This may well be the best free skiing I have ever seen. Fluid. Dynamic. Stylish.
Thanks DJ!
I love to see him ski. There are many very good skiers out there but he is a Swiss clockwork on skis. Precision at the highest level.
I appreciate the comment! Thank you!
Now, for a 25m radius GS ski, that's very serius skiing.Only a few, outside World Cup can do it, and those WCrapers, never do it when free skiing. That tells a lot about them(Exeption was Tomba and a few others).
For those who view this chanell, it will be just a dream, for rest of their life.
Perfect conditions and lots of space certainly help it’s a lot more difficult on some eastern ice and narrow trails
Wow, those are some really awesome looking turns, Reilly!! 🔥🔥👌
Perfect! That was perfect :-)) Perfect snow, perfect having the whole dance floor to yourself, perfect turns, perfect form with hands where they need to be keeping you centered and balanced with the outside hand driving towards the front of the outside ski, perfect tunes, just perfect! I'm adding this one to my stash of favorite ski videos, both race and free-ski. You Da Man Reilly. I'll watch videos like this before going to bed and before skiing to program the brain. Keep-em coming. Thank you!!
Thanks for the comment! :)
Superb carving and short turns as I used to see in Your videos. Full comeback in top 5.
thanks Milan

Everything is in the description of the video.
Ski carving GS
How do you compare Original 185R25 to your Voelkl GS 188R27? Having watched both videos, the Originals seem to have much more flex?
I am just testing different flexes and materials at the moment. This GS ski is much heavier and stiffer than the Volkl one. I will try also a softer lighter GS and see what I am liking.
@@ReillyMcGlashan If by any chance you could get your hands on the Fischer GS Masters 189R27 that would be fabulous.
how are you liking the skis Reilly?
I like them a lot! FAST!
Awesome video as per usual.
Long Question :
I always like watching demonstrative and educational skiing videos on youtube. As of recent, I have come across certain skiing concepts from an American ski instructor named Deb Armstrong who creatyes educational skiing vids. Some vids come across a concept in which she mainly talks about driving the inside leg forward (which is a concept I don't quite grasp) and sometimes even refers to placing the outside leg further back (which I comprehend even less). I was wondering if you would have any opinion or answer as to this.
Comment (found in the comment section) which refers to this topic :
"Deb this is really fantastic stuff. The early knee movement causes edge at the initiation early on , then pulling back the dominant ski loads the dominant ski and stacks the body and the lunge of the inside ski moves the mass more forward for greater stability and creates more space for increased edge angle . So many coaches speak of pulling the inside ski back and pushing the outside or dominant ski forward. Now I see that the pushing of the dominant ski forward creates an unstable pushing position as the mass is therefore behind the feet. So the idea of pulling the outside ski back and moving the inside ski forward and up at the tail creates more stability and space for greater edge angles. The pulling back of the ski with the inside ski move causes the dominant ski to bend and load so much earlier. I have been working in Italy and in Switzerland last few months. Everyone is talking about pushing off on the dominant ski. The pulling back of the dominant ski as shown here creates the same idea but is far easier to execute and understand with the coordination of the inside ski movement .Thank you to you both and for the demonstrations."

Thank you very much for reading and using your time for this comment as I know it is really long.
I don't personally follow or watch any of debs stuff. I just watched the links you put in here, there is too much for a comment like this. Just simply put the old guy, I would never even think about what he's talking about. Bending the inside knee towards the chest is just a normal simple cue for creating vertical separation which is important. But really, when you are in the gym and doing a squat, where are you driving your weight through to get maximum stability?
Hoy I hope you are going ok after you injury looks like its not a problem. I am looking at this stacked thing and I am sure it looks great and is technically correct. But for fun i like to spin the top leg out and have a lot of divergence out so l can step on top ski so an open so I can step on to new uphill ski way before the transition is this bad?
I don't really understand the technique you have written, sorry!
@@ReillyMcGlashan ok not the be st expansion from me . I will try just at the transition open the up hillski and then step it big time so yo are falling in and carving up hill ski
After watching that, it’s like Powder? Meh
