Here's an idea for a discussion - Verity Lambert's comment that it's a dreadful thing "the Doctor knowing everything and always being right about everything". Or if that's just Verity's and my obsession, ignore me.
Absolutely agree - part of the joy of the Classic Series was the audience figuring things out as the Doctor does - now the Doctor arrives and after just 10 seconds, rattles off everything there is to know about the planet/aliens/etc. Much less fun.
@@gar535 Great someone agrees! For me, three particularly jarring examples are "It's the Mara"! "It's the Myrka!" "Vashna Nevada!" There were some Eighth Doctor novels where the Doctor lost his memory. If I were DW producer, I'd do that in the TV version!
@@noblerees1Sorry, I'm not sure. I wasn't around to get it... whether there was a notification or not. I didn't get to watch the earlier one either (I still need to find it so I can get caught up). My father is not well... and my mother asked me to come down for a visit and dinner. As much as I enjoy these live streams... family has to come first. I'll make an extra effort to attend the next one.
When Eccleston said about Gatwa being his favourite, he also referred to "a person like that" - Says all you need to know about how they actually see minorities. It's patronising chapagne socialist moralising. Which Eccleston will we have next week?

I’ll have to see if I can get you on one day
Oh darn... I missed this one too. 😧
At least you found it - no notification?

@@davidharding1299 All the best to your father, David.
@@gar535 Thank you.
Don’t worry David. Always family first. Hope he is ok. In the 7pm
I did use some of your comments for the panel to discuss
