My best guess about that would be that they didn’t have the ability to do a slow motion replay right then and there on set. They definitely could’ve done it in post production, but that could’ve detracted from the flow of the show. (Coming from an editors perspective)

I remember seeing a Talkboy at the store and making sure to ask my mom very politely if I could have one. Surprisingly she said yes. I remember jumping up and down like a lunatic with a giant smile on my face. I told her she made me the happiest boy in the world haha. Thanks for the nostalgia flashback.

Genuinely think the 90's-early 2000's was the greatest time period of modern history. We had 99% of the technology we have today that impacts our quality of life, yet not so much that we are over involved with tech. It was all strong and durable, and still raw and mechanical, yet advanced enough to do everything for the most part that technology does for us now

I had a Talk Girl! It was just the same as the Talk Boy, but metallic pink. Also, had the Talk Boy pen, too!
SkyDancers were my FAVORITE toy as a toddler!!!!! Some of my very first memories are of me playing with my sky dancer in my childhood bedroom while I was supposed to be cleaning it up. I ended up shoving everything under my bed and my brother told on me so I had to go back and "redo" it.
“Watch the skies for Dragon Flyz” was a part of my childhood that no one else I’ve ever talked to about it remembers but me. I think it was part of the intro for the show/movie? I’m glad to be somewhat validated by the presence of the toy on here though.
