He should learn on FWD before moving onto AWD or RWD. Also when first starting braking power required is not intuitive because you don't get the feedback you would when in an actual car. AC Career Mode is great for getting started at 80% difficulty.

Asetto Corsa is easy as fuck for a racing sim like if you cant drive in AC even with a Wheel you unironically need to get tested you aint normal anymore.
My grandma can drive just fine in that game. Maybe because she has a driver license and learned to drive real cars and not Teslas like the manchilds today.
