I was in class 10 (2015) and went to the first concert of my life at NLA (national library auditorium) knowing nothing about guitar.
I saw Poraho and Shahed vai played in a magical way. He was dancing, moving all around, making hella catchy melodies being a lefty. I was so moved on by this charismatic performance , I just rushed to see him in person to applaud him saying "vaiya apni onek cool, onek neche neche bajailen energetic vabe". He smiled , bowed a bit and greeted me with " Thank you, tumio cool audience " . That's the first and last memory I've build with him. He was influential in an indescribable way.
Rest in peace vai. I'll always remember you.

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Shahed sir was the one who taught me how to play guitar. I owe everything I can do and play now to him. Without him I couldn't have enjoyed my favourite hobby in the world, playing guitar. He was so influential to me, he also shaped my music taste today. He was undoubtedly one of the best teachers I've had in my life. He was always so kind and patient with me. He was my role model and I wanted to be as awesome and skilled as him one day. Devastating news...may he rest in peace. Will always miss you sir

I was one of the friends Shahed made through music along the way, we were working on transcribing a song together when he passed, just 4 days before he passed I told him I had to take a break from the work because of uni exams, it was the last time I talked to him. He is being mourned all the way in Portugal, may his memory live on through the music he made.
