Adventists just assumed the day of the Sabbath for Christians is Saturday. They forgot to differentiate between the Judaist Jews and the Christians.

As a former 7, I agree that Jesus Christ is my rest.
When talking to my family and friends who are still in the cult, I often ask them What does going to corporate worship have to do with their idea of "keeping the sabbath"?
This question has gotten us further in conversation on the topic. Praise God.
Also mentioning to them that I love the weekly sabbath in the sense of, taking a day off to enjoy with my family and not requiring my employees to work more than six days a week, has also made them pause and think. Again furthering the conversation.
Showing them Hebrews, Romans, and Colossians is certainly been key. Watching them wrestle with the Holy Spirit over new believers not judging and mature believers not condemning has been fruitful. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for all that you guys are doing.

One thing I wasn't aware of is just how well the SDA's view of satan fits with the talmudic belief that Satan can be a scape goat for sins.
The Mormons and the SDA are just a short step away from agreeing with the Noahhide laws in so many ways.
Excellent response to the false SDA doctrines. I grew up SDA and left as a teen and young adult. Then came to Christ in my 30s. I tried to go back to the SDA church but my spirit was grieved and confused. I called out to God and said if this is false please reveal it to me because I will follow you and only YOU Jesus…. Not religion or friends or all my family but Jesus only. It was my humility before God that I believe released me from the bondage of false doctrines of SDA. After this prayer, I began reading EGW and seeing the contradictions and then Holy Spirit revealed the blasphemy they teach against Jesus finished work on the cross through the investigative judgement false doctrine. I was brought to tears when God gave me this revelation. All glory to God for guiding me into truth and wisdom and guiding me out of false religion. 😭 🙏🏼
Praise be to God. May He continue to guide you to the true Church and may Our Lady prevent you from falling into heresy. I recommend looking into what the early Christians, who were disciples of the apostles and spent time learning the faith directly from them, such as St.Ignatius who was a student of St.John the Apostle and theologian. He was a bishop in the early church and martyred in 107 AD. On his way to Rome he wrote epistles to several churches that can shed light on how those who were literally trained by the Apostles understood Christianity. Its some of the earliest Christian writing outside of the Bible and every Christian should read them in my opinion. Since you were a SDA you know scripture can be twisted to make it say whatever someone wants. There is no plain reading of a 2000 year old book written in an ancient language no one speaks anymore. This is why it is important to look to some of the great Christians of the early Church to understand how scripture should be interpreted. May God bless you and continue to help you find the truth we are all looking for.

I come from Scotland and at 73 years young.
Since listening to Sam’s debates that I love, in all my years I have never heard of so much of, what I call New Christian doctrines etc. Is this just an American New money making doctrine’s like you see these Pastors on the TV asking for Money to join there church. I think we should only have one Christian teachings that of the Bible, once man starts to put his or her interpretation we will destroy the Christian faith. Where is the best place to do this watch how the Ethiopia Christian and the Oldest Christian Church in the world Orthodox. I do not differentiate between the Eastern & Greek Orthodox, for all three simply keep to the teaching of Christ.

Hi, well done guys, as I have always stated. To fully understand what is being said in the Bible, you have to read the whole chapter, & NOT just a verse or two. That's why so many followers of other faiths like SDA, Islam, etc, try using JUST the verses as examples, then twist them to fit their own perspective & narratives...Amen

He spoke of the "universal church". That is what "Catholic" means in the creed.
The word "Catholic" in the creed is empathically not referring to the "Roman Catholic Church", although some Roman Catholic Church members mistakenly think it does.
