I’m glad Ravenclaw is being portrayed accurately this time. Instead of being blue and grey like in the movies, it’s blue and bronze like in the books. And instead of having a raven, it has an eagle.
It makes me wonder if you have to solve a riddle to get into the common room if you choose to be sorted as a Ravenckaw.

I won't lie when they release them screenshots to go along with this video originally and have the full versions of the playable character zoomed straight in on the Ravenclaw logo and was ridiculously happy for a 30-year old nothing was accurate and not a bloody stupid in Raven
I mean... I get that it's more "accurate" to the books for it to be an eagle, but really? An Eagle? It's called RAVENclaw for God's sake...

Dumbledore is a student in 1892 apparently which is odd as he'd be like 50? As in the movies they say he's like 150. This game apparently is 1890, meaning 2 years before Dumbledore arrives. So maybe you cross paths with him out in the world?
@@ItApproaches Albus was born in August 1881. He started at Hogwarts at the age of 11 in September 1892. He graduated in June 1899 at the age of 17. He was 115 years old when he died in June 1997. In The Half-Blood Prince (movie) Ron says; "A hundred and fifty? Give or take a few years". Ron doesn't actually know, he's just guessing.
This brings up a great question. What is the "end" of this game? I don't believe that there is a Super Uber level 100+ End Boss fight that when you kill him, You Win! Does this game end at the end of the school year? Where you have a feast, house points are revealed, and everyone goes home? The developers "end game criteria" has not yet been revealed.
Needless to say, Hogwarts Legacy is set to be the next world phenomenon. Btw, I am in love with your accent @NintendoLifestyle. 🥰

The developers confirmed theres NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS and it's apparently coming to Switch which is crazy.
It's single player so MTX wouldn't make a bit of sense.

I was super hype too and I'm not even the biggest hp fan. But you unknowingly become a super fan over the years. Countless times over holidays I've rewatched the movie series. I even read Harry Potter and the laws of rationality.
I've not been this hype since I got my first gaming console.

I´m wondering if we need to choose our own personality traits (rather than houses) while building the character and then we´ll be sorted based on those. Hmmm. Perhaps it will impact the wand we´ll get too.
Maybe the houses give us ones by default and we can possibility change them later

This wand is the very best wand you could possibly get in the game because this wand chose you. This is the wand that works for you. The developers said "you are a new student at Hogwarts starting late as a 5th. year". The developers never say "you are a beginner". In the classroom duel scene, your duel partner ASSUMES you are a beginner. From the result of the duel, you are NOT a beginner. Now, if your wand breaks and you have to take a trip to Ollivanders,.....now that is another story.

And you know what the most thing about it is one it's amazing and it is amazing.
The most amazing thing is that it all looks like a game is not overly polished you can see doors opening without animations some of the characters in the hall look like just normal NPCs is not overly polished it's not clearly or cinematic and I can't get why some people criticise that I think it looks like an amazing game but it also does look like an achievable game it looks like something we could actually get in our hands it's incredibly ambitious but it's not over promising it literally is like they've crafted this beautiful atmosphere that's kind of even more magical for being set 100 years back from where we started out with Harry I mean I got ridiculously excited about the waistcoats for example

I came close to tearing up a few times myself. Smiling on the inside all the way through. Hogwarts Legacy is already my 'Game of the Year'. Been waiting for it ever since I first heard 'whispers' about it.

The developers have said that this game will not change cannon. Sorry no Chamber of Secrets. Chamber of Secrets has set lore. It was not opened in the 1890's. No, you are not the "Chosen One". That would change the wizzarding world canon. This game does not work that way. The main story-line is "You the Student at Hogwarts". No skill tree: you go to class, learn and use what YOU choose to learn and use.(Do not cut class. Attending class is the major way you level-up your skills and abilities.) Hogwarts Legacy appears to have at least five in-game story-lines: "Goblin Rebellion", "Mysterious Corruption (red eyes)", "Poachers of Magical Creatures", "Merlin's Legacy", and "Ancient Magic". The game design allows us to support, oppose, or ignore any or all story-lines as we choose. Yes each house comes with a special "Buff". If you play through as a Griffendor, and do a second play through as a Slytherin, the two play throughs will feel different. For a single player game, the game map is HUGE! There is a revealed piece of the game map that is 1/6th of the complete map. The complete game map is estimated to be 36 sq.Km. (possibly 36 sq.Miles?) The map is highly detailed with points of interest, dungeons, buildings and settlements. I suspect Hogwarts will be located in the center of the game map so we can explore in all directions. Then there are the off-map areas. Azkaban Prison out in the North Sea, The London locations some 300 miles to the south. Gringotts Bank (and I hope Diagon Alley, Ministry of Magic, Leakey Cauldron, Knight Buss (carriage?), Kings Cross train station). Plenty of room for hundreds of hours of magical game play. But Beware! Last year's reveal trailer shows that Azkaban Prison and Dementors are in the game. They are there for a reason. Choose your friends carefully, and use your Dark Magic wisely.

I just realized that the Hogwarts house system in this game may be similar to how the life path system works in Cyberpunk 2077.
I think cyberpunk had 3 syories, here its gonna be only one.
Funny thing, you have "remove" highlighted on your huge TV screen for the game...
from what the trailer some times my only conserns are depths on skills and stil abit worryed about combet but mustly becuse you dont know about combet until you play it .
The developers said that YOU choose the style of combat and the level of combat. YOU choose how you will play this game.

This holiday is going to ba packed with Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield not to mention Gotham Knights and whatever else comes out then. NBA 2k23 is also a big one for me. So i'm so excited for true quality games coming soon. Right now, i'm enjoying Guardians of the Galaxy, Elden Ring, and Dying Light 2. Next up Shadow Warrior 3, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga and Saints Row comes out this summer. Don't think i'll have the money for these games, but i'll be patient enough for them. But this Hogwarts Legacy game got me all hyped now.

It's really breaking my brain that you're watching the trailer on a tablet, when that screen is behind you.
My TV is 4K HDR but sometimes the colours aren’t as accurate and crisp as they should be unlike my iPad Pro 12.9 inch which is Super Retina OLED display, plus I like a background on my TV for my videos to give it a “setup” vibe for videos, you know? :)

if you watch the ENGLISH SUBTITLES version of the State of Play, or read the Playstation Blog, you will find that his surname is actually _Fig_ , spelled with only one g.
Which has me curious why they wrote it like this, and that the opportunity to make him relayed to Arabella might be wasted.
For now you could play Hogwarts mystery on the fone until you wait for this game it’s my favorite fone game it’s super fun and addicting btw one of our companions could be albus himself seeing as he want to school in late 1800s to be exact 1892

@@NintendoLifestyleJD Also have you heard that a new free to download Harry Potter Game is coming out for IOS and Android? It's called Harry Potter: Magic Awakened and the story is set 10 years after the film events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2.
There is Avatar Creation although limited and you can explore both Hogwarts and outside of it as well but I don't know if you can go to Hogsmeade ingame. Thankfully I haven't seen anything like that horrid energy system that was in Hogwarts Mystery so that's a plus for me!
As for when the Smartphone Game's releasing, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will be globally releasing in English in 2022, we don't know what day or month just the year.
This sounds really cool, I wonder what the gameplay is going to be like considering it’s mobile. I usually don’t do mobile games but I’ll admit, they have got much better over the years. I got pretty addicted to Call of Duty mobile and I every now and again occasionally check out the Apple Arcade offerings

I just wish it was an MMO. Imagine.
At first I was certain it was an MMO like heavy co-op focus but apparently not, I’m 100% sure its going to be an amazing experience with a deep in-depth story driven single player RPG like no other.
I still hope that one day we will get a MMORPG set in the Wizarding World/Harry Potter, it would amazing if it was made by Avalanche since the Team does seem very passionate and isn't just making Hogwarts Legacy just for profit. Or if not another MMORPG Company that is just as passionate about the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Harry Potter Novels and Films Franchises!
Also imagine if you could choose your Avatar's Race/Ancestry to be half Giant e.g. like Hadgrid apart from just Pureblood, Muggle ect
Furthermore, imagine if ingame there was no Main Storyline of any kind (I would still like for there to be backstory on the Wizarding World and Hogwarts depending on what Century is chosen as the Setting) and a Morality System similar to Dungeons & Dragons, that would be really interesting and it would truly allow all Players to make their Avatars personality be anything they want it to be!
Having a day/night/season/weather system ingame would be amazing and ofcourse it would be so amazing if the MMORPG was using the Unreal Engine 5 as its Game Engine! Also the MMORPG World should be completely Open World and Seamless (which means that there will be no loading screens of any kind)

If the LGBTQ community boycott this game, they will spread depression and despair to all Harry Potter fans like the Dementors would do, and I don't want that to happen. Besides, before politics poisoned the LGBTQ community, they were all about peace and understanding. Now, they try to impose their will everywhere, and the reason why "hate-mongers" oppose them is because it is human nature to stand up against anyone trying to bring sadness and despair into your life.
