Get the carne asada , plantains, pinto and cant forget the fried cheese . And get a cacao shake in the back, Its 24/7 btw. But it has to be the one in little havana (the original) cause they got others but aint the same. And then hit a Dominican food truck down 35st behind taboo 305 they open till 4am. And for a good brunch go to Manta in wynwood it's peruvian food, manta is a little more upscale than the other spots but they all smack 🔥🔥
Only thing I will say is I feel like half these spots you try would definitely be better if you tried it in the restaurant like you was doing in Cancun and Nashville . But then again if it’s good lukewarm then it’s really banging hot🤔
If you ever go to Louisiana, specifically Lake Charles, you HAVE to go to Darrell’s and get the Darrell’s Special, it’s easily the most hyped up place in the area and worth every penny. So much flavor🙏

The French toast is the hype. McDs breakfast is ok. The Cafe is an experience. You dont pay 18% extra gratuity(yes, automatically added in that area for every restaurant)for an okay restaurant.

So Bastille reminded me, I was in New Orleans years ago...sadly not during Mardi Gras... and I ate at this little spot several times over a 3 week period that had some of the best "not home cooking" home cooking I've ever had and it wasn't right on the river but near it and I can't for the life of me remember the name. They had beignets that almost melted in my mouth in the morning and I'm not gonna even get into the other food that was..well lets just say it was damn good.
Just to be optimistic there is definitely a different experience and quality of food when ordering tableside vs to go the portions are different and the time from where the food is prepared to when you eat is different with takekout it could be sitting longer and changes the flavor
I guarantee that turkey meat is giving you the refrigerator after taste vibes because most likely they need to put some baking soda in their refrigerator, to preserve the taste of foods.
The gourmet after taste is from the cold cuts in their walk in freezer/fridge not being properly wrapped properl so it absorbs the air & will taste “funny” y it can also be from constant thawing/ unthawing when they don’t sell a lot
