The City of Spokane was en route to Spokane, WA for the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners (AARPCO) 2016 convention in Spokane, WA.
Every year, AAPRCO assembles a special train that travels around part of the country on a multi-day trip with a final destination being the convention city. 2016's train originated in Denver, CO.
