Man... I'm 35 and played this for my Dad and Mom while playing cards together as a Family and seen the Love in there eyes that made it possible for me to be. God bless Truth and Soul #EAST_LA_CHICANOS
walked into a cd store on the weekend and Lee Fields was playing. Never heard him before. Assumed it was a record from 1971. Totally blown away. Big fan now
Go and see him live if you can. I went to see him here in Ireland and will be again soon. He's an incredible singer and a master of stagecraft. The band are top-notch! One of the best gigs I've ever had the privilege to be at.
If you like him and don't know who Charles Bradley is check him out as well. If you get a chance to see him live jump at it. It's one of the more genuine performances you will ever see.
WOW! I have the same story with discovering Lady Wray who is currently signed to the same label!!!! Big Crown knows what their doing with this 70s soul sound!!!!!
This was playing on the mix at a brewery and I asked the guy who this was. We hit Shazam and held our phones up to the speaker. What a great artist! I'm already spreading the word about Mr Fields...
Lee Fields - originally from North Carolina, he has performed with the greats of the genre: Kool & The Gang, BB King; Clarence Carter, Sammy Gordon, Darrell Banks and many others. Lee Fields has had a recording career that spans 40 years, he is 73 years old and is still active playing most of the world. Thank You @Big Crown Records for uploading this Album. 2024 is really starting off to be a great year!
Im here because of martin solveig - im a good man. i swear i thought the vocals was from James Brown. so i did a research and turned out to be Lee Fields. and now im a fan of his music.
A suivre ! 👍
Boarf... faut attendre la moitié de la galette pour LE morceau qui remue, entouré d'une série interminable de slow, dont l'originalité ne m'apparait pas évidente. j'suis déçu.

Raw, rusty, refined, and rare these days. This is an artist whose music I can identify with.
A big thank you to the musician and Engineers that got those luscious bass tones.

J'te conseille l'album "Soul Power " de Curtis Harding, si tu connais pas déjà
Non, plus rock que soul, je ne connaissais pas. merci du conseil. C'est beaucoup plus ma tasse de thé. ;)
