I just made my first Log Cabin quilt and love the free pattern from A Quilting Life for a large log cabin block. 18 in square so using scraps would be perfect. Hope you were able to meet Beth Anthony for a quick interview? Would be so fun for you to have a little meet and greet and share with us how she decides on her patterns to quilt all these gorgeous quilts. Thank you for this quilt show video

I didn’t watch this in one sitting, so have to comment again. I loved the orange on the Long Tall Africa, and I believe that pattern is one that Stephanie at Quilt Addicts Anonymous did on her channel. And the interview with Beth was so interesting! Thanks again!

FYI, Mac at 53:40, Not Tula Fabric! That stripe on the binding is Kaffe Fasset's Shot Cotton in stripes which he gets made for him in India. I read an article about it in one of his books. Cotton Shot is yarn-dyed cottons created using two different colors for the weft and warp, giving each color a unique look. Shot cottons tend to be of a slightly lighter weight than quilting cotton fabrics. They can appear blue, green or purple at a distance but up close you can see the two different colors of threads. very very cool
