It sounded like he kept making up excuses for the car. I can describe it for all of us: disappointing. Exterior looks meh, added bits look tacky and out of place, that from grill has to go I wonder if you can choose the previous grill which would be more fitting for this car, the interior is the same and it looks awful for an Aston. The old Vantage was a beautiful car…

Oddly, he seems to have missed that this generation of Vantage and DB11 were both designed to take either engine from the outset. The only things left to chance were whether there'd be a manual gearbox in the mix somewhere...and if Benz was going to find any use for the V12 in any non-Aston products.

Loved the opening of the video with Henry doing what he loves to do, apart from cycling. Like always the video was very well shot and presented. Its elevates the car to another level.
The end though when Henry says the future is gonna be silent and the volume is cut off, it gave me goosebumps. The feeling of watching a car without the desired sound is just not digestible. Thankfully the ending with the cars start up sound was a great way to end. My ears thank you.

You may not like the interior, but it's still a better place to sit than the current trend of designers insisting on burning out the driver's retinas with ever-larger iPad-style displays. I hate them with bile and venom usually reserved for gastro pubs that don't use plates and politicians. The interior of a car should feel like a special safe haven and not a cold open plan office in Slough, infested with roll-neck sweaters. I can remember driving the prototype V12 Vantage of old and have fond memories of just how bonkers it could be.

I think this is one of the best car video I have ever seen in quite a long time. Carfection always has the top class cinematography among all the car medias. But God above, Henry is a great story teller. I think partly that's because Henry has a rather calm but special voice that can make me calm down and focus on the film, which I think he is currently the very best at this range among all the car journalist. I don't know if anyone remember that back in 2009, in the end of the TopGear Season 13, actually the Episode 7, Jeremy Clarkson had a rather special review to a silver V12 Vantage, which was the lastest model in 2009. Unlike usual in that 4 mins film he didn't speak quite a lot, but just let the audience listen to the sound of that glorious 6.0L NA V12 engine with the despair BGM from the movie "28 Days Later", and remind us that big litre NA V12's are dying. Now, after a decade and a bit more, this journey has finally come to an end. And unquestionably both Carfection and Henry, also the AstonMartin has done an incredible job, and what a way it is to give the Aston V12s such a Grand Finale. -----Genuinely RESPECT from 17yrs old student.

Every time I click on a Carfection video I hope Henry is doing the review. Amazing car and countryside as usual.

The intro reminded me of that Family Guy cutaway: "Running, throwing, lifting big things. Teslik! That's alright with me man!"

Henry and Carlos Lago are the only automotive journalists that I will watch. You can sense their passion for cars and connect with the audience perfectly.

As always, perfect review. First thing I did after waking up this morning! Can’t help but think that V12 sounds a bit… flat. Definitely get this without the wing. I can’t help but not think this car is as special as previous iterations, as I think really this is more of a GT12 than a V12 Vantage.

@@darkchild130 not the filters but the turbo’s are ruining the sound. Ferraris have filters as well and still sound mega because they are NA.
