    I’ve just been diagnosed with fnd and I don’t believe it. My bloodwork constantly shows that I’ve got an infection or am fighting off an illness, I have rashes all over my body, I’m allergic to so many foods and so many other things. I believe that a lot of my symptoms line up but this honestly sounds like a load of bs.

    I've just got released from my third inpatient rehabilitation, and my declining isn't stopping they've put down in the recommendation to follow PT and OT in local clinics..I've lost hope completely..I've tried many times and the last one is a university hospital with great resources...I've lost hope at this rate I'll be barely functional in 2 years 😢

    This was one of the first things I worked on when finally getting home from the hospital. I was able to get up and walk home even after breaking my ankle. Knowing you can get up builds a certain confidence when out and about or even at home.

    My foot drops because I have no ankle and toe movement. My therapist said I have activation in the toes and need to stretch more due to the tightness and spasticity. I think I may need E stem, to help the connection in the brain. I will talk to my therapist about that. The foot is so far away from the brain and it's harder to connect.

      I had the similar thing just a little toe movement no ankle movement. I started using the scratch bands, putting around the top of my toes and using it as a gas paddle motion I would say and I got great movement try that out don’t give up.

      Don’t give up man right when you think it’s over it’ll turn around it. Focus more try to eat right and get plenty of rest.

    I have abnormal red blood cells, so I’m thinking something to do with hypoxia 😢 NHS GP doesn’t tells a lot… whenever I exercised = next morning I wake up with whole body inflammation 😢. Thank you so much x

    I tried one of these early in my recovery when I had very little active movement. Kind of pointless back then, but I'm looking into them again. My major hurdle is opening my hand past that "sticking point" after clenching.

    Nope! Definitely NO! First of all, you are ignoring the fact that you are... what? 40 kilos? How do you do that at 130 kilos? Most of the old people I know at the age of over 60 are over 100 kilos. Second of all: how do you do all that after a stroke when only one hand is functional? I follow your advices, and yet, my left arm would support me, no matter how much I practice. I'm sorry, but as much as I agree with you in general, I don't agree with you at all this time.

    Thanks so much for this video. I usually can get to the downward dog position and try to walk my hands back. But, that's where I usually get stuck. I have MS and no telling which or if either leg will fully cooperate. Falling in the open with nothing to help me up remains my greatest fear and challenge. I'm going to try out your tips. Fear makes me angry 😡 enough to try until I overcome. Thanks!

    It's hard for me to go down to the floor, to get on my knees, tone/spasticity makes it hard. My leg goes off to the side instead of straight back. I have to use my unaffected hand to pull it over, to make it straight. It's even harder to get up, because my foot slides forward. In the beginning I couldn't do this at all. I still have no ankle and toe movement, so it's hard to control the bottom part of my leg. If I ever fall, I will be in big trouble because my left arm has paralysis. I have no real support to brace for impact. My brain is also very protective, it tends to let me know if it feels danger, it forces me to grab on to something. I don't know if others can relate to this or not?

      I can relate totally. I have 3 mobile phones in my studio, two in different parts of it and one permanently on me. The moment I fall, I call a friend who has the key to the door, then we call the firefighters. I don't even attempt to stand up on my own, as I know that I would only injure myself even more.

    Excited to report that at 3 yrs out from cva ihita walking speed (with cane) of 3 mph. When I left inpatient docs were skeptical about recovery potential "don't expect much" and VA cut off therapy at 12 mos. I've stuck to my +attitude and daily low rigor but constant test of my limits and exercise to improve mindset, and I can walk 3mph now. Prior to stroke walked 4.5mph, I was a hustler. But 3 is good for now! Better every day, relax, breathe, relax completely, pour your mind and heart into your work, go for it! Do your best! Thank you doctor Tobias, you are a gem of great worth!     I have been working with a incredible neuro therapist for the past 2 years trying to get back to normal gait and ultimately running again, I always drop Tara tidbits during my therapy and I began to think you were talking to her because your videos always seem to be about the things I work on at therapy, I learned how to walk down stairs from you and your videos, I thank you for this channel
