- I finally fulfilled my childhood dream of creating my own underwater paradise! We need your help to name the red one, so put it down in the comments and we will choose the best one :)

awesome video dude. some tips for someone who has kept aquariums all their life - find the balance. light/nutrients/co2. 8 hours on for light on a timer, 16 off. dont listen to other people about your beta, they can do fine with other fish (depends how much room they have though, they can be aggressive with little room in their swim!) and just keep on top of water changes :) most importantly, leave it alone! you shouldnt make any changes to your aquarium once setting it how you want it for 6 months. (trim plants obviously!) just let nature take its course. if you have issues, its because you are unbalanced somewhere. readjust, and have patience my friend!

The biggest task is keep the water parameters consistent and safe , water clarity doesn’t matter aslong as the water readings are good , keep on top of cleaning your filter and you’ll have a hobby for life , I started keeping fish after getting back into fishing 5 years ago now I have a pond nothing massive 6ft by 6ft by 5ft deep but it’s solely because I can keep more fish 🤣🤣 good luck finding space for a pond in coming future 😅🤣 absolutely love the videos and how you film over a longer period of time rather then a day or two it makes it feel more professional and more like a tv show 👍🏽👍🏽 looking forward to seeing a update and your plans for fish keeping 😉

You'll end up getting bigger and bigger tanks!! I started small and now have a tank about 500 litres!!

You need a timer on your lights, I had the same issue with algae in my tank. Also turning the lights off helps, one day off one day on.
You gotta find the right balance for your tank.
Otocinclus catfish are the best tank cleaners for a small tank.

i added one of them red fish but mine was orange and it started to attack my other fish long story short ''he got flushed no i ended up making a floating fry net then in the morning i went and bought a small tank just for him and he's now 6 years old and out lived the original fish he fought with

betta will kill other fish and will eat all shrimp
The betta has been super chilled and hasn’t killed or eaten any of the other species in the tank :)
