Dances in general were just stupidly strong in that game. Rng be damned, if you're fighting a bunch of enemies at once, up until the second half, no one has resistances. 2 tried to minigate this but admittedly I found it kinda overkill
Fighting a bunch of enemies is one thing, but Holy Dancing on a poor boss who no longer has their minion defense bonus is a different level of satisfying.

Can confirm: The dance skills were stupidly broken when applied to mc along with buff adds. Even in desu2 the dances made most if not all bosses and enemies your personal punching bag.

@@banalsandwitch4002 Make a magic build for your MC (since magic is REALLY broken in Overclocked), and do Atsuro's route first since it's the easiest in my opinion.
I literally quit after the beetle Bel Boss, not because of how hard the game was, but because how the story route kept me pulled all over the place...
That game fuck my indecisive ass up bruh...

Forget Dance moves, Multi-strike is the true cheater. You seriously expect me to believe the guy with 14 Agility gets 7 critical hits every single time while my 20 Agility gets 2 normal hits every time?

It's pretty telling that even me, a SMT baby noob at the time, could tell that move was OP immediately and slapped it on the MC for the entire game. I think Energy Drain was busted too? Man what a great combo lol
Drain is definitely busted in DeSu. It works as a replenishing move that costs 1 mp, and immediately castrates an enemy that doesn't have nigh infinite mp (basically bosses).
The go-to combo for noobs set:
Holy Dance
Drain
Megidolaon/other element-dance
Drain basically made it where you could nearly empty mp from using dances, drain an enemy/boss and get back next to all that used up mp to Molly wop em next turn.
The only reason I got the skill originally through my 300+ hours between the first one and the second/record breaker was because of this very thing. I realized "damn, ain't much that can resist almighty and the single target damage is immaculate." Used it every playthrough since
GIRL, I BEEN HAD THAT. IT HAD HOLY IN IT AND I CLOCKED THE RESISTANCES. THE WORD ON THE STREET IS, IS THAT HOLY DANCE IS THE WORD ON THE STREET, HUNTY.
When in doubt in megami tensei: Almighty skills will bring home the bacon and cook that shit up in a frying pan for ya

I love Holy Dance. Made my first playthrough much less frustrating than it could have been. (By the way I did Amane’s route and am currently doing Naoya’s)
Just finished my 11th playthrough of Devil Survivor (no I am not kidding) and I gotta say: this is the single most accurate thing I've ever seen. Only thing that'd make it better is if you included a Dual Shadow proc.

@@sandorrclegane2307 Nope, still having fun with it. These days I mostly do challenge runs, like "beat the game with only Pixies for demons" or "Don't use skills" or "Beat Lucifer without dying a little on the inside"
That last one is easily the hardest.

here's something, I wanted to make a SMT V video with Anzu.
I was supposed to go twitch and look for anzu reactions and dread, but I got lazy.
storyboard was like this:
Why are you running, Oh no no no no, Encounter into instant death, Some twitch reactions (good luck if you want them), Anzu just ending your life etc...
