- Extreme turbulent landing into Manchester Airport, England.
EasyJet A320 from Hamburg arriving into a wet and windy Manchester Airport in October 2018! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
looks like a very smooth landing despite conditions. Well done
Same as my landing in Skavsta today at 7:15 with a wizzair A320-200
There was pretty big wind and when the autopilot was deactivated the plane started to rock heavily but the landing was good I almost didn't feel it
And this landing shown in the video looked very similar to what I saw looking out the window
And literally no one clapped
The 🀄
We flew with easyJet a about a week ago back from Tenerife into Luton, 45mph crosswinds battered the aircraft on approach and we dropped about 120ft due to turbulence maybe half a mile from the airport. Landing was almost identical to this video, absolutely buttered the landing but just as we were above runway, the plane verged to the left like in this vide
I’m ex cabin crew for easyjet and loved working for them. I had to give up in the end as my ears were damaged, however this is not severe turbulence! This would be categorised as mild. It feels horrible for passengers admittedly, but trust me - when you experience severe turbulence, you know all about it!
If you ever fly over Japan or somewhere like that, that is turbulence, i was on a plane once, with turbulence for three hours, very unpleaseant
I was on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale (we originated in Baltimore.) We were delayed several times at BWI because of storms there in Baltimore and and Atlanta. Now ATL is their hub, so there were quite a few flights going to ATL that afternoon/evening, but the weather on the east coast that night delayed everything, so they were all sitting at the gates at the same time waiting to depart. So after speaking to the desk and going through all of the flights to ATL, I finally got them to put us a small Canadair regional jet to ATL that was about to taxi into line. After sitting on the runway in the tiny regional jet for about two and a half hours, we finally took off and got to ATL with no problem. Next we took off from ATL to Fort Lauderdale. We fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later and realized we had been circling around fort Lauderdale for hours because of storms. We were finally so low on fuel we had to land in the middle of a thunderstorm. That was the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. The plane was bouncing up and down dropping tens of feet at a time. Pitching hard to the right and left. Shaking. Stuff was flying everywhere in the cabin and was all over the floor. Lightning was striking all around us when we landed. It was terrifying. That's the only time I've ever been scared on a plane. And even though it wasn't like we were crashing or anything l, it was still considered an "emergency landing" because of the fuel situation and the active thunderstorm near the runways. So after being breifed over the PA, we had to do the whole "brace brace brace" thing when we were coming in. When we finally got to the runway The landing was quite smooth considering all of the weather we went through. Great pilots and crew on that flight 😁😁😁.
i don’t want to experience a severe turbulence
@@catchmeimfallingheadoverheelsyou will experience it one way or another whether you like it or not
Very few times have I been in a plane or seen a video of one where the landing has been so smooth you can't hear or barely feel the wheels touching the ground. Phenomenal piloting skills.
Well, the A320 kind of smoothens itself out in turbulence as much as it can.
That touch down was exceptionally smooth given that the plane rocked pretty good as it came into the airfield. Very well executed by the pilots.
This looks pretty standard! I've been flying 63 years and unfortunately, due to climate change, we are getting more and more turbulance.
@@jennybroad1763 Surely after 63 years of flying you'd realise that this is not standard
@@projectflightyoutubehi I live in Manchester and also project flight is amazing, Manchester always usually has hard landing conditions
@@projectflightyoutube, looks very normal to me.
@@jennybroad1763 Yeah I remember there was something in the news about 10 years ago warning that turbulence was only going to get worse in the years ahead due to climate change. As a frequent flyer I can attest to that LOL.
With my luck I'd be sitting next to someone who'd start screaming about the wing "breaking apart" when the speed brakes deployed. *"I CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH IT AAAAAAA!!!"*
Experienced more turbulence opening a bag of crisps.
i get more turbulence after EATING a bag of crisps . especially "cheese n onion"
@@Phil-db1dh thats Turdulence:)

HaHa ! nice one . why didnt i think of that ! 👍😁
a well done job to the pilot! thankfully another safe landing 👏👏
Light to moderate turbulence at best, looks like mechanical turbulence played a part right before touchdown, nice job by the Pilot flying.
I love these landings. Very fun, no joke.
Moderate turbulence. Seems a good wind component as well. Nice landing.
EasyJet is my favourite airline
Nice rollercoster,i felt it trough the screen.😎
that is a very impressive landing!
I love the guy talking normally in the background like it's no big deal LOL
Awesome Video
I'm always scared during take-off, but much more relaxed/hopeful during landing...
I'm the opposite don't know why
I'm the opposite
I'm not scared of anything on plane:/
Stunning capture! May I feature this landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. Cheers!
Good turbulent landing
That pilot is a King!!!
Very well done by the pilot landing
nice landing, it was a bumpy descent tho!!
I was on a flight from Dallas to Newark once and the turbulence was so bad flying in to New Jersey that I thought it was the end. There seemed no way the pilot would be able to land the plane the way it was rocking up and down, twisting left and right, and moving all over the sky, yet the landing was one of the smoothest I’ve ever experienced.
Bro planes are designed for turbulence, your still perfectly safe the plane is in full control the wings aren't going to fall off.
@@fallios ya, but it doesn’t feel that way when you’re bouncing all over the cabin like an ice 🧊 cube in a martini 🍸 shaker…
@@ryanblais6208 I agree...it always feels like Mother Nature will decide whether you will make it...not the pilot.
Good video. This is not a Ryanair pilot of course, it’s nature.
Masterfully done! Too bad we can’t see an exterior/incoming perspective of this from ground. Not saying this is a bad perspective though.
THE PILOT MUST BE AN EXPERT WINDSURFER IN HIS FREE TIME
Brilliant landing
Please change title to "normal landing into Manchester"
Lol, I came back in to Gatwick a few years ago early one morning and it was 10 times worse than that. I ve never seen so many passengers throwing up. It was so bad we had to abort the first landing.
No it was windy not extreme but there was turbulence
Very Nice video
An amazing turbulent landing
Nice 👌 flights ✈️ 👌
some of the most difficult airports to take off and land in are in and around the United Kingdom
Lots of fun!
Now when you say "EXTREME" do u mean really smooth????
That's scary. Good thing is you photographed my house. I don't need to spend money on an aerial photo now!!!
Had his/her hands full. Nicely done Captain.
how do you know it was the captain landing?
@@okkcomputerthe conditions, it’s to windy for the f/o to be landing in these conditions
Got caught in the lavatory during heavy turbulence. Why no grab bars in there?
Pilot def earned their keep
Was this your first flight?
...A GREAT LANDING .,.! ! ! THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE AIRCRAFT . THE PROBLEM IS A GOOD SKILLS OF THE PILOTS . . .
The clapping 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
😂😂😂 I'd clap too, given the conditions.
I actually prefer a turbulent approach and landing lol makes it more fun!
This is light, maybe borderline moderate turbulence. Severe turbulence it's when stuff starts flying around the cabin (those videos where people are injured) and extreme turbulence causes loss of control and may cause damage to the aircraft's structure.
You can just see the pilot let their hand off the wheel to let the aircraft drift onto the runway.
I like how overseas international or domestic flights especially in these circumstances, at the end when the planes land people clap. Where is in Australia flying a domestic airline I find nobody ever claps
most of the plane movements are the pilots adjusting the plane after the turbulence
What year did Airbus start using the newer blended winglets on A320's? I know they are standard issue on the Neo's, but I don't think this was a Neo model.
i think this is the neo
@@unexpectediteminbaggingare8074no it’s the ceo
ordinary smooth landing.
That's not extreme at all, actually was very smooth.
And right in the middle of the screen we see the words "EASY jet". Ha ha.
Why is that funny?
@@mstrmren Because that wasn't an "easy" landing. Do you "english" much???
@@aaronpangle2185 I just wanted to say that I think this joke is soooo unfunny
@@mstrmren then you should have said that, Skippy roflmao
@@aaronpangle2185 idiot easy is in there for easy pays and cheap
Cool 😎
1:28 👌👌👌 😂
when i went from asia to europe it felt like i was in a car there was literally no turbulence but when you hit severe turbulence you go THROUGH IT once i flew a very small plane for domestic and it was one ADVENTURE I TELL YA it was even worse than a roller coaster
What was so extreme?
There's more turbulence from my car with the window open......
Wow 👏
What's that smoke coming out of the wings at the end??
looks like rain bossman, no smoke
Me: waiting to hear the sound of touch down
* spoilers go up *
also me: wait what LOL??? btw nice skill from the pilot
I think it's important to note, that some of the rocking motion is caused by the pilot lining up the plane with the runway. You can tell how severe the turbulence is by how much the wingtip bends. In this video, it doesn't bend that much.
The airbus wing also doesn't flex as much as most aircraft. I flaperons are going in and out so it looked turbulent.
@@ScottOSaurus this airbus doesn’t have flaperons. That’s just the spoilers, the outer ones deploy when a certain amount of left or right stick input is produced.
semoga selamat sampai tujuan..
salam indonesia.🇮🇩🙏🙏
That Captain learned everything I taught him/
That's pretty bad for man
Try flying into Reno NV in the summertime. This is nothing.
That‘s EXTREME for sure…🤦♂️
Is that really extreme?
Ryanair: that’s not how you land a plane
Heheh it was not a turbulent landing =) that was very calm and people clapped as they arrived safe.
I would never have the nerves for such a job...
standard for manchester
how many people died?
Yo creo que esa turbulencia es provocada por otros aviones que acaban de aterrizar.
Not too fun when you see that easyJet logo. You'd want to give back that 35% you saved from Delta lmaooo
It was a very normal landing.
Extreme Turbulent where ?
we need like those in starwars
I don't hear anyone screaming with a "Woolyback accent" LOL!
I HATE FLYING. I try to avoid it as my as possible. The only advantage is you get there FAST!!!!!
You think the worst is over? Wait until you see the airport!
Turbulence where?
Lots of aerial potholes it seems. :(
haha
I can feel the shaking, up and down the airplane. Very terrifying
Why are people clapping? These pilots are trained to do this everyday. No one claps when I park my truck in the driveway nice and straight. LOL!
"Extreme turbulence" bends wing spars and buckles fuselage skin panels.
Ahí iban dominicanos
where is the extreme part looked ok to me
That's normal for Manchester.
skillful but risky
I would call that a rough landing by any stretch of the imagination
Heart sinking moments...Once I had such experience of 5-7 seconds of altitude loss....
Me too it’s horrible
This is not extreme cause every landing into Manchester is like this
It just Manchester. Every landing experiences a bump here and there. This was nothing out of the ordinary and looked fairly smooth
Just the same at Bristol
a little choppy on approach!
it’s just windy … extreme turbulence is when you fly through a hurricane
this turbulence is due to heavy air pressure of artic ocean 🌊!!!
Moderate at best. Extreme would prompt a go around. Severe would prompt a diversion. People perceive things in which they do not understand. Take someone used to driving 30 MPH and put them onto a freeway going 60/70. It'd feel like a rocket ship. For those who drive 70 it's nothing.
Extreme??
Bando de ze manes
The only thing grim about it is the scenery on touchdown
LOL if that was extreme then you must have been flying with a hundred and fifty Fonzies!!
Is this just a turbulence or is it the pilot shaking the yoke
Sidestick
Does this have anything to do with eggs
@@almostparadise123 bruh lmao

Turbulence had definitely delayed any flight that I will be taking in the near future. #FkThat
1:16 Wind shear ?
Kind of. I'm not saying it's necessarily the case in this video, but a feature of Manchester airport is the way the wind behaves if you're landing on runway 23R and the wind is from the west/northwest, it passes over the terminal and the multi-storey car parks and that churns it all up so as you descend through about 150 feet to about 50 feet you can get some sudden hefty turbulence from it, and then below about 50 feet or so you're kind of sheltered from it by the same buildings. It all happens quite quickly but the result is usually as you see here. It only happens in the conditions described though. I hope that's interesting to you! :D
