for me I prefer hammer shot grouping. helps me deal with an annoying skyros.
The stake shields are very useful. People don’t take into account that even if it’s 500 hp, it will block a full 10k hit from anything.
That's only the case if the enemy uses something that does discrete dmg like spear. If it's continuous dmg like calamity, that shield might as well not be there

Yeah and full tank builds such as the now becoming popular kestrel, harpoon invader combo they run rechatge and shield durability extending pilot skils
@@Man-ds9ir what are you talking about? Spear doesn't go through shields. It's a light energy weapon with 500m range
Both are good for most cases, and hammer is great for dishing out quick damage where stake helps with shielded robots.

love your comparison videos. so accurate for me to understand clearly :) unfortunately when the new 9.3 update hits it might be difficult to compare because of the pilots upgrading will be much difficult
Im taken back by this comparison, they both are well balanced and both have equally good and bad advantages/disadvantages. I would personally go with hammer since it has much better range and i could use that advantage to bait enemies into using an ability or AM. Awesome video as always dude 👌
Thing is hammer is a shotgun so aygir showed it in its best possible form. Any farther and stake would win but it does have a very short range
Not even true, the best possible scenario would be fighting a physically shielded robot/titan (angler, shell, rook and heimdall), which Sir Aygir must have forgotten about in the comparison. Realistically, there are still many anglers and rooks in which Hammer would have a huge advantage.
I like the stakes because they go through sheilds including absorber sheilds
Currently running hammers on my baihu lynx because i dont have stake but ill say both are very good weapons with hammer being a bit more obtaniable to f2p

Nice comparison... distance I believe is a major factor in terms of battle techniques and skill. I am surprised by this as I thought the Stake would be juiciest.

A small typo in the text after the test but point taken. I myself don't find Hammer and it lesser version as good currently, so I replaced them with Scald, Scorcher, Incenirator for higher effect accumulation and more range. Considering the fact that Ya-mantao made it great return the amount of maps that require from you having more range increased. However, I would still go with Hammers on smaller maps since their passive can effectively pull you through 1v2 or even 1v3.Bomb effect is kind of broken

Both are extremely effective! It's about picking your targets wisely really. Which applies to most bots realistically.

Stake surely is a good weapon to use on Lynx. I'm personally using glory and from time to time i'm using stakes because i got two and honestly i'm doing so bad with them i cant play with those it's crazy

I have a question for you AYGIR. I just got the new Lynx pilot "Levi Hickok" and I'm wondering which pilot you think is better for Lynx overall?
I'm currently running "Sati Felidae" which works well but I'm assuming Levi is the better pilot due to the QR activation during ability for when you come up against other Lynx' when figbting for beacon control?
I'm just waiting for the next pilot upgrade discount to level up the Levi pilot but I value your input as to which one you think is the better choice.

I tried Levi and it goes well with shotguns like Hammer & Glory where you quickly burst out the dmg and go back to safety, very effective for countering anything with beak and other Lynx bots. But I personally like the extra 2s from Sati more. It's a bit hard to make a clear pick here. But for Stake combo Sati seems better.

The shield generated by the Stakes make it the better option IMO.
Both gun are very good but I personally like the stake more cuz its can get through the shield and even giving a yellow shield too

I think the question of hammer or stake is based on the robot you’re going to put them on, Lynx is a robot who likes to get in, do a lot of damage then get out, which more matches the hammer and shotgun like weapons, stake is a weapon that has good damage and no reload, as well as tracking while locked on, and can pierce shields, so it’s better for a robot that is good at being in a fight and staying in a fight, like tanks or Nether, but you can still do well with Stake Lynx cos they are both good either way.
Agreed. Hit and run bots with hit and run weapons. Lynx and Nether are perfect for this style of gameplay with their regenerative forcefields. AYGIR posted a great video yesterday demonstrating this principle perfectly. 4x Stellar Halo on Nether. Needless to say he absolutely killed it. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch.
I'm pretty sure you could give AYGIR a Stalker with two Magnums and he'd still kill it. 😂

Can you please make a lynx decay vs lynx redeemer with otto pilot
Lynx with new pilot and melee weapons can ignore Stealth and Energy Shields. It has a Forcefield to prevent unnessecary damage taken, has 150m weapon range but 40.000 Aegis to cover it up, has Stealth, melee weapons can brake Forcefields easily as well as deal enough damage to outplay any defence point, has the highest default speed at 70 KM/H and can execute heavily armored robots at %15 as well as Titans at %10 in 500m range. So basicly is can outplay Titans, tanks, assasins, beaconrunners and Titan killers (mostly flying robots) while having 3 different defensive abilities on top of Drones and Motherships...

As far as Stake vs Hammer on the Lynx the only real benefit to running Stakes is the shieldbreaker which is great for taking out Mars, Typhon, Fafnir and any of the other shielded bots. When it comes to chewing through straight HP though Hammer is more effective even with the 5 second reload.
If I was to ever make a WR dream team to squad with you would definitely be first on my list.

i like hammer personally cuz they dish out nice damage even to robots covered in forcefields.

Clearly a mistake by devs.. a 150m weapon should destroy a 500m weapon at close ranges.. and people wonder why I run a ton of these weapons on my brawlers thinking they are just range weapons 😂

I appreciate what you did here. The game is getting stupid with overpowered coiner shit and store prices thru the roof. My whole clan has quit playing over the last few months. I really enjoy it otherwise so this intel helps me stay in game, tho I am still kinda fading out because of the blatant greed. ..still thanks much fren.
