I have the wonderful Shure MV 88 thunderbolt mic - this is the only small case/cage that will let me have access to my thunderbolt connection to connect this fantastic mic!
I have the same mic, and it does have rather great stereo sound quality. The rubber phone protectors do tent to get in the way of that mic being attached, I've actually cut sections away with a razor blade to get the mic jack fully inserted.

Would you be able to use a Magsafe charger attached to the iphone 12 Pro Max when in this Beastcage or does the lens frame block the needed alignment of the it?
The cage for the 12 pro max is impossible to find now, even aftermarket. It’s kinda odd.

Yes, it can and has been done. Great lighting, great actors, and a good story are important here. iPhone 12, 13 or 13 pro with 4k, and then a good sound recording rig, and you are practically Sundance bound.

Hi pal, I am contemplating if I should get the Beastgrip pro or the Beastcage for the 13 pro max. are there any massive difference between both?
Big difference between the two. So the Pro is a universal phone mount so pretty much any phone out there can be used with it. It is made out of a high quality plastic material as well. The beastcage specifically for iPhone 13 series is solid metal. It’s a tank. You could throw your phone out of a moving car in that thing and the phone would probably survive just fine. Also because it’s precisely engineered to fit the phone perfectly. The optics lining up with the lens and phone will be perfect. So just depends if you’ll get enough use out of the Beastcage and it’s worth buying a new one every time you upgrade then I really like the metal case. But if you want versatility then the pro is a great universal option.

Hi Michael, have you tried mounting the arm R on the left side? Beastgrip's website says they are L/R specific. But I can't help but think that they might both work both sides?
They technically do fit on either side. If you put the L on the R or vise versa it will just not b perfectly straight it’ll be at a slight angle. Not a huge deal.

Hey Michael, I just got the exact same rig setup from Beastgrip and I am looking for a Professional level gimbal to mount it to...any suggestions?
Right now it's a toss up between the Feiyu-Tech AK4500 and the DJI Ronin RS 2. Have you worked with either of these, and if so which would you recommend?
I had the AK4500 for a number of years when it came out. Actually did a video on it a year or two ago you can find on my channel. Personally I’d probably go Ronin RS2 just because it’s newer and has some more up to date features as well as should fit the wider rig a bit better but either gimbal would do the job.

Absolutely. Each of the handles has a hot shoe mount or a 1/2 20” mount and easy access to the lightning port. P
