- I had the pleasure to sit down with my good friend Brian Davis, and be the first to get his take on what happened to his car down at Darlington raceway. Brian takes the time to talk about what happened when his none SFI certified Cartel Wheels Broke. During this interview Brian was asked.. Will you continue racing? His answer you will find in this interview.

When I learned Brian was going to be in okc for Armageddon in August I knew he was the one driver I wanted to meet. And finally that Saturday in the evening I was able to walk up and talk to him. before I got to I watched his interaction with fans. extremely friendly, inviting and very humble. And he took the time to talk to me. Even when Boddie walked over he did not dismiss me, but let me stay and talk with both of them. To me that was the coolest thing. more so than an autograph or a picture. So to Brian I say thank you and cannot wait to see you back out again.
sb632 thank you for your support
+badcompanyracing.

James Palmer I take it you are jealous I'm not all over yours?
James Palmer dumbass comment
Great interview Jay and Brian! It is a bummer that you wrecked brian but you said it perfectly...no need to get down👍. All of us can't be happier that you are ok after that wreck and we look forward to next year. You are a great guy and great racer!! Keep it up bro...and Happy thanksgiving to you and you're family. Same to you Payso😎 much respect.
i became a fan seeing his reaction to the wreck between him and chief, the only thin Brian was concerned about was how chief was doing, he didnt give a crap about the car, that to me is a true racer, a car can always be fixed, Great preson Great racer, good luck in all your future exploits Brian.
Jimmy Langston exactly people like are true racers
I just came a big fan wish you the best keep thinking positive and it will happen hope to see you on the strip soon bro
That impressed me also. Some times we see them with their game face on and cameras on and that's not really them. kind of a made for TV moment.
first let me say God bless you and your family and teammates I saw this and I can remember when that happened to my uncle and we are talking 1985 or 86 we all took it hard it took along time to get back on track now I race motorcycle... like you said you do it for the love of it and that's why I still do it today cause I see yous and it brings a smile to me stay strong and God bless
This guy is so humble and is lucky glad he's ok I enjoy watching him run his car on cable TVs in Australia 🇦🇺 thanks mate.
when he first went to race the 405, i thought he was just a cocky, sh*t talker that was full of himself. until i seen the real Brian after him and big chiefs accident. wow, i really gained a whole new respect for him. i heard what he said to chief, and i knew i had him all wrong. what a great guy.
Toby St.Clair I thought the same thing I feel bad for not knowing hours much they edit and work TV magic and make anyone that's not 405 be the ass but the guy seems to be a nice positive blessed person glad I was wrong
Same here
Fact. Now his my favorite outlaw racer. Man's got that soul.. Respect👏🏾
respect for being an incredible straight forward dude. Its refreshing to see some honesty in a person for a change. Everyone has there down times but they always turn up!!
I can truly say I admire you. I have watched your career for years now and I know you will be back faster and stronger. Till then keep your head up and keep grinding
I know you will be back out on the track ASAP, can't wait to see you back out kickin ass! By far my favorite grudge racer!
What an inspiration, his attitude, his friends family ect I aswell as many should aspire to have this man's attitude and passion for not just his hobby but his family.
All the best with love from Australia
Glad your ok and will be back in the game! NEVER GIVE UP!
Brian is the epitome of a Racers racer the passion the drive I will quote this for the rest of my life never quit never give up always live your life to the fullest one day we can meet and one day we maybe we can run your car is always fast always will be fast God bless you and your family from a Hawaiian.
Jon J sounds like someone has a crush!! Lmao!! Just playin bro!! Had to bust yer balls.. he's definitely a cool dude!
Brian, I love your never say quit attitude! I just don't want to see one day that you are no longer of this world because of your passion for this sport. You have to see where I am coming from, you have had some serious wrecks as of late.... I will pray from you and hope the best for you to recover from this last wreck. I don't want to come here and see, the one you did not walk away from and I'm sure your family feels the same. Said with much respect and love, I hope you understand that.
James Palmer tough talk Jp to bad your not man enough to understand my comment
wayne blackburn was only pestering
Been watching brian a long time and always had mad respect for him bit this video shows just how humble and real he is.. God bless brother
Just watched this man...thanks for being my friend brother ...be SAFE!!
Outstanding interview of a special man ...
Good video. Glad that he got through the incidents safely and hope to see him race in the future. Good luck to you “Chucky”.
Well, I'm glad I watched this. I'm a racer myself, even though I'm on the other side of the world I feel your pain here Brain. You are truly a humble and decent fella. Watching this has given me new found respect for you as a person. Obviously I had only seen your online and tv persona and watching this has reminded me how much that was all contrived and fabricated for the audience to an extent. You are such a great dude, that you don't need to paly a role for tv cameras, just be the stand up dude you are bro. I can appreciate where your coming from, it's some how grounding to hear it from someone else though. Family is the most important thing, and it looks like you have a beautiful family yourself. I hope you get the car back on track soon and all the best for the coming season
Nice way to handle a seemingly horrible situation and keep perspective about the small stuff. Well done.
Looking forward to seeing Brian on the starting line for outlaw 632.
Great video, shows his human side to be very real, seems like the type of person you would want for a friend. Well done. I hope the next wheels that you use will be stronger, my feeling is that there were not thick enough to withstand the side to side movement that occurs with these cars. Keeping things light is important but there is a point of where you have to draw the line on strength.
Chucky.... may God bless you and your family. U are by far a class A act and may that shine thru all life's struggles.
Crazy this was 2 years ago glad you just finished Chucky 2.0
Nice, well done, Hope to see him back out there sooner than later.
Very good interview Brian has racing in his veins and I agree .Everyone has their own vice and cars and racing is mine One reason I love Detroit. Man back in the day you could meet at the White Castle race all night and head out to the Detroit Dragway and test& tune it was part of growing up and kept me and my friends out of trouble. Thanks Payso for all you do man your footage and the way you renewed Milan makes racing fun again .
White Castle.? you mean Corvettes on Telegraph and Joy rd. The bikes went to White Castle. Anybody remember the guy that would show up with that burgundy colored 47 Thymes Panel that had the blown 427 Chevy. maybe thats going back to far and im showing my age..
Loved those days brother.
I'm so sorry chucky been watchin you for years now all over the country an to see this happen to you for the second time it really sucks an wanted to say i was sorry
Keep ya head up man! Love watching you drive, and can't wait to see you back in the seat draggin ass!
got a lot of respect for this man ain't Makin excuses or blaming anyone when he honestly could
Hope to see you back out and racing soon!!
Watching this Reminds Me Why Chucky Is My Favorite Driver..... Thats A Bad Man! Wrecked His NEW Car, Taped It Up & Went Back out The Hunting For The Money! Game As Hell, No Quit In Him! Hope to See You Racing Again In 2017, Much Love From PA
i had a two piece Mitchell aluminum wheel and the tig Weld failed , the two haves separated i was putting air in at the time , it blew my arm off at the elbow and broke my neck in three places i had a amazing doctor and He reattach my arm and I've had two neck surgeries 10 years to recover but after all the pain the car is still the best medicine , Glad you made it out ok , i have no doubt you will be back faster than ever
vwdarrin wow that's fucking horrible
I hope you sued the bastards
vwdarrin far out mate, terrible story! but glad your still here.

started reading the comment without looking at the name and i though "sounds like darrin"
seems like the good guys always have the hardest times. good luck Brian. stay humble and things will always fall into place
Great guy!! So glad to have him Rep us Motor City guys!!
truly blessed man and he knows it. wish there were more like Chucky out there
The way I learned racing, is you build break and repeat until you win it all. Never give up at NOTHING~!~
A REAL STRIGHT UP MAN. I JUST LEARNED ALOT ABOUT MR CHUCKY DAVIS !!! His head and heart are in the right places!!!
Love your attitude Brian keep up the good work and good luck next season
Man this video will deff bring a tear to your eyes....
Good luck to you and your crew... Hope to see you back out there soon..
im a fan of brians and just become a bigger fan bc of this video knew he was a pretty good guy when i seen him check on big chief after the crash i have a ton of health issues been thru a lot and watching these guys race gives me the reason to fight on thur all my operations and stuff glad to see u are ok bless each and every one of u guys for what u do thanks again
I can honestly feel him on racin being a huge part of his life... very kool video
Hard to check the "I like this" because I don't like your loss but glad this is documented. Hang in there and keep pushing back to the top. As a friend of mine once said after a racing accident, "The good Lord is trying to tell me something... I need a new car..." Let the bad put you on the path to greatness. As you pointed out, you will find who all your friends are as well as who doesn't stand by you.
Much respect to Chucky and hopefully he gets back out there sooner then later.
I respect this guy more and more, good people still do exist 👏🤘💯
Really great interview!
Great interview and a great guy. I am so glad to hear he's fixing the car. Shame about having to spend money that was meant for a new motor but hopefully the new motor is just delayed a bit.
Hope it all works out ok. Look forward to seeing you back out there f**king shit up!!
Thanks for the interview! One tip though, keep one audio track for the interview when you switch between cameras. Hearing the different audio from the different cameras when they switch is distracting and has an amateur feel. Video quality is good, content is great. Grab a mic and you'll be set!
nice video and great guy hope to meet him one day a the races keep your head up chucky
hey brian sorry to see that happen. to start I'm not a engineer, but some thing to mull over. that hime joint is designed for compression or tension not shear and that link is putting it in a shear situation. the wheel breaking probably put a lot of shear on it. why not a panhard rod?
Wow,what a great guy,he deserves any GOOD luck that comes.Guts
I'm soo GLAD 🧐😀 he's ok i never saw hem again sence the crash WITH BIG CHEF BRIAN CHUCKY GOD BLESS BROTHER
excellent interview. Totally upstanding guy.
you are asome man brian thanks for the video.
glad to see your ok and I'm a huge fan of yours
He is lucky to have all the people backing him some people cant Catch a break and do what they love to do I'm stuck here not being able do what I wanna do So live strong and deftly be preciate for what you got Because a lot of the guys out there Do not Preciate it
great interview payso
I have total respect for you chucky.
+James Palmer when you have something important to say go ahead and speak.
Alex Chacon LMAO
I'm glad, your ok.
I would of probably not rerun car until. I got it on a lift and do a full inspection on supension components/ chassis. I believe the original accident was caused by rear wheel fail. I like watching you race and can tell your a fierce competor. Hope they make it Right.
The wheel was the fault of original wreck. I totally feel you.
Take it easy,
Keep on Dreaming
great interview, and i know will see Brian out busting some people's asses next year
Great Great interview !!!
gotta love brian and love the last like 3 min of the vid what he says there is so true ;)
Brian - you are definitely a class act.
Stand up guy, keep racing Chucky much love
GL to you brother. You are so right about life, and having it better then most people on this planet even when chit happens to you. At least you do not have people trying to kill you for various reasons atm like other people on this planet. Chucky FTW :).
I couldn't tell if the opening to the video was a joke or not. The music was hilarious.
When you wreak a car such as this you really shouldn't try to race it again until it has been taken to a shop and gone completely through! I keep thinking of the Darelle Gwyen car over in the UK! the story I heard was he had heated up part of the frame so the fuel pump would fit and that was where the frame came apart! In other words any time there is a possible compremise in the frame or componets, don't race!
Glad your ok... See you at Milan next spring
Amazing video!
Thats just a parking dent compared too when he wrecked with Chief!
Chief got fucked on that deal it was Chucky fault Big Chief lost his shit he took Chief out!!! I know it's street racing but that wrecked was fucked up!!
@@cashmoneyv197436ify Exactly! Chief was in front and Chucky should of lifted, instead he drove straight into Chief's rear quarter panel and it was a miracle Chief wasn't killed!
what a cool guy .. hope he's bk soon as possible..
good video but the music??? little too dramatic for someone still alive and racing.
Such a humble guy. Good luck chucky
I have a whole new respect for Brian especially being hes a local super heroe hope to meet him sometime and just bs with him
If you google Cartel you see they have had issues before with quality products and timely delivery . Glad to see Brian is alright .
Cldnt have said it any better! Idk this guy but he knows what's up in life that's for sure!!
Glad to know you're coming back Brian. I cannot believe this happened, but a new found respect has emerged for you after all of this and I wish you nothing but success man.
HE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE FIRST
big ups to Brian and his crew
I clicked on this thinking he was going to be talking about the wreck with chief. Come to find out he wasnt but i remember when that rim broke. Cant believe it's been 3 years since that happened
Why is he so humble :(
just a thought. but it would be a good investment. a x-ray to check cracks in metal and a gauge to check alinement and trueness of rims after a brush with a wall. but the xray, means a full disassembly and reassembly after each event. and haven done welding for Central transport out of high point n.c. I would send that part out for analysis testing the weld at the nut where the hymejoint and jam nut buts up. because when he slid the part into the wishbone. it didn't sound like taped and treaded alluminum round tubing. like the replacement hexagonal aluminum tubing part our team used when my friend wrecked on the front stretch at Road Atlanta in his 76 Lancia Scorpion. if you don't know anything about the car, you may be mistaken. it's the car Herbie the love bug fell in love with in Herbie goes to Montecarlo. and that's the name of that car in Europe and other countries outside of europe. GM had something to say about that before being introduced to the U.S. market. Hence Scorpion. so Herbie not only raced in Montecarlo but went for a Montecarlo.
Great video!!
Best of luck for the future
The pursuit of going faster, not always the safest, hope you don't loose your mind trying, it's all about how has the deepest pockets, don't waste your life or loose your mind racing, it's a live to work or work to live scenario, not good luck racing, it's good luck living a full life, you may never live a full life because of the pursuit to go faster, best of wishes
life gives ya lemons...make lemonade...good luck on the rebuild..can't wait to see it
I'm confused are those the same wheels that were on when he wrecked first time because if so it probably had stress cracks already that's why it broke
cortney bunge the cartels were on the car during the first wreck and he borrowed someone else’s for the second one
I'm sorry you lost the car but I'm glad you weren't hurt or killed. I hope you get back in it soon. Take care.
I saw you first at chiefs wreck when you were crying that he must be all right .n thinking about his kids n family.....well thanks to safety measures your life is safe ...dnt bother about machines or car they can be rebuild even iffull distroyed but it's life which cant feel your self lucky to see another day....thank God....
Your a class act Brian. Good luck get back soon
Awesome video Payso
why is the diff only held centered by one joint. i thought a watts linkage or a panhard type bar would be much stronger as its held by more than one point, especially with the horsepower these guys run.
Seems like a okay guy. Did he offer to help chief get a new car?
everytime a "car guy" calls a wheel a "rim" numerous times....I assume they have no idea what they are talking about.
meanwhile, the cartel folks were prob thinking the actual 'rim' failed not the wheel itself.
further more....when did racers start taking to social media to trash equipment manufacturers that they selected? this smacks of woe-is-me...racers race. suck it up and select a solid-center wheel next time.
sorry about your car brian hope everything gets back up and going boss
I feel ur pain my brother u don't deserve this, after working so hard
Any news on Brian right now?
He's been quiet for a long time........
Chucky, you the man. From one michigander to another I respect your courage and your strength to continue with what you love. Don't ever fukin give up. Get that car ready I'll be watching for it. You're a good man Brian and I'll beat the hell out of anybody says different😉😎 until next time keep your car straight and fast as hell I'll catch you later bro🤙🤘👍😎
Discover E
The company who made those rims ought to think about making a contribution on the rebuild
So is he building a new chassis again or just fix the current one?
WELD!
Yea the rims wer welded haha
