      Honestly I don't really get why people think Kevin was right in this scene ? The gang are close friends who already know each other's characteristics and personality for more than a years while Kevin here is just a new guy who immediately judge them having "Inappropriate social behavior" I mean I know he's a psychiatrist but it takes lots of time to understand other people's character & relationship so in Kevin's perspective they are disturbing but the gang doesn't feel that because they are very close with each other just like a family and it's kinda make sense for them to make a joke that only they will understand since it's also part of their inner circle talk,and they care about each other that is not a bad thing

    Seriously I gotta say that Kevin is right. It's not that I wouldn't like the gang's dynamic friendship even if it has a lot of flaws. But I gotta say that we should look at it from a different perspective. Let's be real that would have never worked out in real life. We all watched this series and should actually know it better than Kevin. Maybe people just wish to have friends or such a group of friendship, but we have to realize that life is not like a sitcom.

    • @Ratchet2431
      @Ratchet2431 Před rokem +1

      Of course. A relationship as weird as Ted/Robin/Barney would only last a couple of weeks in real life. The worst thing is that the series acknowledges that there is a potential problem there in one episode but never develops it.

    • @thejamesdiamonds
      @thejamesdiamonds Před 9 měsíci +1

      I think this isn't about sitcom or real life since in real life we also got some close friend who share a joke that only we will understand,Kevin being a new guy who immediately judge this close friendship even though he's still not being part of the inner circle of the group is the one that's wrong since he just judge them without even learning their characteristics or knowing the full story of their relationship as a friends

    • @lionkingflo6355
      @lionkingflo6355 Před 9 měsíci

      @thejamesdiamonds Well I don't think that we can say it that a normal Group of people would remain in the same situation because even though Kevin does judge it as new guy is he still right about it that the attitude of the group does have a lot of toxity in it. I mean seriously robin, ted and Barney in the group after season 3 wouldn't remain friends irl at least not 2 of them. The lying, no boundary and manipulation in the group is addresses a lot in this group as an problem with them just ignoring it and acting like everything would be alright

    • @thejamesdiamonds
      @thejamesdiamonds Před 9 měsíci

      @@lionkingflo6355 I think they ignoring the problem is the right choice since if they keep bringing this up it just split them apart and I see their behavior act more like a joke or simple things rather than serious think so I guess thats also another reason why they cool with that

    Somehow i live with a similar group, and i'm the only one who doesn't share that way.
    They all love to talk about their very-intimate life, too much.
    I'm not shaming sex, it's a nice thing, but there is still the part where none of us asked about it.
    I didn't want to know, when we were all cramped in a car for 30 minutes travelling, what the oldest friend newly tried with someone we don't even know. I hated it and that friend didn't want to stop describing it.
    Because I'm afraid of hurting people's feelings, i shut my mouth, but inside, i was like this:
    "I don't find you attractive enough to think about you naked, so if you could just shut-up about your sweaty body doing i don't want to know what ! Nobody asked nobody would have, nobody will, just shut-up !"
    On a related note, i really don't understand how describing the sex we had is a social thing when we didn't actually ask the partner if we could talk about their bodies and what we did together. I'm maybe stretching it, but to me, it's part of the intimacy to keep that to yourself, especially when it means being vulnerable together. There is consent involved, about talking or keeping in what transpired.

They are 5 very close friends with enough trust between them to be able to text each other while pooping. They aren't uncomfortable with that. Kevin is. It's his problem, not theirs. If it's a random person doing something to other person without them knowing or accepting, that is inappropriate. But if it's a group of people, even if it's just two people and they are okay like that, back off

    • @harringt100

    • @josipstipanovic613
      @josipstipanovic613 Před 2 lety +4

      @@harringt100 So what? Just because they move away doesn't mean you stop being friends. If you do then that's not really a friendship. And it absolutely doesn't mean you won't make any new friends or that those are all the friends you will ever have. What kind of a mindset is that? If they all move away you will still meet people and you will still go out and eventually you will meet another person who will be happy with your weird. That's a fact. People come and go as you live, with some you are close, with some you are not. Some will be your friends for the rest of your life and some will just be a passing face. Having only few of them or even just one that will stay your friend and be there for you no matter what and no matter how far you go is better than having a million people who will call themselves your friends, but only if you behave the way they expect you to.

      First of all he is a psychologist what do you expect he studied the behaviour of people. Second of all he actually has a mayor point.

      That's true,Honestly I don't really get why people think Kevin was right in this scene ? The gang are close friends who already know each other's characteristics and personality for more than a years while Kevin here is just a new guy who immediately judge them having "Inappropriate social behavior" I mean I know he's a psychiatrist but it takes lots of time to understand other people's character & relationship so in Kevin's perspective they are disturbing but the gang doesn't feel that because they are very close with each other just like a family and it's kinda make sense for them to make a joke that only they will understand since it's also part of their inner circle talk,and they care about each other that is not a bad thing

    And Kevin is overly assertive, demanding, a softy, abnoxiously personal, and has too deep of mother son relationship attachments , whats his point
