I believe the idea that Sea Gull meant as it's "child birth" with the idea in mind that children tend to be extremely picky with food and a huge money spender on things that sadly will go to waste. I have witnessed parents purchasing "Kid friendly" meals costing sometimes more than what their normal meals are worth for just the child to nibble and then the rest of the food to go to the trash can. I have seen so much food gone straight to the trash because the kid was "picky" and they feel it "taste weird." With these hard economic times, I also see this as a baby stopper for me. Even at a good age of 27 and married for three years, I'm not yet ready for children. As much as I'd love to have one of my own, children are pricey to raise. With this video and many other videos I have watched, it is going to be extremely hard to raise a child being picky.
It also really depends how the child is raised to appreciate a meal too. Some parents accept the child to be picky, while others make it mandating to not waste a single drop of food.
