I've always been insecure about my underbite. I had braces and it fixed my bite so ig the problem's in my jaw. Gotta save money so that I can get surgery in the future.

I have a slight underbite I got it out of nowhere like at 17.
me too and i'm getting braces for it in 2 weeks. I have a very slight one though, not on all teeth
I got it at 17 too, even tho I wore braces until now but my doc told me I need surgery at ~21 cause it may grow back if I’d do the surgery now. Braces don’t work
mine is mild underbite ..I am so scared to get jaw surgery ..I guess for me it will be only braces they said 26 months to fix it

Hello doctor I also do have an underbite problem and I'm 15 I had braces but because of the covid 19, 2years I was without it now I visit doctor he says that my age is overcrossed the option only left is surgery I dont have that much severe underbite. (0.5mm lower jaw needed to cut) Help
I had braces and a pallet expander twice. My teeth are straight but my jaw continued to grow out slightly.
My teeth nearly hit right on top of each other and I have a slight cross bite. It’s about 2mm cross and underbite. It’s not bad enough that I could justify surgery, and I don’t believe breaking my pallet again is possible.
I wear my retainer constantly to avoid damaging my front teeth. Can this be fixed with Invisalign and rubber bands?

Every case is a little different than the last and without seeing you in person to determine it's hard to say. There are different options you can choose to help with your bite but it comes to a Dr to decide bands, extractions, or creating space with a file in between teeth to close more space on the bottom to help adjust the bite. hey, so the orthodontist said it's a high possibility for me to have jaw surgery for my underbite but they said if they remove some of the teeth and i get invisalign it would correct it too and it's a underbite.. but with the underbite i can force it to be aligned with my top teeth but my bottom doesent touch my top teeth like in the back and sides.. what do u think my best option is? if i smile and i want my teeth to be lined up against each other it's a pretty big underbite.
and they said i have to be 19 to get it due to growth spurt or something but do u think i need jaw surgery?

I have braces with an edge to edge/slight underbite bite right now. My western dental ortho put elastics on in the class 3 underbite configuration, however its been 4 weeks and I see ZERO change after wearing my elastics religiously every day. when should I expect to see any change?
Idk brother probably just need patience more...I got question,if I hve slight underbite and wear bracers to fix it,will my lower jaw also get more backwards???
