Marvel has released a new behind the scenes featurette for Doctor Strange which focuses on how Scott Derrickson and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige set about adapting artist Steve Ditko’s art for the film. The featurette reveals a lot of new footage from the film’s dimension-twisting sequences which fans are calling mind-blowing.
Variety reports that Michelle Williams is in talks to star as iconic rock star Janis Joplin in Martha Marcy May Marlene helmer Sean Durkin’s biopic entitled Janis. Producer Peter Newman has long held rights to Joplin’s catalog and a large collection of written materials, which will be used to create a movie about the last six months of the singer’s life. A release date has not been set.

Logan has been shrouded in secrecy since Day 1, but with director James Mangold now firmly in post-production, 20th Century Fox has begun the movie’s marketing campaign. Yesterday the official Instagram account released a new image of Boyd Holbrook’s character with the caption “Pierce,” revealing him to be the Marvel Comics villain Donald Pierce.
In an interview with Blastr from New York Comic Con, Evangeline Lilly set the record straight with what’s going on with her character, Hope Pym (a.k.a. The Wasp), in the next round of Marvel movies. According to the actress, Ant-Man and the Wasp will serve as an origin story for Hope as the Wasp, where we’ll get to see her in the suit for the first time.
Sony Pictures Animation announced yesterday that Emmy and Tony award winner James Corden (Into the Woods) and Emmy nominee Ilana Glazer (Broad City) are joining the previously-announced T.J. Miller (Deadpool) to lead the cast of summer 2017’s animated comedy Emojimovie: Express Yourself.
According to Deadline, STX Entertainment will move forward on Bad Dads, a spinoff movie to their $180 million global hit Bad Moms. The film is already set for for July 14, 2017, with the studio said to be revealing casting details in the coming weeks. STX also said it will develop cross-platform opportunities for the Bad parents brand as well.

Watching "Heroes" for a while, Schnepp had me excited for Dr. Strange. But hearing Campea talk so highly of the visual effects, I'm reeeeealy excited for the movie.

If you could only pick one,, would you go on a date with Sinead or watch Dr Strange? You can't do both, you can't ever watch Dr Strange at all (includes never watching it at the theater, TV, Blu Ray, streaming, etc).

I thoroughly enjoy listening to Campea setting a commentary up like he did on the Dr. Strange screening. Whether he says it's bad or good he always delivers on the conclusion.

While you are right, and Campea hypes things too much and has sh1t taste (he liked SS) A LOT of people are saying the same thing from a visual standpoint. So there's more to it than just Johns thoughts. It's like unanimous. The visuals that is. Movie could still suck.
+ddoojjaa I knew kevin fiege wouldnt let this movie fail, I have a feeling its gonna be amazing. dr strange is one of his favorite characters and he has been wanting to do a movie about him for awhile, I bet he made sure this movie was very well done and i liked that they got a director who usually does horror movies to do this film.

Just saw The Accountant ............ you will not be disappointed! Every single actor brought it, the story is good and has a nice mix of thrills and humor in it. Schnepp please start writing the "Bourne Accountancy"
Special effects are my specialty as well, with 20 years in 3ds max and photoshop. I'm looking forward to seeing this soooooo much.

Great that they're acknowledging Steve Ditko's massive influence on Dr. Strange. He did create the character and his world after all.

I also saw the 15min of Doctor Strange last night. John Campea is not even exaggerating and I've done acid/lsd, you dont even need it for this movie haha. It was incredible.

I think Rogue One will be a better film than Strange but if you want to experience something new visually go with Strange.

Testify John! Tell them!! I saw the Doctor Strange IMAX footage too. I told my friend the stuff you've seen in the Doctor Strange trailer and tv spots was nothin'. The footage was amazing. Can't wait for the Doctor Strange movie.
"Inception is Joe Dirt compared to Doctor Strange": Yeah that's what happens when you have 7 years of technological advancements...
But why didn't we have any other film that came close to Inception visually ever since ? We had the tech 2 years ago too, a year ago but nothing came of it. No 3D film even today really works. Yet people are saying Dr.Strange is visually THE ONE. I think the team behind this film, visually, deserves respect if they can deliver on that because even in this day no film has achieved it despite the technical equipment.
I would argue that 'Interstellar' was visually far superior to 'Inception'
How about Hugh Jackman as Hugh Jackman in a Deadpool movie? Deadpool could show up looking for help and Hugh could say" um I'm an actor" or something lol

Chris Cade well maybe not such an amazing time if you're a die hard DC fan. They're really screwing the pooch with the movies and tv. Snyder and Goyer don't understand the characters at all and are butchering everything. And don't get me started with Gotham, Arrow, Supergirl and LoT. It's such a shitshow.
There CW shows so there gonna be light hearted. Arrow fell off after season 3 hopefully it finds its way back. Flash is amazing though. Gotham biggest mistake was having a show without Batman. The DCU is gonna turn it around now that Geoff Johns is running things I believe that WW and JL will be great films.
+Chris Cade have you seen the season 5 premiere of arrow? it was really good. the fight scenes were great and it felt like season1/2 arrow, the 2nd episode is on tonight. I have faith that arrow will return to its former glory and flash had a good premiere too so imo they are having lots ot success on tv. and I agree with you I think they will turn their movies around, wonder woman looks fantastic and ive been wanting a justice league movie my whole life! lol

"F Inception" "the most spectacular visual i have ever seen on the big screen " Now I'm a fan of John Campea but sometimes he can over hyped or under play things a bit and when he hypes things up about a movie I'm usually underwhelmed and vice versa, so to say visuals are that great and better than Inception from a short i gotta take it with a grain of salt at least until i judge it for myself.

Well yea, of cause. Always take everything with a grain of salt. But I agree with John, because it took the whole inception thing visually and took it to a different level in that 15 mins. That one foot chase they saw (part of the trailer) was so freaking amazing. I had goosebumps watching the Visuals.

I totally understand your argument that original movies are often ignored by the same people that complain that they never make any of those. I will say that I think it's a flawed argument, because I have never even seen a trailer for any of the movies you mentioned, with the exception of Don't Breathe, which I watched and loved. But even Hell or High Water - I never saw a single trailer for in theaters. Great original movies are not ignored by film lovers. You can't blame the audience on that. They're just harder to discover.

deadpool isn't all about laughs, it's the end result of the story of his own film but if we remember him from the first wolverine film he can pull serious chops.
We've already had like a million "Bad Dad" movies. The reason Bad Moms was successful is because it subverts the trope. Bad Dads is the trope. What they should do is make a "Good Dads" movie but that probably wouldn't sell.

"Ant-Man" is one of the only films I can remember starting to doze off in the middle of--I loved the actors in it, but remain baffled about why it was so popular. Maybe integrating the Hope character into another bigger ensemble movie will help make things more interesting. I liked the bit of Ant-Man that was in "Civil War", so I have hopes that it wasn't the characters that were uninteresting as much as that origin story in particular.

Finally! A Janis Joplin biopic is confirmed. Its been in the works for years now. First (way back) Renee Zellweger was supposed to be cast in the part, then Pink showed an interest in playing her. Now Michelle Williams is going to do it...and what perfect casting she is too! (she was so good playing Marilyn Monroe) I was actually recently thinking to myself...who of the current crop of the better quality Hollywood actresses could play the part. But Michelle wasn't on my radar for some reason, but in hindsight she really is perfect. Now all we need is a good Jimi Hendrix biopic to be made too! I'm surprised that there haven't been any such movies made about these two Rock icons thus far...they were such interesting people and so influential.

When does War on Everyone come out in the US? It just came out in the UK and I have not ever heard you guys talk about it once! It's an American R rated buddy cop comedy movie starting Michael Pena and Alexander Skarsgard.
I think there is no date as of now.
Hopefully it'll make it to US theaters (I doubt this year at this point, but maybe January-February?)

"Iron Sky" is a freaking awesome movie to watch. it's hilariously awfully good.
