Tutto il monologo si concentra sul fatto che lei mette "se stessa" prima di tutto, e quindi anche questa battuta rientra in questo stile, dove appunto sfotte il suo ragazzo.
P.S. Ridono anche quando lei dice "popolo eletto", alza il volume.

Dire agli Ebrei che sono il popolo eletto non li offende,anzi sono proprio loro che si autodefiniscono così...Sostenere che Gesù sia magico è invece far scadere i Suoi miracoli e la Sua natura divina a ridicole farse e nessun Cristiano può quindi accettare l'uso di un aggettivo così poco rispettoso.A parole la comica(?)sembra equidistante ma riflettendoci sopra è evidente la sua faziosità.In ogni caso perculare il sentimento religioso nel periodo storico più secolarizzato della storia non mi sembra un'operazione molto coraggiosa o trasgressiva...Ci trovo invece molto conformismo e un pizzico di vigliaccheria.
Yeah, it's kinda funny how for centuries, the Church has promulgated hatred of "The Jew" because- as the church said- "They were responsible for deicide" ie: They killed 'god.' And yet, every Sunday, every christian would go to church and praise the sacrifice of jesus as being the magical act of magical-ness that allows for their sins to be washed away thus enabling them entry into heaven.
If "The Jews" were indeed responsible for the death of jesus, shouldn't the christians be thanking them, for providing a means by which they might be 'saved'? Or we can come at this from a different angle: For any devout christian out there, if you were able to time-travel back to the day of jesus' crucifiction and you could take all the guns, ammo and body armour you wanted with you, would you stop jesus from being crucified? Doing so would mean that he would never have sacrificed himself for mankind and therefore there'd be no redemption. While a modern christian is smart enough to get all this and would most likely not interfere in the crucifiction of jesus, why is it that no one in the church, during all those centuries of blaming "The Jews" for the death of jesus, never asked themselves that one simple question?

A joke has only one resposibility, to be funny which I happen to think her content is. She is very articulate and gutsy. Problem is, jokes also have cultural limitations so what's funny for one person may go right over the head of another.
Add religion to it and it extentuates the problem further because faith is very fickle. Ask yourself what if someone said a viking joke regards Thor or an ancient egyptian joke regards Amanraah. Would you then be offended, I doubt it, but the viking or Egyptian probably would be and you would say thats just stupid, those weren't even real Gods.
