35111 German infanty weapons set
    TAMIYA 35026 Jerry cans set
    AK 8020 Desert sand
    AK 8022 Sandy desert
    AK 8098 Construiction foam
MAQUETT 3.0 mm thick Styrene sheet 194x320mm code: 601-07

A very nice diorama, Tomo; very realistic and convincing. It's a shame that the hill wasn't big enough to accommodate the flak gun (I like what you say: "Measure twice, cut once... not the other way around!")

Yes it was a bit of a "oh shit" moment :) But in a way it saved me, because I was pressed for time and if I built the flak Cannon I wouldn't have finished on time :)

Thank you for the compliment :) I is my first diorama and I was shaky. But using AK diorama products is realy easy :)) You just have to jump in and do it :)

@@Mysmallhobby I'm not sure of posting photos here, but I did a Kubelwagon based upon an old black and white photo of a scouting party.

Use guitar string. It comes with internal smooth wire and wrapped with coiled wire. Use the 6th string ‘e’ for electric guitar. (just and idea I found on CZcams)
