Freddie recorded the first two verses on May 13. 1991. He said he would come back and finish the recording. He never came back. Brian didn't finish the song until 1995 when he, Roger and John decided to put together the final Queen album.

Yes this was their last video together but he begged them for lyrics so he could still record as much music with them before he was gone. The last thing he said to his manager was 👑 "You can do anything you like with my music, my image, my life, anything, but never make me boring" 👑

This is the second to last song the whole band made. Brian, John and Roger recorded a beautiful tribute song to Freddie called "No One But You". That was the last song John made with the others before retiring. You'll notice that Freddie doesn't move much, a good portion of one of his feet had already been destroyed by the horrible disease he was dealing with. Even though he had to be in terrible pain, he continued to do what he loved most, making music, almost until the day he died. He managed to do the first verse of a song "Mother Love" but was too weak to finish it, so Brian did the second verse so the song could be released.

It was the last video they made with Freddie on camera.
The last song Freddie recorded vocals for was “Mother Love” …
Freddie recorded the first two verses and the bridge, then said “I need to go home and rest, we’ll finish it when I come back into the studio”… and he never came back, being too weakened to record, and died just a few months later.
When the surviving band mates went to work on the album Made In Heaven, using vocals that Freddie had left behind in those final sessions…Brian sang the last verse of “Mother Love” to complete the song. 😭
If you react to that song , please use the *lyric* video (not the awful student project “action” video)
    - just listen -
The moment that Brian’s voice comes in to sing the last verse is heartbreaking, because we know Freddie was gone from this world.

That I think was the last video he did before he passed from complications of AIDS....but think he had come to grips with it and accepted it by this time. When he passed dozens of artists got together for a tribute concert to raise money for his foundation for research against AIDS...they raised quite a bit...and you had artists from every genre and every fold of music coming to sing a Queen song for him and the crowd....I watched it on TV and when I saw Elton John and Axle come on together almost fell out of my seat...but quite a few artists of the time...highly recommend George Michael Somebody to Love...and Seal "who wants to live forever" both gave me chills

While this was the last video they made together, the band did continue to record more music despite Freddie’s illness.
In mid-1991, they worked on material that would be released four years later for the album Made in Heaven. During those recording sessions, Freddie put down his vocals for each song. He did it because he knew he didn’t have much time. Best example is a song called Mother Love; he never finished his vocals for that song.

  • @TheMarrification
    @TheMarrification Před rokem

It was filmed only 6 months before Freddie died. It was at this time that he recorded his last ever vocals as well - for the song Mother Love. In which Freddie never made it back to the studio to sing the last verse, he was too ill and had to leave partway through, leaving Brian to finish the song off after Freddie died. Freddie knew too well he was dying. When recording, he recorded his singing to a simple drum machine as he said "I can't wait for the guys to do the music for it. They'll finish it off afterwards". Meaning after he died.
With Mother Love, that moment is absolutely heart-breaking; after the bridge of the song when the last verse starts and you hear Brian singing instead. You know Freddie has just died.

Not the last song but last video...he sang pretty almost up to his death...in this video he is so emaciated and notice he does not move ,,,he could barely walk but he was very animated with his arms, doing his best...he is wearing a ton of makeup to hide his cancerous sores all over his face and body...When they did the video for their 2nd last video...the guys were shown as animated art because he did not want his fans to see him so thin and ill. But then he decided "I don't want to be remembered as an F-ing cartoon" so he decided to show himself in his last video and say goodbye to his beloved fans...he never complained about the pain or his tragic faith...he was so courageous....This video was supposed to be in colour but no amount of makeup could hide his sores...react to the making of this video it;s very short... the good news is there are many more songs to react to

Actually, the video before this was I’M GOING SLIGHTLY MAD. Freddie didn’t want to be remembered as a “Clown” because that’s how he dressed and the song was done in a humerous way. He made this video and wore a lovely special vest with all his beloved cats on it. It was gifted to him by a friend and he loved it!! He also wore many layers of clothes because he couldn’t get warm.

This was NOT the last song they recorded... It is the last video featuring the entire band though (Brian was edited in because he couldn't be at the shoot with the other 3) There's a whole album that came after this one (Made in heaven), after Freddie had already died. The last song Freddie recorded for was Mother Love. He didn't finish it, that's why Brian sings the last verse. There's an AI version of it on CZcams somewhere where Freddie sings the whole thing.

  • @christineirving4491pluviophile

Not the last song they made, but certainly the last video in which Freddie appeared. As for the last song the band recorded with Freddie, that would be 'Mother Love', a song that Freddie began but part of the way through didn't feel so good, said to call it a day and he'd finish it later, he never returned to the studio. The final verse was recorded by Brian after Freddie's death, and the moment Bri's voice begins is heart wrenching and we know that Freddie is gone.

This is NOT the last song that Freddie recorded with Queen. The final song that Freddie recorded was "Mother Love" and, sadly, he was too ill to finish recording the last verse of the song. Brian eventually sang the last verse so that it could be included on the "Made In Heaven album.
This is Freddie’s final music video appearance. The band felt he was very brave to do this video given the state of his health but Freddie was adamant. He wanted to say goodbye to his fans. He spent hours in make-up to cover the ravages of his disease, a necessary cosmetic effort due to his increasingly gaunt appearance and skin problems due to his Kaposi's sarcoma, a complication of AIDS. The video also has a filter over it, to help the optics of his appearance plus it was released in black and white (color is so much more unforgiving of flaws).
"These Are The Days Of Our Lives" was written by Roger and was recorded for Queen's Innuendo album. In the recording studio, Freddie nailed the vocals to this song on the first take, which is not a stretch, given the song so comfortably fits into his range. What is even more astonishing is that on the more challenging vocal efforts for the same album such as, “The Show Must Go On", Freddie still performed as the seasoned singer, able to produce his vocals to sound so effortless, even as his body fails.
“These Are the Days of Our Lives”, was chosen as a single release, and became more poignant on video, as a final “goodbye”. Given Freddie’s approach in his performance, and his truly authentic, and final, “I still love you”, the video is even more emotional than the song itself. At this stage of his life, Freddie couldn’t stand up alone and they had to construct a stand so he could be propped up as he sang. (Notice that he never moves his feet as he typically did when he sang.)
The song has a wistful tone, extolling the virtues of living in the moment, given that’s all we ever “have”, and to perhaps enjoy it before it’s gone, without regret.
BTW - The vest Freddie is wearing was very special. Freddie loved cats. The vest is hand-painted with pictures of his cats painted on it.
He shared his home with a total of 10 cats throughout the years: Tom, Jerry, Tiffany, Dorothy, Delilah, Goliath, Lily, Miko, Oscar, and Romeo. These cats were Freddie’s family,. When he was on the road traveling,, he called home so the caretakers could put the cats on the phone. He wanted them to hear his voice so they would remember him. He would even fill the cats’ stockings with presents every Christmas.
He also wrote a song about his favorite cat, Delilah. The song is called...wait for it...Delilah.
