Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I am really excited to upgrade my Squire P bass, I was just reluctant because I didn't want to have to drill.
Yes. Thank for in info. I like how the video shows a detailed comparison of the old and new bridges. I can see the screw holes match. I suppose this saves drilling new holes!
Goodluck!
I think something to consider is your style of playing. This bridge may not be needed if your cheap stock bridge already works fine and you don’t need the extra upgrade. If however you like the look of it, that’s different
Sometimes seeing a video can increase confidence especially since a lot of guys have very little or no guitar maintenance skills. I agree it’s pointless but it’s pointless for experienced guitar repair guys. For a player who rarely touches a screw driver this is a good video
Letting us hear the sound difference between the old Squier bridge and that new shiny Gotoh would have been nice....

Thank you. Great video too. At 5:22, the grub screws are really protruding from the saddles. Do they interfere with you playing?
They don't interfere. Everything is just perfect. Thanks!
@@tixcustomsph thanks. Did you use the Gotoh screws? And did you find them to be the same specification as the Squier's?
Yes I used them a little different but still fit.
Is this also direct replacement (drop-in-replacement) for the stock bridge on Fender P-Bass Precision MIM?
Yes it is.
@@tixcustomsph Thank you!
@@ovidiuboureanu8565 you're welcome!
First to watch and comment again Sir Tix! :D
Thank you as always!
Essa ponte tem uma boa sustentação do som? Obrigado!
sim, de fato!
This is a good bridge even for an American P Bass.
Yes it is 👍

@@tixcustomsph salamat po sir ng marami
Magkano po sir mga ganyang bass guitar bridge? actually ganda talaga products ng gotoh na bridge! Ang galing
Not sure sa pricing sir pero mukang nasa more or less 3k. Thanks!
Tem que apertar muito os parafusos ?
Yes. Hand tight is enough.
Did this upgrade affect the tone in some way?
Yes it did and also the sustain.

@@ramencurry6672 brass saddles are why people switch to these. It gives a passive bass a db boost and it tames the low mids if you’re in to that.
Pwede kaya to sa jcraft na pbass?
Pwede sya sir basta same na 19mm strings spacing.
@@tixcustomsph thank you
Gotoh already stated this is a drop in replacement for Fender spec bass along with fully detailed drawing, so what’s the point ?
To tell those who don't know unlike you. That's the point.
@@tixcustomsph own that clown
