When you laugh at yourself when you have funny thoughts, I so relate. I often laugh at my goofs. Always remember…Blessed is she who can laugh at herself, for she shall never cease to be amused.
I love this idea. I have a few special cards I saved from my childhood, now I can repurpose them to be enjoyed instead of them being packed in a box out of sight. 💖
I love watching you. You are funny and don’t take yourself too serious. Love all the useful ideas.
Gayle, you are so good. I love the idea of using corrugated cardboard to make lines. Terrific video as always.
Me too
Yes, I ama newbie and everything is new to me. So don’t worry about repeating ideas over the years. Thanks for your creative projects.
Oh my goodness...what great ideas for the use of greeting cards. Who would have guessed that this would come up at this time? I just cleared out BOXES of old greeting cards that I have had stored for years. The journal maker in me kept saying that I could use them some way in a journal. Thank you, Gayle, for sharing these ideas! Love them all!
Thanks Julie for requesting this. This month I am going through 57 years of anniversary and other cards!!
The lines from the corrugate is genius! Thank you!
Outstanding projects. The journals are adorable and can be made in a short amount of time. Thank you!
These turned out awesome. such great ways to use up greeting cards. Always hate to throw them away. the card for your inspiration journal is perfect💖
These are so fun! I really like the way the "messy" stitching looks. I know another crafter who calls that a "sketched on" look. And I LOVE Mary Engelbreit! Funny, I just bought a cute box of cards from the 70's at an antique store and now I know how I can use them in my junk journals!
Hello Gayle!
I could only watch the first few minutes and had to stop before my imagination exploded. I did my exercises before watching the rest of the video so I could let the ideas percolate! So exciting! After calming down, I watched the rest of it and got even more inspiration! Thank you so much for making this such a fun day!
Another great idea. I have tons of old cards that i've kept through the years.
I wish I had a sewing machine because I love the stitched look. I could watch you craft all day. Love these ideas!
Great ideas. If Julie has a lot of Christmas cards she can make gift list books or prayer journals. Either of these could be given to friends and family or left in a doctor's office for anyone.
That's a lovely idea 💡😊
So cute when you were working on the bunny card & said you'll 'hop on over & have a dig' thru your 6×6 paper pads!! 🐇❤🐇
Today I put cards in my recycle box & now I'm off to retrieve & repurpose.
Thanks for inspiration Gayle ❤
My grandchildren would love to get a little journal made from a card, and they go together so quickly. Thank you for sharing all of the ideas in this video with us!
That's such a wonderful idea and it's automatic for me to say "blessed you" when you sneeze and then I sneezed after that. What a love morning for me to spend with you here. Love and hugs.
Great ideas to use up greeting cards!! I've hinged 2 cards together and made like a folio with lots of pockets. Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us! Have an awesome day...💜
I had just put a college ruled stencil template in my Amazon cart. OUT it goes! Your use of corrugated cardboard is genius! Thank you so much!
Love watching you craft....you always have just the perfect "stuff" to use!!!
Happy Monday Gayle, loved , loved this video . Thanks to Julie from me . What great ideas you had , Gayle. An amazing video. Blessings 🌺🌸🌺
Oh, the bunnys !! This was great. I do love to save greeting cards. This is perfect for them. Thank you, Gayle 🐰
Great ideas, love to see beautiful cards repurposed.
ALL great ideas, Gayle! Genius, really! I love the card-booklet-mini-journal and how you transformed the card back into a journalling card! Can't wait to try these ideas with my abundance of Christmas cards! TFS!❤
Great ideas Gayle! Glad to have you back from your retreat. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your family! Safe travels 😍❤
This was quite relaxing to watch.
Hahahahaha that’s what I was thinking. Like sitting with a friend.
Great ideas! I have a ton of cards I've picked up from thrift stores so now I know what to do with them! Have a great day and enjoy the warm weather!
These ideas for old greeting cards are genius. They all turned out super cute. Great craft with me video as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you! Thank you! Just what I needed! Off to my craft room to give it a try! You’re the best Gayle!
I love this... i have soo many saved cards waiting to be 'crafted' with.... so many ideas now 😎
Thank you for sharing these things!!! I have a ton of old greeting cards that were given to me from my Birthday’s and Etc!!! Can wait to try this!!!
When you brought out your bin of scraps- wow someone exactly like me! Aloha from Hawaii!🌺
I love this idea. So cute to add in gifts or just whatever! Lol. Thanks Gayle.
All such adorable ideas! Love to see repurpose ideas rather than beautiful cards go in recycling!🥰🇨🇦
What a fantastic idea or rather ideas! I have a bunch of left over cards. My parents always saved the pretty Christmas cards to use as to from tags so they didn't have to buy tags. Using them for journals or lists is anither great way to utilize them
“Winter to summer in one day…”. I had to chuckle. Here in Florida, I said earlier this year, “if I had known spring was going to be only 3days, I would have tried to enjoy it more!”
I was going to add a similar comment…saw yours. I was raised in Florida, currently residing in Georgia…we could say this every year no doubt! What?…there are four seasons?😂
Here in Wyoming we are like hobbits, we have first winter until April then we get a few days of spring then we get second winter until the middle or end of May, then we get a few more days of spring, the third winter for a week then Bam intense heat of summer through Aug.
Love all the ideas Gayle.💜🐞
I just love these projects, Gayle! Aside from separate journals, the pictures can be used in whole or part to make new cards. (There is a channel called Crafting Vicky who does this routinely.) They could also become pieces of ephemera for a Christmas journal or December Daily.) Mom taught me in the early 1950s to cut them up for tags for next year's gifts. Also, December Dailies can be made with the little plastic photo folders: take out the "guts" and replace the cover the manufacturer provided with one you've made. Insert photos and/or journal cards. They could also be used in a glue book. Combine with a theme, like pets, recipes or anything else you can imagine. Fussy cut images and store for future projects too. Keep the sentiments if you like them. If nothing else, some teacher would be glad to get them!
Awesome "greeting card" journal's! So easy and fun! Thank you for sharing what you love!
Love all of your ideas for greeting cards Gayle! You know the dollar store has some really cute cards that would work!
Great ideas! Thanks for asking, Julie! Thanks for showing some different things we could make, Gayle!
Love these ideas so much, Gayle. I just hit a find of cards that normally sell for $26 a set for a buck at my Goodwill. I knew I was going to do something like this, but wow you never cease to amaze with your ideas and skills! Stay cool!
I'm loving these ideas! So beautiful! Thank you 😊
This is such a great idea Gayle!!! This would make a great Christmas card list that you can just put into your purse and go Christmas shopping with!!! LOVE IT!!!
Totally love your style and all the ideas. So grateful to have found you❤
Don’t know how I missed this, but when you started talking about lawns , school, I checked the date😂😂anyway, great idea! Definitely saving to do. Thanks.
That was an awesome way to use the cards! Great ideas...I always say "bless you " when you sneeze...lol. I have 3 bunnies that show up and play in our yard too! They are so cute!
Love all the great ideas Gayle
Brilliant! I was recently gifted with three enormous zip lock bags stuffed with assorted greeting cards. I was excited for the envelopes, but doubtful that I would ever use the cards. As soon as this video is over, I am retrieving them from my storage drawer and have my project for the day. Thank you so much.
Love these ideas! Thanks Gayle.💖
These are so darn cute! I love the rose journal card 😍
I love this idea, thank you! I have a little stack of cards I got at the thrift store a while ago, and they will be perfect to use up in this way. Happy girl here!
I love these ideas! How fun and easy! 🤗💕🦋
Good morning Gayle! Great request and idea. Very hot on the East Coast, heat wave. The great thing about it, I can coffee/tea dye papers, they will dry up fast. Yah..Happy Crafting..👍🌸🌸🌸
Love love love th mini journals!! Great ideas! Thank u for sharing this!! Hugs!!
I really like these ideas! I’m always finding old cards mixed in boxes etc. Sometimes we end up with “to do” piles scattered everywhere and it can get overwhelming.
I like how you break projects down into manageable pieces. It just works 💜 loved this helpful tutorial.
Fun ideas, Gayle! Tyfs! 😊💗
Really enjoyed your repurposing of the cards. Thank you. 💙🦋💙
The corrugated cardboard was a new idea for me. I love how you repurpose. I have lots of old cards from my Mom and Mother-in-law.
Oh, Gail! I have tonnage Christmas stuff. If I can make these in July, I can have a Christmas Shopping list book as my Christmas cards to mail first of December. Thank you for the inspiration!
I find greeting cards at garage sales, goodwill and ask my family for their old ones!! I love adding them to so many projects. Thank you for the reminder to use up my stash!!
Thankyou for sharing Gayle, I’ve got lots of card making kits that have sat in my studio for years, now I have some ideas to use them up! Take care and stay safe x
Everything looks awesome, Gayle! Love the end with the cute little girl on your journal! Inspiring me to go do some conversions with all the greeting cards I have, which is a whole bunch! Thanks for these tips! Sue :)
Those are so cute little journals, what a great idea.
These are great ideas! I love to repurpose my greeting cards! I find some terrific ones at the flea market and garage sales! I've cut around flowers and different objects on a card and then used it as a pocket in my journal as well.
WOW I'm new enough to be dazzled at all your quick and easy ideas. Those card journals would be so awesome for Retirement home gifts. Places to put your "don't forget to tell...(family)" for things you need to share. Love it.
All excellent ideas! Thanks for showing, what a great question! Ok, that lil girl on your idea journal cover 🥰
What a great idea Gayle, I love them and thanks for sharing...🌸

Good morning! Love these ideas! Thanks for sharing! Blessings!💕
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with me! I am going to my fiftieth class reunion this weekend (51-covid lockdown delayed it in 2020) and some of my friends are bringing me vintage cards! So excited! You're a peach! Now I sound like my mom! 😀😊😊
Absolutely loved this tutorial! I am going
to make these for people coming to an
art retreat that I will be holding in Oct.
They can use them to journal in during
the retreat or jot down ideas. Thank you so much!
Very creative and crafty. Thanks for sharing some good ideas with us. Appreciate it 👍
I LOVED this! I have always deconstructed cards that I receive, and I would reuse whatever bits off of it that I could, like ribbons and beads, but this idea is a great use for the whole card!! tfs
Hi Gayle, love what you did with the greeting cards! I have a few that I could convert, especially those that have been sent to me that I just can’t throw away. 🤗 Hugs!
Thanks so much for this Gayle. I use a lot of greeting cards and punch the card fronts. I have a ton of card backs. You gave me some ideas!! Just need to make the time.
Carolyn
Thank you for another great video with new ideas for repurposing cards!
What adorable ideas! So cute! I have tons of Christmas cards and other greeting cards that were in my Dads things I saved to use! Great inspiration and reminders! I see some Christmas in July projects I can do. Thanks for sharing Sis! Hugs! 🤗💖🤗
You had me at precious little bunnies Gayle. That card would certainly bring a smile and a little booklet would just be a fun bonus. My step mother donated to a few causes and got on a list where she received tons of cards and other stuff most every week. I kept most of those when she and dad passed. Some of them are so pretty. This would be great way to use some of those. Hugs Gayle
So many cute inspirations! Look forward to hearing your weekend stories💕🐬hugs
Great way to make mini journals. Love it
Love the idea of mini journals. I usually just do journal cards out of them. I will definitely have to try these,
I love the ideas for the greeting cards!
These came out great Gayle! Love the little journals. It's 93 here today in MA. TFS
Hi Gayle. Love your work. Thank you. I’m admiring your wrist and thumb guard as I suffer from so much discomfort in my left thumb. Looks like it helps you a lot. Best regards to you from South Africa 🐝💫
I really enjoyed watching you make things out of cards! I save every card I every get, and now I know what to do with them! Thanks!! (I wanted to make a collage out of Christmas Cards, but they're all too pretty!!)
This was so perfect 👍 I was just cleaning out my stash.
Fantastic ideas for repurposing the cards! Thanks for sharing. 😄
Hi Gayle! Thank you for this video. I'm new at making junk journals and always wonder what to do with beautiful greeting cards. I wish I had your brain...so full of good ideas and kindness. I also enjoy you sense of humor. (Love it when you say fun :)) may I give you an idea for a future video? For us newbies...although I love all the things you craft with, I just can't afford them. So please give us some ideas that can help us who have few supplies. Many blessings
I was wondering if you could message me through my Etsy shop, Rustic Prairie Gems. I have some ideas for you.
Yay I now know what to do with all my cards. Thank You 🤗
Love your ideas with the cards..I did one also a few months ago that would fit into my purse. ❤️
