Never met the man, but he was part of my life and morning routine for years. Feels like losing a family member. Rest easy brother
There are radio professionals, and then there are people who made everything in radio better. The people that you always looked forward to hearing. Jeff Burton was one of the best and should be remembered as such in StL.
Hey, I'm subbed to you, I didn't know you were local
I’m sorry for your loss guys. St. Louis radio won’t be the same without Jeff. RIP Jeff!! We love you!!
Jeff is the reason I got into The Point. That dude was light in a world of dark. It kills me inside in a way that can never be healed. I will miss his laugh, his wit, his heart and his love for music. God bless you all and Jeffs family. R.I.P. to a legend
I’m so grateful to have met Jeff more than a few times but I will never forget seeing him at breakfast one day. I said hi to him while he was walking by and that I loved listening to him on the show. He graciously said thank you and sat down to his breakfast. What truly blew me away was him coming back to my table when he finished up to say hi and talk to me a little more. He was one of the greats and I’ll never forget him or his kindness
I have literally listened to Jeff on The Point for as long as I can remember, from middle school to me now in my 30's. He would always make me laugh and you can tell he was a genuinely sweet and caring man.
Jeff was the best! Loved his humor and way to make me laugh in a shitty day. Miss that man
I’ll admit I sat in my truck and cried when I heard this. Jeff was the voice of my youth and a Saint Louis icon. RIP brother creeper.
I'm from New Jersey about 6 months I mistakenly came across your radio show and I've enjoy every minute of it. Jeff and all you guys have been getting me through an extremely difficult time in my life. September 9th I go In for a pancreas and liver transplant. I want to tell you guys and Jeff's family he has been helping in my fight. May he rest easy and my prayers go out to you guys and more importantly his family. Sincerely Don Wuertz!! Dumont New Jersey!!
It feels weird since he didn't know I existed but I'm 30 and have listened to his voice for most of my life. It feels like losing a friend.
From Rhode Island....I found this show a few years ago and I am so sorry to Hear This...God Bless Jeff and his family

Mornings will never be the same. So many laughs. So many gut wrenching laughs. The world has lost a beautiful mind today. RIP Jeff. We love you.
This made me practically tear up. It's hard because I listen to this man everyday for years and he became almost like a friend to me. It just breaks my heart that he is gone. RIP you will forever be a legend in St. Louis.
RIP Jeff, my favorite on the show. It will not be the same
Just so sad, I’ve listened to him for years. Back in the day at Creepy Crawl and Mississippi Nights he was all about being in St Louis loving the local scene and bands. Super friendly and all around good guy. My condolences to his family all the guys and girls at the Point. LEGEND!!!!
Praying for Jeff’s family, the guys, and all of Team Rizz. Jeff was a bright light for me during a tough time. He will be sorely missed. I totally thought he was going to pull through. God Bless everyone he touched 🙏🏾❤️
You didnt have to know him or even meet him.but when you just know who and what he was. Honest .true. Integrity and this man Jeff. Burton taught me more than people I was with my entire life . he is missed everyday in our house and its the saddest thing to have seen him go from Jeff we all knew to missing and gone
There wasn't even time to say good bye.we was all not thinking that way. Miss you a lit big guy. Hopefully I'll get to meet him in the after life. R.I.P.
We will always love ya Jeff. That’s our Jeff!
You guys hit the nail on the head when you said St. Louis radio will never be the same. Jeff was a one of a kind and will truly be missed. He was definitely one that made me laugh regularly with his off-hand comments. Love you guys! Sending love and hugs to you and his family!
I'm so sorry for your loss, guys. His family has someone wonderful watching over them now. He was a wonderful man. He will always be my favorite. I'm sobbing in my car right now.
When I’m on duty spending my morning in my car, Jeff was always the one who was guaranteed to make me laugh or at least smile. My heart goes out to his friends and loved ones. We’ll miss you brother
St. Louis has lost a legend. Jeff was to the POINT what Uman is to KSHE. The radio will never be the same. To Jeff's family: St. Louis loved him and he touched so many lives. He brought joy to thousands of people. It's hard to have a better legacy than that. May God be with you and look after you!
We love you Jeff. Heaven won't be dull anymore
So sorry for the lost. Jeff was the Grand Dad of the Point.
You will be missed but you will never be forgotten about . We love and miss you brother and now you're in heaven and you can laugh at the guys and watch them go through the crazy stuff and you can look down tops of women from heaven.
I'm not sure what to say, but what you guys said about Jeff just says that he was one hell of a man who loved life and lived his life to the fullest, God bless you Jeff and may you be in God's grace!!
Damn I was really hoping and praying Jeff would beat this😢😢😢....REST IN PEACE JEFF
Always wanted to meet and hang out with Jeff. He was my favorite radio personality ever. I've lived in North Jersey, Kansas City, Chicago, and St. Louis, no other radio host/personality has made me laugh as hard or as happy as Jeff did. His commentary, laughter, and chirping of his co-hosts will be missed. His skeptical side balanced out more zealous personalities that he sat with and brought a light level headedness that is missing in our world all too often of late. Rest well Jeff Burton.
Jeff Burton was more than a simple radio host. He was a legendary figure in the St. Louis music and radio scene. A big ball of laughter, music, and heart wrapped up in a man's body. He was the kind of guy that you knew was famous, but you could still hang with him, have a drink, and shoot the breeze, as if he was one of your best friends.
There was no one like him and no one will ever be quite like him.
St. Louis has lost one of its greatest champions and the city will forever be a bit darker for it. RIP, Jeff. You are loved and you will be sorely missed.
First met Jeff when he had the “Jeff, Trish & Thom” show. RIP Jeff. You will be missed :(
Heroes get remembered, but legend’s never die. Jeff embodied both of those thus he will always be remembered as a legend.
Used to listen to the show every morning on my way to college. Very sad to hear about Jeff.
Jeff sat a couple rows back from me at the GNR concert at the dome a few years back. I was starstruck and just gave him a head nod and he replied with the same courtesy. As good as that show was I will remember that moment the most. RIP
R.I.P Jeff your a true Legend. I am honored to have met you and got to share my mornings with you. Fly high buddy. Until we meet again.
Today was the first day in 8 years that I didn't have any truck deliveries. I'm glad I didn't because I would have had to pull over and cry.
RIP Jeff, thoughts and prayers to his family and 2nd family.
So sorry for a huge loss for The Point, his family, Missouri, and the world. 😢
You guys did a beautiful job with this thank you🤍
This is a hard hit boys,im sorry the the loss of a LEGEND! He fought hard and will be missed dearly. 😢 im bummed but i'll try and do better Jeff,i heard your words.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Jeff, yet my heart breaks. I listened to him every morning and he always made me laugh. I will strive to be kind every day in honor of Jeff. To his wife, daughters, extended family and Point family, I'm so very sorry for your loss and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
Jeff was a major part of St. Louis and St. Louis Radio. Jeff will forever be missed and will never be forgotten.
RIP Jeff your out of pain and at peace now doing radio show in heaven.
Jeff will never be forgotten!
I'm heartbroken. You could never be replaced, Jeff Burton. We love you.
Jeff has been my role model since 2008 - it was the toughest year of my life. I had just been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, my parents told me they were getting a divorce, and I was about to start the dreadful experience of high school.
Every second I got to hear him on the air or meet him at a Point Event was and will forever be a blessing.
One day I hope I can be remembered as even half the man he was.
To me the Rizzuto Show and all of us listeners are one big family Jeff would be the brother that kept the peace amongst the brothers and sisters you will be deeply missed but never forgotten
Mr Jeff Burton a true icon in St Louis and will without a doubt be missed.
During the short time I lived in St. Louis, I was going through very tough times.....financial problems, addiction, the loss of a family member, and the early months of the pandemic were beating me down. Jeff, like all of you guys, gave me a reason to smile every morning when I struggled through my commute to try fulfilling a career doomed to fail, and I will forever be grateful for the light I could seek in that darkness. Keep being awesome and never stop carrying that torch for Jeff
I'm not from St. Louis, but have recently been introduced to the Rizzuto Show by a St. Louis friend. I can see why this show and the people are so important to him, especially the legacy that Jeff has left behind. Thank you for the reminder to be positive and choose kindness. Sending lots of love and hugs from Texas. ❤️
Jeff is a amazing soul❤️❤️☮️ rest in peace buddy. We will never forget Jeff
The point should start a fundraiser to help the Burton family financially through this tough time. Rest in peace Jeff. You'll always be a big part of Saint Louis and beyond
We love you so much, Jeff! Will miss you terribly and will forever remember growing up with your voice in my ears.
*The show just isn’t the same anymore, Rizz and Moon are trying to keep it after Jeff passed and then Patrico was let go but it’s just not the same show. Man I miss listening to my dudes every morning.*
That was hard to watch. So sad he is gone. He was a good person. RIP Jeff. You will be missed.
I met the man many times. He was so nice and he shall be missed!
He was such a strong man!
R.I.P. Jeff. You will be greatly missed. Condolences to the Burton family and to the Hubbard family.
RIP Jeff Burton. One of the funniest wits ever.
God bless you all, and his families
This has shocked and stunned me to my core. I grew up, literally grew up, to Jeff Burton's voice on the radio. He was apart of my life, every day, from the time I woke up, thru-out my drive to work, and for the first couple hours while at my desk getting the morning paperwork done. Im 38, and he has been with me since I was a kid. It really truly saddens me to know that his voice will no longer be apart of my mornings. The only solace, the semblance of comfort and peace of mind I get is knowing that he is no longer in pain, and can now rest. After watching a close friend waste away and die right before my eyes, from pancreatic cancer, I would not wish that on my worst enemy. And it deeply saddens me to know that Jeff had to endure that kind of pain. And so it is a merciful comfort that he can now rest. I sincerely hope he understands how many of us really truly loved him and will miss him, and will never ever forget him.
Rest In Peace Jeff Burton
Sorry to hear and condolences to the point family and his personal family. He will be forever remembered by all of St. Louis, for history.
Just a grown man crying his eyes out over another grown man he never met… Rest easy Jeff.
My condolences to Jeff's family and friends. I grew up listening to Jeff and now radio will never be the same. I will truly miss his humor and his quick wit. Rest easy, Jeff.
We love you Jeff. Forever and always.
Huge bummer. He was a good old bird.
I never met him. Never heard of him. I clicked this thinking it was NASCAR driver Jeff Burton. But, after reading the comments, I can say I'm saddened by his passing. It sounds like the impact he had was enormous, and I don't even live in the area!!
Rest easy Jeff. Thank you for touching the lives of so many. You're who I want to be.
Jeff was my favorite member of the show and I feel like everyone I talked to said he was theirs as well. He will never be forgotten. Love that man.
"Choose kindness......be positive!!!"
Rip Jerf. Your one liners, positivity, kindness, dirty sense of humor and overall demeanor will be missed very much
Rest in peace, Jeff. I hope you got my postcard before you passed. Love you brother.
We love you Jeff.
We love all of the point team.

Miss you Jeff. Thank you for the 25+ years of laughter and new music. Love you man
We are all looking forward to Rizz Show Rewinds so we can hear Jeff lift our spirits and make us all laugh again.
Met him only a couple of times but he was always very friendly and warming. Wish I got to meet him more often but never went to any events. Wish I would have gone to more meet and greets. Dude made me and my friends and family laugh for the last 30 years.
RIP Jerf. St. Louis radio is changed forever
Jeff was the funniest man I've ever known. I am so so sorry to hear about this. Love to The Point family and friends.
I’ve never met him, but he was apart of my life for 6 plus if not longer of my life. I really enjoyed him in the radio. The kindness person ever. He will be missed. Rest easy brother,
Sorry to hear this guys. RIP Jeff
I was fortunate enough to meet him twice. Jeff made a profound impact. Truly one of a kind. He will be missed.
Jeff truly was a great man. He made my old band feel very welcome the first time we were invited on the show and every time we saw him since. He always said hi to me out in public and was always smiling. Truly a positive guy. He will be truly missed.
Rest in Paradise, Jeff! STL won't be the same without you on the radio everyday but your memory will live on. I will be praying for his family, the Point family and for all who are grieving Jeff's passing.
I sent him the letterkenny ostrich shirt. Him showing it off on the webcams is something I'll never ever forget
We will always miss u Jeff. We love u dearly
My heart goes out to the Burton Family and the Point Family! Jeff brought joy to the area and will ne missed so much!
Huge loss, huge. One of a kind guy with a super sense of humor. Condolences to the Rizz Show and the family. That's our Jeff!
Jeff was such a great cousin (my mom and Jeff are first cousins). Jeff battled with something all his life and all he cared about was making others smile. I’m at a loss of words but I’m just happy he’s with his mom. Long live Jeff.
Man this one really hurts. The rizz show will never be the same.
Rest easy Jeff Burton 😔
So Sad.... Much Love to you Guys and his Family.......🙏💔🙏
gone but not forgotten!!!!!
If you listen to the opening line in "The Spirit of Radio" That is the way i really viewed jeff the most. He really was an amazing man and husband.
May you never hear Achy Breaky Heart again! Luv u bro
I bumped into him as I was picking up my concert tickets from the Union Station studio and he tried to get me to flirt with the girl behind the counter. I was/am married but it was a great awkward feeling. Thanks Jeff!
Sorry for you're guys lost, and ours
I will miss his quick wit and one-liners. I listen to your show every morning driving around St Louis. I find myself almost involved in your conversations. The show won't be the same without Jeff, but I'll be still listening to you guys for as long as you guys are on the air. Thanks for the laughs, Jeff. My deepest condolences to his family, including you guys at the Rizz Show.
We love you Jeff. You'll be missed but not forgotten. Thank you for the years of joy you've spread to our community. Rest in Peace.
