  • EdgeTX treats trim switches differently than the other input switches, and using them to drive outputs can be a little confusing. Here I show you the easiest way I know of to configure the 2 way momentary trim switches to do different common outputs.

You're a legend my friend. I mapped my Gen9 two speed to the SC trim button and in the Ch3 Mix I changed the Weight to 65 to set the end points for the shifting servo, which protects it and it works perfectly. Thanks again.

He and I have shared some ideas such as how to assign dual rate and expo to the pots.

That would certainly come in handy if you were in the middle of a race and recalled that equation in Calculus to help you race better where you needed to find the roots of a specific acceleration equation.

So I hvae figures out how to set the T4 as a channel for dig but the problem I run in to is that I can not adjust the travel of the servo like I can for the 3 pos SA switch? Am I missing something? The output menu has no effect like it does for steering and the other dig servo set to SA.

If you Set the Trim Buttons trough the Global setting they should work for All Modells, if you Set them trough the special function setting, it just counts for the specific model

      @@JacobScherer Hey
      I need your help :D
As it is a known topic in MT12 Group, we are trying to Set a cruise control for crawlers, so users of Hobbywing Xerun Axe or Fusion can run their FOC systems.
I am a total noob and the MT12 is my first EdgeTX Radio, but I was able to Set a second value for CH2 (I Set my throttle on CH2 instead of CH1) so my poti S1 is now my second throttle Input. But I dont have a Button to lock my throttle Input on a random value. As example, I drive with 15% throttle and I want to lock this value, how could I Set this up?
And I dont have my TRX 4 with me, can you check out my Setup please! Probably with a Video too

In your demo, When the servos go into the negative range, that represents the esc going into reverse. how does that work with dig if both axles are spinning opposite of each other? Wouldnt it have to be at zero?

    • @JacobScherer
      @JacobScherer  Před 7 měsíci

When I ran my MOA I ran fwd/brk/rev so the first time you went negative, it was brake, then you had to go back to neutral, then negative again and that was reverse. But you are right, with most crawlers these days people run fwd/rev with no active brake, only drag brake. I can redo the demo with that in mind! 👍

I just purchased the Radiomaster MT12 surface radio. I’m trying to create a “launch control” function (for drag racing). I need to be able to adjust throttle percentage and the time it takes to clear that range, i.e. 0-30% throttle in .5 second.
I would like to be able to create multiple stages like this, i.e. 0-30% in .5sec, 30-45% in .2sec, etc. I would like to have multiple stages (at least 8 possibly more).
I would like to be able to toggle the stages off and on the fly i.e 2 stage launch or 8 stage launch or any option in between.
I would also be looking to adjust the throttle percentage and stage time on the fly i.e. 0-30% in .5sec to 0-35% in .45sec on the fly.
For ease of use I would like the maximum level of the previous stage to control the minimum level of the next stage, i.e. a 5% increase in stage 1 from 0-30% to 0-35% would make the minimum of stage 2 go from 30-45% to 35-45%.
I got this radio because I love to tinker. I’m totally new to edgeTX but I’m excited to figure out how to utilize the software. I am not looking for someone to do all the hard work for me, just point me in the right direction.
This would be like the seed control function in the Futaba 7PXR
    TIA

To start, just doing a single delay and an custom curve would be fairly straightforward to do, and might get you where you want to go. For a harder hit, you can decrease the delay or modify the curve.

@@JacobScherer thank you for your quick response. I understand how to do what you mentioned, but that is not complex enough for the type of drag racing that I do. I would need to be able to do that on a minimum of five different stages so that’s why I was asking, I know this would be a popular video for everyone and the drag racing community. There are a lot of people buying this radio for that reason.

Maybe with some updates they can make this more simple.

    • @AlexanderRoehlich

The Idea behind OpenTX and EdgeTX always was to have absolutely no predefined stuff like predefined mixes etc.
It's always, input, mix, output. Therefore it's much more flexible and versatile than others but it takes maybe a step or two more to do stuff.
They will never change that by updates.
