Yeah because the food coloring is water based, while the glass glue is supposed to be water proof so it probably messed it up

The purple “glue stick” glue paste they made is actually VERY similar to pastry cream in the cooking process. The way it thickened is one of my favorite parts when making it. The constant stirring for 7+ minutes (the about 5 to thicken and 2 to get rid of the starch taste) to get the product, not so much lol. Pretty interesting to see how things done in the kitchen, especially when it comes to baking and pastry arts, can be done industrially for alternate commercial uses, just with different ingredients :)

What would happen if you put magnetic powder and silicone will it form and harden in those funky shapes?
The magnetic powder wouldn't do anything until it's near a magnet and it most likely would just seperate from the silicon as soon as you put a magnet near it

Actually, it was the horse's SKIN they were after. Boiling the skin made both a durable leather (when properly cured) AND a pretty strong glue. It just smelled AWFUL.
Also, boiled FISH BONES and SKIN were another type of "animal glue."

I'm in the tile trade and occasionally do carpet, my dad has done carpet since 1974. In situations where we can't nail the tack strip to the concrete, we use Elmer's school glue. Let it dry over night and you can power stretch against it.

my method is sticky rice. that's what i used for arts and crafts in elementary school. ,my mom gave me some rice and i used them one grain at a time. interesting thing is that it's still at that school and is still holding together.

when I was a kid, in my country, we used to use cooked rice to make a paper glue, or tapioca flour with water to make glue.
that "craft paste" is actually what is used for paper mache. I forget if this was before or after but TylerTube did the exact strength test with normal liquid Elmer's glue and this glue can hold over 400 pounds.

Gelatin is Glutin (like bone glue) and I use bone glue for myself. The glue must heat up to 60°C (round 140°F) and must dry over 12 hour. The longer it dries, the better it is. This is a perfect glue because it is reversible (heating up again it will loose the connection)

Here in Mexico we call craft paste "engrudo". We use it to make piñatas by inflating a giant baloon and covering it with strips of newspaper soaked in craft paste to make a shell.

You should try to find out what happens if you put magic sand into the machine that drains it of all its moisture. Does is still have the magic sand signature “fall apart”? Maybe you could even mix it with liquid nitrogen.
