Hiking Picacho Peak Aug 2019

Although Southern Arizona's Saguaro National Park has many awesome scenic trails to hike, my favorite hike is up Picacho Peak in a small State Park North of Tucson in Pinal County Arizona. I've hiked trails much longer and peaks much higher, but none has been so challenging over such a short distance, and loads of fun as well. But be warned that this hike can be exceptionally dangerous and even deadly if you are not prepared. Temperatures and sun exposure on the back of the mountain below the saddle can be overwhelming. Don't take the warning signs lightly.
