I am glad you interviewed Dean MacAdam! It’s wonderful to see the artist and hear about their process. I hope you continue with interviewing artists of puzzles!

The one thing I love about Dean's puzzles is all of the detail on the pieces.

What a fun interview! Love his puzzles and have done the Alice in Wonderland and Goldilocks puzzles....so beautiful! I have the Lions and Tigers and Bears puzzle waiting. His artwork is amazing and puzzle perfect!
I recommend all of them. I think my favorite is the Alice puzzle but it is very very hard to pick

Loved Busy Birdies, but it was a tough puzzle to complete for me. I did complete it, which I sometimes don't with a hard puzzle. But I loved this puzzle.
I'm so happy that you completed the puzzle. It is very beautiful even if it's more difficult than the others 😍

I am the “someone“who posted about finding the Robots puzzle. Great video! I love Dean’s art. Alice was the first DM puzzle that I did. Such a wonderful, unique, special and challenging puzzling experience. I have been reluctant to get Busy Birdies because it looked really difficult, but your video makes me want to get it now.

The cherry blossoms killed me, but it was still an awesome puzzle. Love fairy tale puzzles, but i also like busy puzzles.
Another great video Liza, love Dean’s work hope he continues the fairytale theme - can’t yet get the Three Little Pigs in Ireland but fingers crossed it’ll become available soon.

How interesting that the concept was to widen the Alice in Wonderland jigsaw puzzle - most of my fellow puzzlers loved this one.
How should a new artist try and approach Ravensberger?
You can try contacting them on Instagram or on their website. They have a form. I don't know how well they're responding but it's worth a try.

I thought about that as well. All the mattresses are amusing to imagine 🙂
i love dean’s puzzles, but this makes me feel so much better. i’ve completed goldilocks and 3 little pigs and found them challenging, but fun and doable. even all that yellow in 3 little pigs was doable because of all the little details.
however…i started the alice puzzle and got super stuck. i still have the top half of the tree, the background, and the flowers. it overwhelmed me and i buried it under another project i’m working on. once i get back to it, i think i can push through the flowers if i do the tree and the background first, giving me a smaller section to focus on. i don’t really enjoy sections that all look the same and i have to try pieces one at a time, but i won’t fault him for doing that in a puzzle that wasn’t orginally a puzzle, and also his first 1000. it’s still a really nice image.
also, can i just say… 38,000 pieces a MONTH???😮😮😮
I have a trick for difficult puzzles. You get them out and decide to do 20 in 20, putting 20 pieces in 20 minutes. Almost always you enjoyed enough to do more than 20 minutes in a lot more than 20 pieces. But if not you at least make some progress. And slowly it will get there.

Another great interview! I love hearing the artist's perspective and insight, they're all so friendly and talented! It'd be awesome if not just Dean but many of the other more popular artists came out with larger format pieces. 1000 piece puzzles are fun but I have bad vision and arthritis in my hands, so it would provide more accessibility to those who can't always do standard size puzzles as well as give the artists more of a variety of piece sizes--it would also give them the opportunity to expand the fan base!
If I may, why ONLY Ravensburger? I know they're an excellent brand but why do you exclusively do just them? Genuinely curious. Happy puzzling :)
I agree that they should do more of these since so many people like them.
I only do Ravensburger because they are really the best quality you can find. And there are so many puzzles by them that it is possible to stick with them 🥰❤️
I just ordered dog walk (500 pc version) and have almost all others. Love love love the style and colors, so fun! This great art work is why I enjoy puzzling. Off topic: love the photo (?) Behind Dean on his wall, is it his work?
