Jade in there too. Hold them up to the sun, all your inspections, but try some black rocks, you will find transparent ones. Peace

6:35 that's a stonefly nymph that crawled out of its old skin and molted. Trout REALLY like to eat stoneflies. You found some really cool stuff out there! That piece of pet wood is really unique, and the carnelian was cool to see. Don't see to many of those on the Yellowstone. Gotta love those destructive floods!! Nothing better than unpicked gravels!
Yeah this flood has brought a bunch of new stuff and it's nice finding carnelians I really like the color of them and I don't find them very often.
@@406findings I live in western oregon... otherwise known as CARNELIAN COUNTRY!! I find plenty of them here! Got jars full of em. I just love how they glow red and orange!

I think it will be an iris agate since it's got lots of banding, now I just got to cut the beast.

That petrified wood looks amazing. I wish I had somewhere nice like that to find cool stuff like this. All I have where I live are man made ponds 😂 so it's just mud dirt and regular rocks
Yeah the Yellowstone river has so many different rocks it's crazy but hopefully you can find somewhere close to you for some nice rocks.
These gas prices are out of hand and uncool! 😆. Dude that is an awesome spot to pick! I'm totaling stealing it if I ever make it out to Montana.
It really is a good spot but its one of my private property spots I can go on so nice try 😜
3:20 Beautiful Canrelian Agate!!! Would love to find that and you don't seen to find as many on the Yellowstone River. 5:45 Nice blue and white Chalcedony, beautiful bands here on this guy. 8:38 Wonderful banding all around that Chalcedony crystal and the one right after that. Beautiful chunky with blue and white coloring, super jelly or here those are some amazing finds!!!!

Crazy, amazing, and beautiful; all at the same time. That PW, at the 4:00 minute mark, could be a pretty rare find. It looks like it might be what's left of a tree that suffered through an ancient forest fire. If so, consider what the odds are of finding that?!
It is a very different style of petrified wood and it looks burnt so I bet it was from an old forest fire.
Wow the river looks amazing after the floods! Im so mad i missed the premier! Sundays are hard to get my internal clock to work! That first waterline chunk is nice! Nice carnelian! The water flowing sounds awesome! And that pet wood is awesome! Man its gorgeous! The little blue is cool. That mantis is so awesome! i love them! they make great pets! They eat other bugs so will keep your house pest free! That little with forts is awesome! love it! That little glower looks like an iris potential! Wow that big chunker looks like iris for sure! You got lots of potential there! Cant wait til you cut and polish to find out. An iris lure will definitely catch them big fish!
It's ok don't worry about it 😊 it was nice finding so many different things just laying on the surface of the rocks, it was an easy hound this time but I can't wait to cut that last one and see if it has iris in it.

Yes... the NEW Yellowstone River. The flood of 2022 was likely a 100-300 year event.
It changed so much of the river it's crazy.
Love to see if that one big one with all the banding has some iris in it!
I think that big one will be an iris agate just gotta get it cut now.

Wow really awesome finds. That petrified wood was crazy. And that last big agate, just stunning. I am curious as to what do you do with all your finds? Do you sell any, make jewelry , just polish or just display them?
Thanks I appreciate it 👍 and I do display some pieces cut and polish them as well. I would sell some but I don't get asked much about selling them.
@@406findings , I only buy from people I watch and trust. That way I know I'm getting the real thing. Some shops have so many fake items that look so real. I have bought from Katy-did and Theo both. And love their work as well. Would love to see some of your work you might be interested in selling.
@@donnalantz7981 yeah I know what you mean I have been ripped off by some sellers on CZcams unfortunately. I really only make the rock lures but I do have some necklace pendants I made and sometimes I polish the face of rocks. If you have an Instagram or Facebook I could show you the stuff I got for sale.
