I like how his version of "no responsibility" is to get good grades in college, fix his relationships, live a healthier life, and pay rent
Sometimes, with great responsibility, comes great stress.

I've determined it is impossible to hate this scene.
There are lots of cool stuffs happened in The Dark Knight Trilogy but there is no emotional stakes, you don't really care about any characters.
But here in Spider-Man 2, it makes you care and feel.
Imposible
@@ashokkumarganesan3927 Yea Dark Knight Trilogy has an amazing plot, and very compelling characters. But it's just hard to relate to the characters at the end of the day.
To be honest, Batman in general is a bit hard to relate to. A kid who senselessly lost his parents in a horrible tragedy, goes on to inherit and become a billionaire who's one goal is to prevent events such as that from occurring ever again. Interesting premise, but barely anyone in real life can relate, definitely sympathize, but not relate.
jack mayor at least Spider-Man is a guy in high school who chooses to be a hero instead of with his girlfriend
Best scene ever
This scene alone is better than the whole MCU phase 4
😭😭😭😭
So true

Still better then MCU Phase 5 excluding Guardians 3
Shut the fuck up. Why does everyone try to make this a competition?? ''This is better than that', this scene alone...'' Just stop. Just enjoy the movies and don't put others down just because you don't like them.
As kids we didn't understand this scene and we wanted spider man to come back.
But as grown ups we eventually come to realise how much meaning is hidden within this scene. Peter looks the happiest as a normal boy, means a lot cause he sacrificed so much to save those around him as a superhero.
True, Spider-Man thrives Peter Parker suffers.
I don’t think there’s that much meaning
It’s not being spider-man=happy
Being Spiderman is a curse
I was a kid when I saw this in cinema and at school everyone had the same opinion, everyone’s least favourite was Spider-Man 2 due to him losing his powers. Now I’m older I completely get it as an adult and so does everyone else.
I believe I saw this in a drive in theater back in 2004. I was amazed by the movie then and I still am now. In my opinion this is in my top 5 best comic book movies of all time. The others in my top 5 are X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Batman, and Avengers: Infinity War.

Me as an adult: I love how Peter is so happy!
I even watch this is the eyes of adult when I was a kid cuz I was happy for Peter.
I was exteremly happy watching this scene as a 8 year old kid. The CD was broken and the same scene was repeated every time I started it. It sticks me even today how i felt watching this scene as 24 years old now. Sunshine, happines, all glory, the world was just fine while i'm watching spider-man...
Honestly even as a 9 year old kid, I was genuinely happy for Peter, and it was much needed breath of fresh air from the soul crushing circumstances Peter was going through

The most underrated comment. So relatable to so many people. XD
So true hahaha

I honestly prefer a dorky Spiderman over an overly charismatic one. He's just so much more down to Earth and relatable.
That was what he was always meant to be
Shmoopy yea and he has real problems and can’t get bailed out by iron man every time. A lot of us probably were losers in high school and we eventually accepted it.
That's actually his character, he's a nerd.
100% agree. Thats why I loved this Spiderman. I was basically Peter Parker in real life so every time he embarrassed himself it was very relatable. The greatest Spiderman in my opinion.
Peter Parker can be a charismatic dork. It's just that Marvel has little to no clue on how to conclude Peter Parker's life.
It’s so interesting to me how scenes like this are what make this trilogy standout. Peter doing something as simple as being a normal person and trying to get his life together is so damn appealing.
The action scenes are amazing but something about Peter Parker just doing ordinary things makes it extraordinary. Scenes like this have the most heart and are so memorable. It’s a shame we don’t see something like this much in superhero films today.
Yeah he’s still a goof and prat falling but he’s not in high school anymore and nobody gives a crap and that’s he’s only human. No one making fun of him. He’s relatively fine. So just keep walking heh
The bike scene was especially cute since even though it was an accident he was like “sorry my bad, I’ll pay for the damage if you want. No need for a fight or anything hehe” none of the bs bravado just common sense

Elwood Blues I asked because I have a similar feeling when I am on Facebook. Too bad I kind of need it for University group purposes :/

But then I realised that they send us upcoming events and shit through email, so that kinda took away any reason to follow them on Facebook anymore.......sorry to hear you're finding it hard on the site too....
Elwood Blues We are not the only ones. A lot of people actrually get very depressing feelings from FB but it has a monopoly so everyone kind of needs to stick with it to stay in contact with many..
At the end of this scene, the film apparently freeze frames and many viewers believed it was done by the filmmakers. In fact, to achieve maximum cheesiness, Tobey Maguire improvised the scene by physically stopping the flow of time for a few seconds, a testament to the actor's brilliance.

It's impossible to describe how I love this scene. Peter Parker is such a relatable character.
Everyone can relate to Peter Parker. At least, I do. I am a 21yo university student who struggles to make time for everything (school, work, friends). I am an introvert (so I barely have any friends) and I'm still single. I thought my life was finally on the right track not so long ago. I had good grades, I had a new friend (who had a lot in common with me), etc. I hadn't felt that good in years.
But then, all of a sudden, my friend stopped replying to me, as if I had never existed. And I am back to square one. I feel so sad, like, I feel as if nothing ever works out for me and that I am not allowed to be happy. This funnily reminds me of that "Parker luck" from the comics. Each time something seemed to be too good to be true for Peter, bad luck wasn't so far behind.
So anyway, with that being said, this is one of my favorite scenes of all-time. I always watch it whenever I feel depressed in life. It makes me realize that I am not alone, and that Peter Parker's been through some similar events. And guess what? He never gave up. He's always trying to be better.
And i am just in love this comment ☺️
I feel the exact same about this scene. I watch this when I’m down and it’s really inspiring for me to when that Parker luck comes
Not the current comics one though.

how it feels when you finally get over that one person
Me when I realize that Tobey is now apart of the MCU
Same bro.
Really?
@@kenzoud5679 do you live in a fucking cavern?
@@Francesco-ev6wl well its not confirmed yet....
@@h3ctor272 They don't have to confirm, Marvel always do tricks with their teaser/trailers. When Doc Ock is saying "Hello Peter", he is talking to Toby Maguire's Spiderman, considering the fact when Tom Holland's Spiderman is suiting up, it's broad daylight and in that Doc Ock's scene, it's dark, the difference between the two background. That kind of editing is intentionally done, to throw us off, the viewers.
When i'm always got depressed in my life, i watch this movie all the time, because this movie made peter parker so relate to us, thank you Mr. Sam Raimi.

I think it’s kind of funny how white guys and self identifying incels can project onto comic book characters and will literally cry real tears if they don’t relate to them but whenever POC talk about wanting representation you guys are the same people who say “it’s just a movie!!! Stop being a SJW!!”. So how are you able to find the importance of a guy who made a career out of being an anthropomorphic spider but can’t seem to grasp the reason why POC want to see themselves on screen as well?
Literally Figuratively who tf cares

What race has to do with anything?
I'd say taking inspiration from a fictional character that goes through the same problems as many of us, its pretty conforting.
Guys can feel like this guy in this scene when they drop off toxic relationships, turn the table on anxiety and depression, etc.
I'd have no problems with a new travestite super hero, as long as it doesn't ruin other heroes that were made to be that way.
The only Spider-Man who got a vacation
This song keeps coming to my mind when I had a good day on the job and I'm walking the street to go home feeling like the man
