Hi , can you tell us if August is really OK to visit thailand? Rains ruin the island trips or not?

So this trip was second week of August. We definitely had completely overcast/rainy days and completely sunny days. For boat tour booking and all, we booked it the day before at our hotel only and took weather forecast in consideration. I have been told that they rebook you in case of rain but not sure. Additionally, it's definitely not the time for scuba diving if that's on the plan. But yeah wouldn't push beyond August second week
