    Fuck me this guy is made of tough stuff ! I’ve done clutches on driveways and in my 2 years as a technician and I gotta say that point where he’s lifting gearboxes back in on his own is so respectable to watch! That moment when they locate and you can get a bell housing bolt in is epic when you have help but to do it alone takes a speacial kind of guy!
    Excellent video as always and great work 👍

      Wonder how much torque he's putting on the bolts on the fly and clutch. And will he replace the engine and trans when the clutch and fly decide they want to leave?

  • @mike1952planes
    @mike1952planes Před 3 lety +1

    When I started in the trade, the main workshop didn't have many ramps. All the clutches and gearbox or torque converter removals were done on the floor. Stood me in good stead for when I went as a mobile mechanic. Nice to watch someone who knows what he's doing!

    I have done this for few years myself and I used to always crack the wheel nuts before putting axle stands, as being alone would have made one stranded if the nuts won't come off with impact gun and the car is on axle stand and you have no one to press the brake pedal for you. Great work and best of luck.

    Fixing boats for a living is a demanding job, but let me say that for the most part the heavy lump than can kill me is underneath me as I stand over my work. Automotive work you are underneath it, so if you don't brace the car or engine part properly !!. So you are literally taking your life into your own hands. Fair play to this chap, a professional who has all the tools too. Top work
