I always thought it was almost criminal that the original artists ‘Alcazar’ never really took off in the UK despite having around a 20 year career in Sweden. I guess the UK was never quite ready for amazing, camp, disco Schlager bangers!

I only recently discovered them after researching this song and I don’t know why they weren’t more popular like they have some bops!

I agree; some singles from Casino did hit the top 20 even in the UK tho. However, they had a planetary success with Crying at the discoteque. I was a teen back then and I vividly remember hearing the song non-stop everywhere in Italy and France.
