Birthing Centre and CIC

After staff in LHSC’s birthing centre identified a challenge with operating room scheduling, the team used the Continuous Improvement of Care (CIC) framework to come up with a solution.
Now, the operating room runs on schedule 95% of the time from a nursing standpoint, up from less than 50% before the change.
