    Thanks for this info. The first 2o to 25 mins is what I am also noticing as far as being focus is concern. Will apply this to my movement retraining.

      @@rehabhqofficial That is awesome to hear. My instructor, here in Portugal, is incredible. We use balls to sit on and the wall units. No table equipment. She really thinks about what my needs are and tailors each session accordingly!
      Thanks for your channel and all you do!

    My son was not spastic on his right arm/hand when he had the stroke and in the hospital for two weeks. He was then moved to a rehabilitation hospital during COVID where he got real spastic. Can they be held liable for not exercising his right arm and hand. His hand developed what they call swan syndrome. When we would call to check up on him I would tell them to exercise and massage him since I was able to do that at the hospital for him. He spent a total of 3.5 months between hospital and rehabilitation hospital before he came home all spastic from the rehabilitation hospital.

    Had a mid level glioma removed in august 2021 which caused left sided weakness in my arm and leg. Since then I would do ot & pt 3-4x a week. Walking has been improving but my arm still tends to bend and close up when walking.

    Thank you. Ive read that endurance/aerobics to stim bdnf and promote neuroplasticity should be prior to functional/movement retraining exercises. Is that premise being debated now? Thanks! 😊

      @rehabhqofficial  Před rokem +2

      Yes Liz! I have read some of that literature. But there is also literature that demonstrates memory consolidation after aearobic training. This is why I state in the video I am still divided. But, yes, I am aware of some of that literature about aerobic exercise and BDNF. Still parsing through all the literature on BDNF :)
