- Here I cover the basics you need to know to complete the new dungeon, The Imperial Citadel! This covers the 1st boss the Monstrous Menagerie, the 2nd boss the Zodar and then the final boss Emperor Xeleth himself! There is a lot to learn in order for you to succeed, so this should help a lot in how to understand what is going on!
This is based on the Master version, but the mechanics should be very similar in the easier versions, just a lot less punishing, so you can probably ignore a lot more things.

Killing the scorpion early in the first boss enrages the thoon hulk, makes it hit for like 4 million per basic swing, so its basically a team wipe when that happens, its not guaranteed but it will be extremely difficult to not die

Starting tomorrow will be week 2 on the campaign for me and will be able to unlock the dungeon, so hopefully I will be able to do a few runs using this guide. Thanks for the video.

@Aragon at the 19:30 mark, I don't think you guys are explaining how the actual mechanics work. The reds coming from the middle crystal are charging the outside crystals to show that those crystals are the ones that are about to light up and blow up a few seconds after so you can know very easily what parts of the map are gonna be safe
Agreed. This is a helpful guide but still incomplete because it was rushed to be published quickly for the views...
It should be updated with complete, correct explanations.
That polarity mechanic has been broken since the release of Spelljammer....anyone that has done Lair of the Mad Mage should know what I mean.
When Trobiand triggers that mechanic and you and another person are tethered with opposite polarities, it doesn't matter how far you are away from eachother as you both will still explode as if you had collided and take debuffs when the mechanic resolves. The number of times I've stood a football field away from my tether partner only for the game to smack us with damage downs and a vulnerability, saying we failed because of a bug....then I get oneshotted by the unavoidable raid-wide caused by destroying the towers...yeah it broken.
yup, that was the reason they disabled the debuff effecting you, cause they didn't fix the original issue yet
Fix the servers, then u can easily complete!😅 the lags we are experiencing on ps5 are ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, we complete all the time but it’s just not fun really.
same for PC if you play at peak times

On ps5. The green crystal kills you if you dont move and the purple crystal kills you if you do move... its totally backwards lol. Almost like a troll by the devs you have to do the opposite on what its telling you. Ive seen 4 clones come out. So the whole arena is red! So getting a deathless run is completely rng lol

Since the hr have a bunch of bugged powers now, it seems that a wardens powers would be too slow to be effective againt boss 2 and 3

@@Aragon- Thank you sir. Tired of my mage. Going to run my rogue now. I used to love fighter dps but w that vengeance management bs. They took the fun out as well as my strafing ability w my heavy slash 😡. Fighter dps was fine. It just needed a bit more ap Gen. Ty for response.
It seems like the safe tile during the triple mirror mechanic rotate clockwise dased on the top down footage you've shown.
it is pretty random
I have had like:
- far > right > door > right > far > right > repeat
but also
left > door > left > far > right > far >
This dungeon is fun, but the lag and the delays are killing the experience for me. Hopefully they fix it
Just released something about the Astral Font....technically it shouldn't be able to damage you....but it stunning you causing an insta-death and a death you can't even scroll from by standing in it too long or entering it too many times makes perfect sense.
In the tabletop, The Astral Font is described as, "A 40-foot-diameter, 2-foot-deep pool of glowing pale liquid ged by a 10-foot-diameter beam of harmless blue light which streams down from an aperture in the ceiling 175 feet above."
However, any creature that starts it's turn in the beam of light from the Font is magically teleported to the radiant core of Xaryxis and takes a bunch of Radiant Damage....in other words, you get thrown into a sun and die.

Do everyone use Owlbear Figurine there? No Dragonfire?
Cause Dragonfire is useless, and somecalled "bonus damage on bosses", that you saw on some videos, working only on Chult dummy.
Dragonfire is great damage, just not as good burst as the owlbear
I bought the owlbear, but can’t stand its slow animation! 😂

Last night I noticed that one of the illusions that he summons takes less damage than the others when you attack him, didn't get to test the theory a lot but I think by finding the one that takes less damage you can get the cone attacks to stop and all illusions de spawn like first boss in dwp not sure if this was a fluke as we only tried a couple times that run. Also that was on advanced not master
What kind of mobs are in this dungeon? Can some boons be useful?

I'm actually really interested in this as an advanced and master dungeon. Idk what posessed the dumbasses to stuff it in as a random dungeon q tho. Had a couple so far and been chaos on 1st boss despite a couple knowing the snake mechs(including myself). But from a premade groups perspective it looks fun as fuck.
do you know what to do to avoid getting all clones is it from lack of dps or is there another reason
you cannot avoid all. It is timer based

Just completed this dungeon in its RDQ version for the first time. Was quite funny, but Xeleth seems just awful on advanced and Master version xD

My main character is a wizard. Why would you ASSUME that I am anti wizard. I am not. Nothing in what I said is anti wizard. You have it backwards and upside down. What is sad is sooo many other dps classes, if not all of them, have been made either meaningless or irrelevant for content like this. For a new player, if they want to do dps, the only viable, valuable option is to make a wizard. They have utility and do high dps. No other dps class has that combination to even near the same level as wizard. Plus the dev's will do whatever it takes to keep wizards as an elite class in this game.
Just know, the Devs do not have favouritism with the classes! They do their best to balance them. Most of the time they are just not aware of things.
Again, you do not need a wizard to do this dungeon just fine. There are other ways.
My god the devs never test anything this dungeon full of bug and glitches how many testers they have one people have all the items from glitching the killed the dungeon in the first week very 😭😢

Trying to hit the boss from around a constantly moving scorpion is horrible. As the wizard keeping CC on the snake moving back and forth just cant get the targeting very fast. Shitty design.
How exhausting. Its like theyre aiming to make literally EVERYONE that isnt a min/max player walk away from this game. I've been teetering on the edge and this level of annoyance with constantly running around during bosses combined with forcing us to bind our enchants to max them..... so many reasons to drop NW like a bad habit.
wtf is with all the mechanics? absolutely disliked moondancer and this looks more of the same, not to mention the flooding of too much gear etc etc ... hopeful new owners will change this in upcoming mods ...
moondancer had like no mechanics, makes it so boring for master content. This is much better.

You're views make no sense at all this game started dying off after barovia ban wave even worse after combat rework its a 10 year old game with less than 500 players a week on ps5 and even less on xbox and steam data bade shows super low player base but youre numbers per view would mean every single player in entire game across all platforms watch you which is false . if this is a stunt buying views to try and impress deca games in germany it wont work they are aware of full player base numbers and would also see issue with you're strange view count and deca games only work with deca games no youtubers as cryptic have in past . stop buying views from you know where and keep it real everyone knows all you do is make preview builds that dont effect you're wallet and try sell stuff for cryptic so no body of value watch any of this keep it real or keep it up until deca take over no matter youre inside knowlage is ending this year all hale deca games germany
You do know neverwinter is ranked 34 out of 140 mmos right with 3 million players so far 2024-04-02 had 28,000 players online
Protectors on PlayStation usually has 20 instances full of 20 players with the same number in the new campaign zone
Then you got whoever is inside dungeons or the new dungeon at that time lol so that’s like my friends like always active with 100 players online and I still see tons of new people I never met or see new players leveling up
Man... your hate to the game/devs blinded your eyes so much. Even on steam there is around 1300 online player peak (it means a total amount of player on just steam is at least 3+ times more, because people live in different time zones, play at different times, etc). In addition, you can play on PC with just Arc launcher, and i think a good amount of players use it (i switched from steam myself, to login to my alt account, you can't do that on steam).
And in addition to all that you have consoles, and judging by all info i know there is even more players compared to PC (i heard that on consoles you dont really have much other MMOs so Neverwinter wins in terms of that)
On the last stream with exec. produccer of the game, in chat the community manager said that steam player base is just a small partion of all players, and well, you may say they just lying but by all info i know i can trust them actually. And yes, you can also look at Aragon views and confirm that additionally :)
So seems like online of the game is atleast around 2.5k players, and i can easily guess that there is more than 10k active players that login in a game at least few times a week. And well, you can have players that not playing right now (maybe just because they are busy) but still being interested in new content and stuff. So its not that suprising to see around 5k views there
Prolly the worst dungeon in the game :D, not becouse its hard or something , its just simply non enjoyable at all ,anyway good guide as always keep it up !

@@Aragon- ye well thats ur opinion and i appreciate that , but i just dont like wildspace at all and yeah mdwp i also dont like but somehow looks better. Cant wait for new mod when regular zones will rise up again , i find out that are way better designed , here esp in doomspace a lot of buggs
I dont really like the theme of space in Neverwinter either, but i think this dungeon is the best what come out of it honestly
