the nox also made a similar hat that has almost the exact same description as his hat. and the nox were generaly pretty spot on with making stuff to counter the greater will.

To add to this, spoiler ahead: Ranni betrayed the black knives and trapped their leader, and may be responsible for entraping the in the village in the evergaol too. Some if them still bitter decided to kill ranni as revenge, on their way to kill ranni they kill Iji and when they reach Ranni's rise their luck makesxthem encounter a mad Blaidd, who kills them.
Iji killed one of them before succumbing to the Rune of Death, as you can see one Assassin lying dead near his Smithshop. Personally I think the Black Knives went after Iji, Blaidd, and Ranni separately, as in my playthrough I killed mad Blaidd and Iji was still alive before I reloaded the grace site near his shop.
@@ultimatevtgb7551u can emcounter 2 dead assassins at iji and 3 dead assassins at blaid location
That theory would make sense if the flames were red and black tho. Cause Iji's remains were burned by the black flames (black and white) and not by the rune of death (red and black flames), so that rules out the black knife assassins for Iji's death. Personally, i like the theory that it was actually the godskins who attacked Iji, and the black knife assassins were there to help him out, but sadly that's not enough.
@alatus3310 you literally find a black knife assassin dead besides him (he managed to kill one if them)....

It really goes to show how important Ranni was.
•War councilor Iji is a major advisor to have especially a for princess implying Carian's high hopes and potentially wanted to prepare for war.
•Seluvis being a high trained mage coild show that the Carians & Academy wanted Ranni to be an extremely powerful leader.
•the Warden Wolf Blaidd would also symbolize the greater will's hopes in this emperyean but also it's concerns over her free will. Evident by the only other known wolf warden is Marika's.
And quite frankly they were all right to want her as a symbol for their ambitions, but just means she was even more justified in starting her liberation even if it meant a fall of a nation.

i suspect he was originally the blacksmith for the gloam eyed queen originally. possibly even the one who made many of the black flame based weapons in game (they always look like bladed weapons, but the blade part is designed out)
